I would look into a timbo apps. The grounds on these trucks are vary important.Did you look at the 6 grounds that come together in front of the battery drivers side? Look at the head light and go down from there. It is a bugger to get at mine was all rot.The factory spot welds this ground so if you put a wrench on the nut it may snap off.Thats what happened to me.I then bought a small battery ground from autozone and soldered them all together. As far as the cruise i think the column has a switch that goes bad maybe MM will chime in and will help more with this. What is the age of batterys and apps?

what year is your ctd? does the engine run when you crank it? i have been fighting problems like yours for months. mine turned out to be the ecm. more info on your truck would be helpful.

If you test the sensors and everything checks out it may be the ecm.I had 8 trouble codes and they were false because the sensors were all good.My buddy gave me his ecm and it ran fine.I had to get a ecm.Better make sure you need one because they are big bucks.Maybe a dealer reflash would fix it?

i ran diagnostics on my sensors as directed by All Data(this was before finding this site) and they all showed thay were bad, but when i did voltage checks on them they were all working as they should have. dually is right about the expense, check your sensors and be sure they are working as they should. if they are i would lean toward the ecm being bad. above all dont just go buy one hoping that wil fix your problems.

I have a pcm and a ecm wire harness laying around, if you need to see them grounds i can post up a picture. It is my old crusty choped up one.The ecm it self should be cleaned as far as the mounting points to the block to insure a good ground.About 8 inches from the ecm in the wire harness has a ground strap.iirc it is close to the starter.

ok i checked all grounds replaced batteries drove it twice and back to square one i guess. fuel pressure is good on the gauge but seems lacking when injector lines are cracked but im still pullin 0236 1475 0122 0577 so throw it at me im ready to make this thing into a flower pot or something

236 - Boost too high too long 1475 - Aux 5 Volt too high 122 - APPS sensor Low Volts 577 - ? (got to look in other books) Double check the +5V signal in the MAP sensor and look and see what the voltage really is... Check and see if something is shorted out...

Yeap it look like its heading that way... :spend: I really hate to suggest anything that mean spending big money but it looks like your out of options...

I call it a cheater box but the actual name I'm not sure of but it a box that allows you to hook up to the battery and supply power to the VP44 and be able to start the engine and idle it. There is also a switch for high idle and that it...

could i use the ecm out of a 01 ho in my 02 to try to eliminate that as my problem.

You could for testing reasons but I wouldn't for a permanent fix... It should work for just seeing if it will start and run but you might get some weird behavor and error codes.

just curious i figured out that one of my new batteries was no good only had 11.33 will this affect my 5 v input

It could... Creates a issues for that side... I would rather try all the little cheap things first before ever pointing the finder at things that are expense like ECM/PCM or VP44... So double check and check all the small cheap stuff before pointing the finger at bigger money...

Pulled the pump? Which one the VP44 or the lift pump? Hows the fuel pressure at the time?

the pressure to the pump was good but i had no pressure at the head fuel just dribbled out and very hard starting i believe this was due to letting the last lift pump go to long and not having a guage at that time so i pulled and replaced the vp and put a new air dog system on. the truck ran great in the garage with throttle response as soon as i got out of the garage dead pedal. threw 0215 0122 1475 and 0236. so i started at the map sensor 4.87v then on to the pcm got nothin then on to the pdc more than100 ohms so im kinda thinkin ecm.

P0215 - VP44 failure - http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/2561-P0215-Fuel-Injection-Pump-Control-Circuit P0122 - APPS Sensor - http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/2556-P0122-Accelerator-Position-Sensor-(APPS)-Signal-Voltage-Too-Low P1475 - +5 Volts too high - http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/2623-P1475-Aux-5-Volt-Supply-Voltage-High P0236 - Map sensors too high too long - http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/2570-P0236-Map-Sensor-Too-High-Too-Long Well just looking at the codes P0215 requires a new injection pump. I'm going to assume the P0236 code is caused from the P1475 code that might just be a ECM problem. P0122 might be just a wore out APPS sensor but I would deal with the P1475 first.
