  1. LMC truck has them also. Here ya go. Lmc truck washer res link
  2. I might try and sell my whole NV5600 manual setup. That would prolly get most of the money for a built trans. Anyone need a full NV5600, 6spd 4x4 swap??? With t-case? Prolly sell axles/rolling frame too, D70 and D80, both disc brakes, 4.10's with detroit truetrak differential, mag hytec cover Suspension?
  3. I wouldn't even bother with trying to fix it. A new one is only like $30 or you could find a used one on FB market place for $5-$10... Save yourself the headache.
  4. I would pull the water pump and inspect it and the rubber seal since it there no coolant in it. The gasket is like $3, new pump $60 (orielly's) if there is any inclination that the bearing has play or is starting to seize. You can have you alternator checked as well while your in there with the belt off, that would eliminate a charging issue, and its free. I agree with @Tractorman a coolant pressure test is definitely needed, check your engine oil and level just in case you blew a head gasket. After that its on to wiring, fuses, etc. Your app is showing no codes and the key on/off is showing the 4 codes? I, or as anyone else would say, do not trust the factory pump and don't chance it. Get a Fass system as soon as you can. At a minimum, since you just got it, change the fuel filter(s). Rule of thumb for me on any used vehicle is all the oils changed, and ALL new filters. My 🪙🪙
  5. Even just for a fun play truck, grocery getter, type deal? Im no stranger to rowing gears, small and big trucks. I have never driven a go-fast play truck with an auto though. The auto calls for me lol but the headache, price, and complexity keep leading me back to manual... Im just trying to justify which one, and its a booger.
  6. Yes indeed, carpet is on the "to get list" The list of stuff to do and get is quite long but the plan is coming together nicely!
  7. Ive heard the nv4500 are alot simpler/easier than the nv5600. The 56 the case has to be dropped onto the whole stack of everything and its a pain the line up! Im mainly asking those questions in the sense I am going only going auto, aside from the first one which was should I stick to my guns and go auto or go the simple route of the 5spd. Lol
  8. I have always had a manual on all of my 2nd gen cummins trucks, mainly due to the obvious reason's we all know with dodge transmissions, to include failure, reliability, strength, and PRICE (auto), especially when you add any power to it. So now I am trying to do a crash course on auto transmission in 2nd gens cause I am clueless on everything/anything with them. Man this is making me feel so dumb... Gonna be trying to learn about lockup, torque converter stall, billet this and billet that, what auto parts, auto computers or tuners?, etc... I am so so so tempted to put a nv4500 in this build, just for the availability and strength! Please reference 24v 1500 Cummins Thread check it out in the cummins swap section) 1999 Ram 1500 Shortbed 2wd Cummins Inspiration Video of what I'm going for But I think Ill regret it in the end since this will be a play truck obviously. (Keep in mind I plan to try and keep power around or below 600hp) Ill just be spinning the tires irregardless in this light truck... NO - I have rebuilt my NV5600 before (for my truck in sig) but I think rebuilding an auto would be way out of my league even with my extensive mechanic background with JD. So Ill list just a few questions/thoughts to start with for the well versed auto guys. 1- Should I still go for an auto over a simple nv4500? 2- Could I rebuild an auto? (this could expand into another big discussion via what parts/brand etc.) 3- Who/where would you choose to send a core to and have them rebuild it for you? $$Suncoast - ATS$ Transmission - ETC
  9. Ill just have those "2500" lowering springs up front. I guess I forgot to put the link in for the build Im following. Check it out, pretty sweet rig! 1500 Cummins YT video
  10. Thank you! Ill prolly dive into this with my new build. 24v Ram 1500 Cummins 😉
  11. Picked up my next project!!! Mint condition inside and out 1999 Ram 1500 single cab shortbed with a v6. Going to be putting a 24v Cummins in it. I think Ill be going with an auto for this one, I have tons of NV5600 and NV4500 available around me but for ease of drivability and fun, me thinks auto... I should be getting my donor truck this coming weekend. 2001 Cummins 2500 single cab 4x4, Ill have the disc brake axles for sale soon if anyone is interested in the area? I dont know if ill keep all the questions in this section, I might post in the 24v section for some questions if/ when I need too. Going to be doing lots to this little guy! Here is a link to what my inspiration is coming from and pretty much what its gonna be/ look like. Minus the color, going metallic white with some bronze wheels most likely. Looking for sponsors....... 😉Fass Fuel, Quadzillla, DAP injectors and turbo(s), loads of LMC and more! 😉 More to come!!!

@Mopar1973Man how do you like your wolfbox? I been seriously thinking about getting one for my 19' Ram and prolly my 2nd gens too... I know there's a couple of different models, what do you have? I want one that is on a loop. Idk how big that loop is, guess that depends on your SD card size. It seems to fit the bill, dash cam plus rear view camera, there ads are all over my fb lol....
  13. Im gonna need to do some more digging on this apps "delete" and this conversion. Very interested, possibly needs to be a article 😉
  14. I dont believe the grid heaters cycle after the truck is running. Did you do the wiggle test along the entire harness checking for shorts and voltage?
  15. Just doesn't make sense having additional blends of the already "winter blend" 🤣
  16. This is crazy! I think Ill continue to stick with only using autos only pumps.
  17. I will have to take you up that. I thought I had a slight grasp on it before the accident but after with the TBI and my memory loss Im not making head way. Nothing like waking up to that smell...🤮 Possibly, tomorrow might be better. I got this late and were cooking dinner then showers etc and all the fun stuff before bed time. Ill make sure to plan it accordingly, can we do around 6pm tomorrow? My listed phone is fine. Thank you @Tweety Bird for the kind words!
  18. Man that sucks, a lot to deal with. They had to take out all of my large intestine and some of my short intestine. I had an ostomy for quite awhile, I know the feeling! I was absolutely miserable with it. Now I have short bowl syndrome which is a pain in the ***, pun intended, with everything hooked back up Sounds like were both in bad shape with completely changed lives lol, I'm here if you ever need to talk or vent 😉 The mudslide is just crazy! I cant imagine losing my shop, much less dealing with the aftermath. If I was closer I would help out with the dirt work, I'm pretty handy with a dozer and skidsteer.
  19. Oh my goodness, I have been gone for quite awhile! Just thought Id say Hello to all and maybe explain my absence. I don't remember how long ago Its been so Ill just touch on the big things. I am out of the Army now, still miss it really bad and wish I could go back. Jan 2023 I was diagnosed with Cancer- although the best kind of cancer. Thyroid Cancer... Went through all the steps and finally got it removed and I have been clear ever since! May 2023 We lost our 39 week old daughter Brinley, She is in Heaven and Lord I cant wait to see her again! Aug 2023 I was in a BAD wreck. Got life flighted, almost died 3 times, I bleed out internally took 6 units of plasma and 6 units of blood (your body holds 8 if I'm not mistaken) broke my pelvis in half ( just think massive splits) broke all my ribs, multiple vertebra, had abdominal compartment syndrome, got sepsis due to a missed bowl perforation, they removed liters of puss and lots of other stuff out of me, and also had respiratory failure. Was in a wheelchair for some time, had to learn to walk again -weird feeling. Also suffered alot of head injuries and mental health issues. Oct 2024 We added another little boy to the family so now were up to 3 kiddos in the house! I worked for John Deere as a mechanic, was a Police Officer, a Firefighter, prior Military, and now at 36 I am permanently Disabled. So now I have tons of time on my hands! I'm back to as good as I'm gonna get, I tinker in the shop, do metal fab when I can, I do a lot of leather work too. I just got another 2nd gen truck that Ill be posting about too. Happy to be back and look forward to learning more and asking tons of questions!!! 😁 PS: I still HAVE NOT figured out this dang Quadzilla and tuning (years.....) !!!! 🥺🤬😤🤣🤣🤣
  20. Have you checked for play in the shaft? Up/down & in/out Any visible grooves in housings, fins look OK, etc. I'm kinda leaning more towards a possible exhaust leak of some sort from from your card on a bicycle reference. Sounds are hard to describe and without hearing them, they can be perceived differently.
  21. When you say rotating the turbo, are you meaning that you loosened the bolts on the turbine side and rotated the bearing housing? You can clean the gasket off by not removing turbo or clocking it. It will take time and patience but it will work. Sure taking the turbo off is easier, depends on what your doing to justify the work, additional time, and gaskets/seals. When you replaced your drain line gasket, I assume that is the only line you replaced, did you oil the turbo from oil feed side before startup? Same applies if you replaced the oil feed line too. Every time I do a drain line or supply line I make it a habit to pre oil the turbo bearings or bad things can happen. It could be that a manifold gasket is not properly centered and has an exhaust leak...
  22. I'm the same 3.99 in Fair Grove, MO. Prolly cheaper in Springfield...
  23. The NV5600 is not hard to rebuild, a bit clumsy to do, its completely different than the NV4500. I think it could just be the syncros and fluid from the past life. I have one of the best parts places for these transmissions here in my home town. Let me know if you need anything, and their super cheap (last time I checked).
  24. What was exactly broken in it? There's not much to those t-cases and fairly easy to rebuild and cheap...
  25. You could even put your own pop rivets in there. Wouldn't hurt, small and easy to do. And bolts work too as previously mentioned.
