47re tranny problems
What's the procedure to check the output speed sensor? After the Tranny overhaul even with the 35" you wouldn't think it would slip causing premature wear especially after 9000 kms?I only pull my 18' boat a few miles from home but going slow up the hills I have to leave the tranny in 1st otherwise the Tranny high temp light comes on.On heavy pulls at low speed do these trannys need xtra cooling?

So pull the fuse out and disconnected the 3 leads on the alternator and same thing so the alternator is ok next is do the tv cable and check what governor pressure solenoid was installed in the rebuilt? If no luck I'll try to find another Tranny shop for advise and double check the overhaul??

So replace the alternator and same thing tranny's doing the same thing 2nd gear hunt the alternator guy took the old one apart and it was not worth rebuilding in real bad shape so he told me that a new one should solve my issues and no luck ?so I checked the ac voltage and I'm getting in the 45 mv at the alternator?does that mean I purchased a bad rebuilt? No sure where to go?Here s pics to show the results Any info on adjusting the tv cable? Here's pics on the 2 overhaul in 9000 km?

47re tranny problems
The tranny is still acting up from 1st kind a skips 2nd then goes in 3rd ,one thing I did is when pulling up hill if I leave the tranny in 1st gear it doesn't run hot if in drive it overheats, the second gear doesn't engage fully overheating tranny,my traany guy told me it's bad grounds causing the issue some guys did the fix by wrapping grounds with foil paper??Is this possible?

47re tranny problems
Thanks Hag,I'll need to find fittings to adapt guages, there's nothing on my bill from the Tranny guy regarding governor pressure valve & sensor maybe it's a problem with low pressures?? Question can the 47re tranny handle 35" tires with 3.55 diff"s maybe too much of a load on them, does anyboby as the same problem?

47re tranny problems
Checked the AC voltage from the alternator and I picked up 22.8 mV ac ? is that good? Then I pulled the alternator fuse out went for a ride same thing. How and where can you check the pressure at the front pump? The tranny guy mentioned that it's probably the governor pressure not engaging due to voltage from the alternator? When my tranny shifts from 1st to 2nd there's like a delay if I drive up a steep hill in drive the tranny overheats but if I put it in 1st gear then no problem.

47re tranny problems
Last year I got my tranny completely rebuilt, our local tranny specialist put everything heavy duty and it never performed too good it seemed like the shifting was sluggish from 1st to 2nd and now 9000K later the tranny let go again he pulled it apart and everything was wore out he replaced everything under warranty and he mentioned that the problem was the alternator, as anybody experience something similar?

relocating ddrp pump
what I'm doing is going off the existing Deutz connection for the old carter pump which is probably going through a relay, but not sure the original wire size as the carter pump was 40 gph and my ddrrp is somewhere around 90 gph .I'll go one size up on the original wiring as I'm going 10' longer, does anybody knows the original wire size for the carter pump?

The frame is 1 1/2" angle by 3/16" it's pretty heavy duty once bolted to the floor it's pretty solid my tool box sits almost on top.The frame can be bolted through the cross member for added support if required.
