  1. 206, 064 on the OEM injectors when I got back from judging a retriever hunt test today. Still running good.
  2. Already planning on it. Thanks. I let the wallpaper stripper (DIF gell type) sit for 15 minutes and then sprayed another coat on and let it sit before trying it. Still a nightmare. Still in the planning stage. Tile is being considered. That area was a corner sink area. It comes out square when it's screw back to the wall. I just took out the framing for it so that I could remove the old drywall behind it. Hopefully it'll turn out "pretty"!!
  3. Well one small project (strip wallpaper and paint and replace window) turned into a big one (gutting the whole bathroom). Trying to strip the old wallpaper was a nightmare, as I would've had to skim coat the walls with mud to repair the divots from the scraper. The linoleum was stained from a small water leak from the shower stall and a mouse nest in the wall. The shower stall was rust stained from my soft water etc., etc.. I gonna re-use the toilet and the sink. So I have to put some new flooring down, rerock the walls, tape/mud them, replace the window, prime/paint, install new shower stall, etc., etc., etc.. A few pix.
  4. If you believe what the "experts" say that 1964 was the "last" year of the "BabyBoomers"...............................................well your good cyber-bud, Dorkweed, just turned the BIG 50 today!! Don't feel any different............except for the new allergy I'm developing here within the last few years about this time. It's gotta be some tree or grass pollen.................but I wanna scratch my eyes out of my head!!!! Never had allergies before. I never got the invite to the big cyber-party that I hear y'all are having for me now!!
  5. That's why I stopped my post!!! She needs to do some research me thinks!!
  6. And for tire wear. If'n you have dual torsions, you still need a level ride height for proper weight distribution. Dual torsion axles aren't as good going over dips and bumps either
  7. YabbaDoo; in all honesty, just go to a local garden store (or call around) and pick up either the seeds or some tops. Then just stick them in the ground.................somewhere that you won't care if it takes the spot over; because it will. It's very invasive and hardy, almost impossible to kill. Loose soil, sunny spot...........harvest in the Spring when the tops start greening up coming out of the ground or in the Fall after a good hard frost kills the tops down............ You may wish to check with a garden store about growing it down South for any particulars
  8. I think I know the answer; but I'd appreciate a response from someone that tows 5 ers and large TT's. Why don't they come with the Dexter Torsion axles vs. the tandem leave spring design??
  9. Check this out guys and gals..............................http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nzx8Y--UNto...................................pretty cool. Couldn't find any links etc. with the thing going down the road though??!! It would've sounded a lot "badder" had the engines been old McCullock 60cc bad boys!!!
  10. Just saying..............not arguing!!!!!
  11. Hmmnnn....................What could we trade??? Just teasing you a bit.........................but the food around where we stay in NoDak..............................usually in and about the Jamestown and Medina and Woodworth and Gackle areas is pretty bland....................except for the LUTEFISK!!!!!!!!! However; there is a place in Medina that opened a few years ago that has AWESOME BBQ. Here's the link..........http://www.firehouse-ribs.com I highly recommend it if'n you get near there!!! Call and check prior..................I heard last year when I was up there that she keeps strange hours.
  12. Sorry, someone had to do it!! Post up some pix of yourself............before, during and after. I turn 50 on Sunday................still 176-180lbs. at 5' 11". Simple carbohydrates are the main cause of the obesity epidemic......................they are easily digested and cause a spike of insulin in the blood which causes your body to store it as fat. Noticed I said SIMPLE carbohydrates...............sugars, pasta, processed grains, rice, junk food beer/alcohol, etc.. Carbohydrates as a whole take LESS calories from your body to digest than do protein and fat...............eating more protein and fat in relation to carbs make your meals "stick to your ribs" and making you feel fuller, longer. Good luck to you.
  13. Liquid stupid Liquid gold Beer still tastes way better All of the above still wind up in the sewer..............whether it be out the top again or by the usual bottom route.
  14. W&F, it's just 6 "heads" that I got from Mom and Dads horseradish patch and planted them here 11 years ago when I moved in. The plants at Mom and Dads were heads from my Grandpa's (Moms Dad) patch prior to that. I have to work at controlling it, as it's so invasive. When making it, there's no "benefit" in waiting thinking it'll increase the "heat". I've read that the heat is a yearly thing..................probably depending on temperature, moisture, when harvested, etc. It surprises me that a NoDakian such as yourself knows of horseradish. Usually it's just salt, pepper or ketchup for spices up there by you!! Maybe occasionally yellow mustard!!
  15. Does not Bosch themselves reman injectors John?? And in all honesty, I'm not seeing any potential problems. Just started this thread to get a discussion about CR injectors. As I said in my OP.....................it's really, really confusing as to what it what and how and why!!
  16. Probably because Moorhead sounded to sexual!!!! In all honesty; I think they named the movie Fargo because, of the way you NoDakians and Sotans pronounce it!!! Yah hey dare!!!
  17. Just put some eye drops in to be able to see to take this picture and post it for y'all. Probably a bit more than a quart there. And yes; I took one for the team and sampled.........several times .........just to make sure.......................no more sinus's!!!!! It's a tradition taught to me by my Grandpa years ago...............along with mushroom hunting. Every bit of pleasure in life should be offset by an equal amount of pain. Making the horseradish is the pain: consuming it is the pleasure!!!
  18. My Autometer UltraLites have been very reliable also.
  19. What are we likely to see/feel/experience?? Both long term...........slow death. And short term..........catastrophic failure. As of today, MightyWhitey has 205,612 miles...........and running great and getting get mileage. Other than the sensor issue in Feb., all is well. Reading over the years; and much more recently, it seems OEM CR injectors last anywhere from 40,000-400,000 miles. Not a real consensus for sure. Other than the obvious of making oil, white smoke and hard starts........................What are most "likely signs" of eminent CR injector failure, if any?? Noisier, RP variations from normal, poor mileage, etc. And what's the deal with using '03-'04 injectors in '04.5+ engines??? I've read a bunch on that..................and still am in the dark. I can see how it can work................but it's gotta be spot on. I just don'tlike that idea yet if'n I need to replace injectors here shortly. Where to buy new injectors from would be another question that I have. New, remans, nozzles, etc. Can someone explain it al to mel in small words, just to make sure I understand it?? Thanks......................AH64ID................in advance!!
  20. All this "bio-fuels" push should be done with a native species like "switch grass" vs. a food stuff plant. It'll keep food prices lower, refined btu's are way higher, it's better for wildlife, better for soil erosion control, multiple harvests during growing season, and can be burned off when needed......................there's no downside to it.........................except that farmers and bio refiners aren't set up for it now.
  21. From what I've read......................it's been 50/50 on that at best...................because of the added "oomff"; they use it.......and the potential of better mileage is negated!!
  22. From the source...........................https://cumminsengines.com/uploads/docs/cummins_secrets_of_better_fuel_economy.pdf
  23. My last tank of fuel...............the overhead read 25.1mpg .......................I hand calculated the mileage and it was 20.2mpg.
  24. Sure...............if'n I knew what it was!!!
