IAT and MAP sensor
I have been just using the odometer for mileage. It also has not been corrected for the 35in tires. How far off will my mileage be corrected? I know when my speedo says 60, I am really going about 68. I guess I didnt take this into account either. How would you correct the speedo for the larger tires? I will get a GPS on it soon though.

What fuel pressure do you run if you have a gauge?
Thanks. I should have looked harder :banghead: - - - Updated - - - So mike, you are just using that needle valve? does that take place of the snubber then?

IAT and MAP sensor
I will have to keep that in mind. I have been driving in a lot of bad weather lately and I usually do let it idle for about 5 minutes or so before I go anywhere. This is usally about 3 or 4 times a day so that would make 20 minutes of just idling. I am still going to try turning the comp off and see what happens. I remember in the summer when I started to use it, I did have to try harder to keep my mpgs up for some reason. I only made like 15.5 mpgs on stage 5. Thats why I went down to stage 3. I was on sub-level 3 both times.

IAT and MAP sensor
So with the 2.2k ohm resistor, I am still only seeing about 16mpgs or so. I could only make about 300 miles to a half tank. I am also running the comp at 3x3. Next tank I will try running it with the comp off maybe?

Blow by
I think the only way to do it on our cummins engines is to pull the injectors. Then you hook in the adapter and the gauge there. It is kinda the same concept as a gas engine. Someone else will probably be able to give you more insight but this is my understanding. I agree that your choice of oil is a bit to thin. It may start easier, but its not heavy enough for the diesel engine. In a gasser you would probably be ok...

What fuel pressure do you run if you have a gauge?
So i got an Isspro 30psi gauge. The one I got didnt come with any plumbing or anything to hook it up. Now how do i go about hooking it up? I have heard about using a snubber or an isolator but where does that get installed? Any info would be great. I just dont know what the best/easiest way to go about it would be. Thank you everyone!!!

squwishy clutch pedal
Awesome. Thanks for that write up. I got it all in and man what a difference!! Shifts like new. I recommend the valair setup to anyone doing it in the future. Went through DAP.

squwishy clutch pedal
I just purchased the valair HD hydros from DAP. My stock system has been slowly going out since I got the truck, but anyway... Does anyone have any tips for me before I install them today? I got the whole pre-bled system.

IAT and MAP sensor
My apologies for hijacking.... On one more quick side note, I am experimenting with some resistors now. So far I have only tried a 2.2k ohm 1/4 watt. I havent noticed to much of a difference in mileage yet but we shall see. I also got some 3.3k ohm resistors too. I know I am not set up for mileage with my injector/turbo and tire situation but I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I am very intrigued to see if something might work. I average 17-18 usually and have been averaging 16.5 lately. maybe I can break 18 again??

IAT and MAP sensor
All I'm doing is being experimental:) I like to try new things so thank you so much for all the help:) I'm very happy to be a part of this forum and work with everyone here. Thanks again

IAT and MAP sensor
I mean 140 would be about my high mark then. Did the math in my head but didn't type it lol. I'm curious and I would like to try this. Where would I get a resistor? Been a long time since I did anything with them.
-
IAT and MAP sensor
So I would want like a 107* resistor because that would be my high mark?
-
IAT and MAP sensor
Aw I see. That makes more sense. I think the hottest we get is around 105.
-
IAT and MAP sensor
Ok, now are all those temps created by different resistors? Which one should I get? I'm in central Washington so we have fairly cold winters.
-
IAT and MAP sensor
Hahaha ok. I see now. Where would one purchase a rheostat like the one you have and which one do I need?
-
IAT and MAP sensor
So with the timing set for warmer temps, is there any performance loss since there is still cooler air going into the engine? If not, why even bother putting an IAT sensor in?

IAT and MAP sensor
Hey mike, what does that rheostat do for your mpgs? How does it effect driveabiltity? Very noticeable differences? Sorry im off the OP, just really want to know...

What fuel pressure do you run if you have a gauge?
Awesome, thanks mike. The reason I was looking at glowshift is so I could ge a package deal and have all matching gauges. I will probably get the isspro one for now though.

What fuel pressure do you run if you have a gauge?
Ok. any suggestions on a brand? I will probably want a 0-30 psi gauge. How does everyone feel about a glowshift? Found some good deals from them.

What fuel pressure do you run if you have a gauge?
Ok cool. My truck came with the ddrp when I bought it. Another question. What brand of fuel pressure gauges do you recommend? I'm looking for something fairly cheap but accurate of course:)

What fuel pressure do you run if you have a gauge?
So just a quick question for anybody on this thread. Where did you all tap the fuel pressure gauge into? I dont have one yet:banghead:, but am looking into getting one very soon. Also, what is bad about the FASS DDRP pump? Im just curious....

IDLE UP
When my apps senser was going out on me, I did have some idle issues. It was usually only after I had cruised for more than 10 minutes or so, but the idle wouldnt come back down below 900-1000 rpms. You might reset the apps just to see if it helps at all.

Brutal MPG!
Ok. I have an exhaust brake so I was expecting them both to be dirty. The map was completely spotless. I think the IAT sensor had some oil on it because my turbo is leaking. Mike, had any ideas on why one is clean and the other is dirty?

Speaker replacement
What brand and model of speakers did you go with?

CB radio
I know law enforcement still has the cb channels but I don't know if they monitor them. There is an emergency channel and it is channel 9. My dad and all his friends are truckers and still live by the ol' cb radio so that's why I have one.
