Never had factory amps as far as I know, bought with aftermarket kenwood head unit and speakers

Not a lot of distortion, just a cheap tinny sound and can't seem to adjust to my liking, if I turn it up to concert level it's not too bad but I don't want to listen it that loud.

By the way, concerning E.T.'s if they're out there, and seems they are, those little pricks need to stop playing games and cough up some technology, come on, throw us a bone!!

Maybe??, but I just don't see were they're going to come up with all that extra magical electricity?? Make more dams? Burn more coal? Nuke? Extraterrestrial's? Ask Texas how that wind worked out. And how are low income folks, myself included going to afford new electric cars, and believe me you don't want to buy a used one, ever price a new battery for one of those things? I attempted to upgrade mine a little a while ago and still not impressed. The kenwood deck was in when I bought last year along with 6x9 Kenwood's and factory rear speakers, it's plenty loud but just sounded tinny. I replaced front with some pyle's thinking it might help.. nope. Then I installed a blaupunkt 4 channel amp thinking those 6x9's needed more power, makes it louder but still tinny. Next I lined the front doors with some dynamat type stuff I got at home Depot, maybe helped a little? BTW, I don't have pillar speakers. Really starting to wonder if it's the head unit? As much as I try to adjust I just can't get any decent bass or "rich" sounding music, (not sure about the terminology?) especially at low volume. I think my Buick's factory radio sounds better. I'm thinking about replacing rear one's with some mid bass components? I'm not really interested in one of those subwoofer boxes that take up the whole rear floor. Very frustrating! I'm not really a audio fanatic, would just like a decent sounding stereo and don't want to spend a bunch. Not sure that's possible anymore? I remember as a kid in the '70s I had a better sounding 8 track deck and "power booster" for about $50 LOL!

Hey, just got a quick question about the quadzilla and emissions testing for anyone that might know, I'm sure it's been covered somewhere but?? Just got a emissions test notice in the mail, I live in the big city of Boise Id. were I guess they need all the extra revenue they can get! (At least it's not Cali. ....yet!) Anyhow, first year with the quad, is there anything special I need to do, or a particular setting to satisfy the test? Set to stock? Does it even matter? Do they even care it's on there? Just some questions I hadn't really considered till now. Thanks!

So if 22 is kinda high for cruise load can someone tell me if 27 is high for idling in gear?, (up to temp)

I usually drive on level 2-3 . I think 22 for load is about as good as it gets cruising, I usually see it bouncing from there clear up to close to 30

So the you can't change the load with quad, just adjust quad to load? It's hard to find a flat mile around here plus head winds and all lol! Here's a screenshot of mine going down the road, best I could tell was cruise state, ( not sure how to tell) cruise control on, steady as possible, easier said than done, when I see people talking about going in and out of cruise, that means changing rpm's and?? I've seen that, a little confusing, and this is not my daily driver, I've probably not gone through a tank of fuel all winter, I might drive it more if I could get more than 12- 14mpg

I think I ment to say load also, wanted to see the difference on those parameters. trying to get this suck a.. mpg thing figured out and want to see if quad is actually making a difference in load. Too bad a instant mpg guage couldn't have been built-in would make life so much easier.

Again, thanks I got it, it's just that toggling to zero when it was warmed up an having high idle turn on took me by surprise, I didn't know that was a thing, along with the check engine light that's still a mystery, they seem to be connected somehow. My delay was already set to 30sec. I wanted to run stock to see if my cruise timing was any different without quad, then this whole thing sent me into a tail spin.

I think I understand what you're saying, we can have high idle on demand whenever wanted, or not wanted in my case, did I miss that in "Instructions", or just a inside trick? I think that was the first time I actually ever toggled to zero? I guess the only other thing that threw me for a loop was when it threw that code the exact same time it went to zero/ high idle mode... Bazar! Thanks again!
