  1. So far I tried almost everything but the BD filter,so this one seems to be the one that'll bypass the problem, hopefully!!!So this is my next step.
  2. my truck is the same lock/unlock ,tried different things no luck, next I'll check the alt wiring,if I don't use my truck for 4/5 days or more, when I put it in drive the truck doesn't move for a few seconds .Is that related to the lock/unlock of the torq convertor? - - - Updated - - - Never tried pulling the fuse for the alternator, where's the location
  3. I'll try the APPS reset first then if it doesn't solve the problem where do I look for the bad ground?
  4. what do I have to do for an APPS reset?
  5. when I'm cruising with my cummins at a constant speed close to the range where my tranny should be shipping gear,my rpm goes up & down roughly 200 to 300.what controls the shifting is it a vaccum set up or electric? This does it any time I'm cruising in the range it should be shifting.I checked my fuel pressure it's roughly at 12 psi constant no fluctuation.I was thinking maybe a vaccum leak or low voltage. The rpm fluctuates more when shifting to overdrive and keeping a constant speed 45 mph, anything over 55 mph no fluctuation. It you keep a constant speed in the shiftihg range of any gear rpm fluctuates, worst when going to overdrive. If I'm pulling a load there is no slippage.I checked the oil level ( good) and last year changed the oil & filter, the rig as 306,000 KM.
  6. Somebody mentioned the best is air bags ,this way you have better control on the ride & load
  7. Thanks!! I check with the spring shop for higher blocks
  8. is there a kit to lift the rear 2".I did the 2" level kit ,the front seams higher than the rear now
  9. Keep on truckin, this is amazing!!! Good luck on your 2000000 miles ...........
  10. I guess I'm not the only having problem searching for info:banghead:
  11. where's the best spot to hook up a temp gauge on my 2001 ,my tranny is a 47re
  12. Is this filter actually good ,is there any chance this filter plugs up ,is all the oil going through that filtration? If you need to wait for the pressure to go up this is probably hard on the engine. What's the cost for this filter set up?
  13. What kind of set up do you have? The extra filteration with an 8 ' hose what's the purpose? With rotella -t 10w30 my pressure goes up almost instantly even in cold weather,I'll probably stick with that viscosity and plug it in in real cold weather.
  14. can you get thicker spacers to lift the back end?
  15. I'm running 10w30 rotella t diesel engine oil,all good but my buddy mechanic told me to go synthetic 5w40 on my next oil change, but then I was talking to this old mechanic and he told me he did that to a high mileage truck and he blew the engine,he figures the synthetic oil washed out the engine & plugged some oil porting. He doesn't recommend that for my truck 298,000 km?
  16. Right on,I'll go back on the site to see what they have
  17. glowshift offers a fuel pressure gauge that as a range from 10 to 102 psi for my truck the range is a little too high,my manual gauge shows idling 20 psi and average running pressure 16 psi, usually a gauge is at it's best accuracy at 75% .The gauge should be in the range 0-30 psi,I think I'll shop somewhere else.
  18. all good ......I cleaned the connector on the switch and greased the 2 connections with dieletic grease, everything 's good thanks again!
  19. did anybody ever added a spacer on the rear suspension?
  20. here's a few pics of rear suspension
  21. tonight I'll pull the switch out do I need to drain the diff. oil? Everything 's good I can go from 4x4 to 2x4 no problem but no light on the dash.
  22. so when you want to go with 35" tires they say you need a 2" levelling kit so the tires will have more clearance, this is kind of odd they don't sell you a kit that lift the back end also. Now I need to make something up to lift the back,I sure don't want to drive around with the front higher than the back
  23. waiting on tires ,looking at the truck it seems the front is a little higher ,maybe the bigger tires will make a difference:cookoo:
  24. all good I'm getting 20 psi at the vp44 inlet.....NICE.....for now all I have is a gauge under the hood, when I rev it right up it drops to 15 psi no load,I,m looking to set up a gauge on the dash somewhere? What,s best?
  25. bridging the switch gives me a 4x4 light on the instrument cluster, great I,ll pick up a switch on monday ,what,s the $ range?:thumb1:THANKS AGAIN!
