4th gen Towing mirrors DONT work?!

So just got my mirrors. And to my surprise, they aren't even close. What did you guys do to make em work?

Did you get 4th gen mirrors that fit 4th gens or 4th gen mirrors that fit 2nd gens?

Never tried to get 4th gen stuff to work on my 2nd gen. If they are not made to fit a 2nd gen some rework is going to be involved.

Just 4th gen.

Yeah ya have to get the ones with the 2nd gen base, or do a lot of custom work. I got the old style with the new style lights and wired them up as marker lights, link to those. You can also get the new style with the corner light, link. Or if you want plug and play with the new style mirror you can get them without the corner light, link.

You also need to make sure you get backing plates sometimes they come with mirrors.

Yeah I sent them back. I got backing plates. So i still have those. Looks like I'll have two sets after I get my new pair

You'll be happy once you get the mirrors mounted. So much nicer!!
