Quadzilla Adrenaline Economy and MPG
@Quadzilla Power ok I did the new update and I lost something with the app that was previously very helpful. For example, if I chose v2 1998-2002 tuning and selected it. And I chose the anti tm tune to be active I would then be able to toggle to v2 quadzilla only for my vehicle selection. Then I would go to custom tunes click new tune name it anti tm and boom the same timing fueling backdown etc were all automatically filled to the parameters within the tune. With the update I did today I lost that ability. Not sure how old the app was on my tablet but that feature was very nice to have!! If my wording doesn’t make sense let me know I will take a vid to explain it further in detail.

Quadzilla Adrenaline Economy and MPG
@Mopar1973Man I just did the lates flash above for my box do I also need to update my app? I don’t have the avg mpg reset option in my settings. Here is the vehicle selection I have chosen. I have toggled between most of them, but I am beginning to think my app is out of date

@Mopar1973Man are you running your daily tune while towing?

Quadzilla Adrenaline Economy and MPG
@Mopar1973Man sounds good that’s exactly what is was trying to do. Just tough to go through through the tuning parameters while driving. My axle gearing ratio is actually 3.73’s so it’s a little better but not much.

Quadzilla Adrenaline Economy and MPG
@Quadzilla Power was not able to recreate the red x’s staying on the screen when I restarted the truck and app. So if I clear the date log after a couple hrs it will free up the memory? Wonderful I think I can figure the MPG stuff out now! Thanks all BTW I am going to be trying to build a tune over the next week to maximize fuel mileage with this rig on my truck. It’s about 1600 lbs and over this past weekend I was averaging 13 MPG(hand math) with @Me78569‘s mild injector tune. I am going to start with the tune builder but if you guys have recommendations I am all ears.

Quadzilla Adrenaline Economy and MPG
@Quadzilla Power I just updated my box and flashed it to your latest link above. My questions are: 1. How can I reset my gallon trip? When I go to data logging and hit clear my gallon trip remains unchanged. 2. With 7x.009 Injectors what should my approx offset be? 3. When I now add different modules to my different screens the red x's stay on the screen even after I close the selection bar below, is this normal or do I need to do a re-flash? Lastly, has anyone going on a extended trip approx 4+ hours of constant driving and had everything on their screen freeze except for fuel pressure and EGT's? This has been an on going issue with my truck similar to @Mopar1973Man where I have to restart my tablet and my truck in order to get it to re-connect to the quad and start working again. I am not sure if its my tablet or if it is the quad itself?

Quadzilla V2 Custom Tunes
@Scottfunk I’d start here for the custom tuning. We have custom tunes on the downloads section that will help you increase your power and also increase your fuel mileage.

Hydraulic Clutch Master And Slave Cylinders Replacement
@Mopar1973Man if my clutch feels spongy should I bleed and see if that’s a remedy? Upgrade and get a new one since I upgraded to the dual disk? Thinking I need an adjustable one since I have to burry the clutch in the floor to disengage. This video helped a lot!!!

Dual Disk Upgrade clutch fork question
I spoke with a rep at South Bend before I posted this topic. The rep gave me an answer but it sounded completely made up. When I asked why there were burrs and bb’s on the new clutch fork he tried to tell me quality control must have missed it. With that sort of quality control I was skeptical and wanted a second opinion.

Dual Disk Upgrade clutch fork question
Hey guys I am doing the south bend dual dish 3250-5K-ORG with the 1-3/8” input shaft upgrade as well as the 5th gear retaining nut upgrade. I am all the way to the clutch for and the throw out bearing step. I read the directions and it said to replace the clutch fork with the one supplied in the kit. However it is poor quality compared to the OEM one. Will I have issues if I do not use the south bend one? I’m looking for an education on this because to me these parts look very similar.

P-Pump 24V with V2 tuning
@Mopar1973Man how long did your original VP44 last?
-
P-Pump 24V with V2 tuning
@Quadzilla Power So why did the VP44 get such a bad rap? The reliability of the early pumps due to weak lift pumps?
-
P-Pump 24V with V2 tuning
Ok guys I need some schooling. Can you run a P-Pump on your 24V and still have some V2 tuning options? Or do most of the tuning parameters lie within the VP44?

Digital all in 1 gauge Cluster
@GSP7 the guy is asking a lot, more than $18K. However, I listed my 99 24v for $20K and I have had multiple people asking to see it. The price of these trucks in Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Arizona is through the roof. Especially if they have less than 100K on them and are 4x4 5 speeds.

Digital all in 1 gauge Cluster
I am having a hard time explaining what I’m after. I don’t want to necessarily plug anything into the truck I am more looking for let’s say a “box” under the hood that has say 5 wires that run from it. For instance, if you want the egt’s, boost, coolant, fuel pressure, intake air temp etc. you take those specific wires and put the sensor in the appropriate spot that sends the signal back to your “box” then your box sends a signal with your information to your monitor in the cab.

Digital all in 1 gauge Cluster
@Mopar1973Man crap haha I was afraid of that. Let me put put it this way is there a plug in computer to hook a bunch of 12 volt gauges to all the necessary places that put out a Bluetooth signal that can be localized on a single LCD screen like I have with the Quadzilla? I may may be OCD but I like having a super clean look and this is what I am after
-
Digital all in 1 gauge Cluster
@dave110 the truck is a 97 so that might be exactly what I am looking for! I figured with all the new technology out there there had to be something out there!

Digital all in 1 gauge Cluster
I may be purchasing a 12 valve in the near future that is 100% bone stock with only 60K miles on it. Is there such thing as an all-in-one LCD display that can display: fuel pressure, boost pressure, oil pressure, radiator temp, tranny temp, intake air temp, EGT’s, etc? I have a quad on my 24v and it’s really nice having one screen with all my info right there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Floating Gears
@Mopar1973Man based on my application what are your thoughts on this clutch? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sbb-sdd3250-5k
-
Floating Gears
@Marcus2000monster when shifting you should have s slight pause in neutral before going into the next gear
-
Floating Gears
If you’ve been driving the truck for a few years you might be better at it than you think! At least I feel like I am. None of the gears need to be forced in. I shift around 2K rpms when up-shifting
-
Floating Gears
@Marcus2000monster Correct no clutch once I have the truck moving. If you are smooth enough it literally goes into the gears like butter. Only when down shifting do I need to tap the throttle to get it into gear. @Mopar1973Man what are the cons other than the syncros? If it’s detrimental to my tranny I will just bite the bullet sooner

Choosing the right turbo
@mopar440cu my best advice would be to borrow a calibrated torque wrench. I bought a Tekon off amazon to do the install. It’s was a POS. Both times I torqued my studs I did one at a time and stepped them up to spec. I can tell you after I did the sequence with the Tekon and came back with a Proto torque wrench and I was able to get a full turn on the first 4 studs and by that time the next few studs were only finger tight..... also after about a week or so of heat cycles I took the rockers off again and checked everything. If you do your work yourself it’s worth the extra step. Trust me I did a head gasket all myself. It’s a PITA

Choosing the right turbo
I ordered the same turbo back around Black Friday for my truck. With the quad and the custom tuning you will be able to light that turbo and get moving in a hurry. I saw you have a built tranny so you will be happy!! The guys here offering knowledge definitely know what they are talking about they offered the exact same advice for me! If you’re not running studs don’t adjust the waste gate all that much. I had a faulty torque wrench when I installed my ARP’s and promptly blew my head gasket. I think it was a combo of added boost and “loose” head studs
