We took a trip out to Colorado for Jenn's Granddads funeral and ended up driving. Encountered a spike in a field and ended up having to use the spare. I was already planning on getting some new tires as I doubt the stock firestones will be any good in the winter. I noted these on craigslist in colorado springs and asked a friend to go pick them up for me. I am going to Get some Cooper AT3 XLT's put on next week. Hopefully I can find another semi worn firestone to throw on the stock rims as a backup, but I am excited to see these on the truck. I will update with pictures next week.

Hi, I have a 2nd Generation Truck but “possibly” looking for a second truck for the wife. Ran into a man today who I have not seen in a while. He bought a truck BEFORE getting a huge Toy Hauler and has decided he now needs a Dually. I rented a 2016 a couple of years ago for trip to Wyoming. Anyone own own one of these? And what are the pro and cons please. Thanks Leaky

We're looking at upgrading to a 2011 Ram 3500 Mega Cab to pull our 5th wheel and provide more comfort for our family of 5 (5 including the dog). We found a decent deal with a private seller. The truck has been parked for the last 2 years. The bought a summer home and have abandoned camping. The owner said he did start it on occasion. The truck has 63,000 miles. My question is, is there anything to be leery about, or to expect to replace. I've looked the truck over well, compared to the beat junk on most used lots, it's really clean. I am already planning for all new tires and batteries. It did start without issue when I looked at it, but It rolled over just a bit sl…

So I recently bought a 2011 C&C truck not knowing that there was quite a bit different between a C&C and a normal 3500. I knew they had things such as longer frames and the aux switches and stuff but I wasn't aware they are actually detuned compared to the normal trucks along with a different transmission, the Aisin 68rc. Does anyone know anything about these transmissions? Can you tune them like a 68rfe or are the more like the 69 and tune themselves? Can they hold any power, as I am getting EFI live (not very hot of course just to wake it up from its stock 305hp) and don't want to blow it up the first week. What are the weaknesses? The in…

Thanks to chknkatsu over on CumminsForum for this one. Took me a long to figure out how i wanted to do this without interfering with the everyday use of the truck, that meant not eliminating the spare or taking up bed space. I also wanted two compressors for quick recovery and redundancy in the case of one of the compressors going bad. I also wanted to make sure all the wiring terminations and relays were easily accessible. I sized the wires accordingly to reduce voltage drop. making a relay/fuse board. It was difficult trying to find a good spot for the relays and fuse that was accessible so i decided to mount it on the fuse box cover with rubb…

Hello everyone,, So I'm in the market for a new truck and my question is that my neighbor runs a 2011 Cummins with around 200k miles BUT he takes very very good care of his truck (it is his office so I don't blame him) and he is willing to sell it too me for a decent price around $23k I also found a 2012 6.7 powerstroke with 60k miles and it's priced at 33k. I'm just not sure which truck is going to be the most reliable. I do tow a large boat for half the year and I have a 25' flatdeck trailer that I don't haul as much any more but still use occasionally. What would you guys go with??

I am currently in the market for my first diesel. I have been trying to give the different brands a fair chance since I know nothing about them (current ride is a Toyota Tundra). I was able to spend a weekend driving a 2015 Ford 6.7 PS, while I liked it I was completely blown away. I am going to be test driving a ram 2500 this coming weekend. I love the Ram styling and interior (Laramie) however every person I know or have talk to says that Ram quality is complete garbage. They all say the engine is great but any other component is garbage. I was wondering how you guys felt about the quality of your truck? How would you compare it to Toyota, Ford, Chevy? I reali…

So I just bit the bullet and bought my wife a 2011 3500 laramie crew cab shortbed 4x4 It is bone stock with 71k miles. I want to do the DPF and egr deletes ASAP. There is so much out there for these I am overwhelmed. I want tuning that includes trans tuning for longevity. I do not want to turn up the power. What are my options?

Iam looking for a few connector locations, first off ground g108, and connectors c130, and c111. Iam trying to figure out why my brake light and traction control light com on intermittently and I've narrowed it down to the brake fluid level sensor wiring. Also fuel gauge doesn’t work accurately but i was moving wires around down by the TIPM and it started working for a day but now i cant get it to work again. This is on a 2012 3500 6.7 thanks

Last year the boss bought two '13 Dodge cab and chassis trucks. I ended up with one of them and the boss has the other. My truck has been trouble free so far, but his has been to the dealership twice so far for def problems. Both times it has been due to the wiring harness being ripped out, https://speedtest.vet/ https://vidmate.bid/ if you see the country we drive in you would understand. Is there any fix to the def problem on a 2013 truck? They are both stock, base models, 4X4, manual trans, even hand crank windows. He will not want to add power, he just wants to not go into limp mode 100 miles from town. Other than stop being so abusive to the truck, any adv…

Hello, my truck runs good until I get down around 1/2 tank of fuel and then it will start bogging down or cutting out or acting like it's running out of fuel. Sometimes it will die as you might be rolling up to a red light and it is hard to start but will eventually start. I have changed both fuel filters and inspected what I could for water in the fuel and havent found anything out of ordinary. Is there anybody here that is familiar with this problem. I heard, just heard that it maybe the in tank pump or something to do with the draw straws on the pump being a bad design. Any help would be appreciated.

Need info on changing oil in a 2010 6.7. I.e., where is the filter located, any special tools required, and is it messy?Mohok https://speedtest.vet/ https://vidmate.bid/

Just kind of wondering what red light or too low of fuel pressure would be for 6.7. I know factory specs is 11.5 and I'm normally about ten. But I know 3rd gen I believe that 10 psi is way too low. I think they have the VP pump, unsure.https://19216801.onl/[/color] https://routerlogin.uno/ https://192168ll.link/

Well I broke down and ordered a replacement fuel tank for my truck. I got a decent price with free shipping and military discount.. but it's still OUCH. Thank you tax return. I didn't think that 3 fewer gallons would be noticeable, but let me tell you that it really is! I'm not quite sure what Ram was thinking here.. but I gather it's fixed for 2020 with an optional 50 gallon OEM tank. Towing last summer I got ±.5 mpgs as my 05 did on the same roads/speeds but found myself needing to get fuel in remote towns to make it between big towns...inconvenient and got me thinking about a larger tank. Hard to justify the cost just for this thou and it take…

Huge Thanks to Gsbrockman on CumminsForum for this one. My '14 RAM 3500 Crew Cab Tradesman 4x4 is at 33,445 miles and 621 drive hours as of today. The Aisin AS69RC requires a drain & fill at 30,000 miles. At 60,000 miles, the pan is dropped, the sump filter is replaced, and the fluid is replaced. At 90,000 miles, another drain & fill is performed. At 120,000 miles, the pan is dropped, the sump filter is replaced, and the fluid is replaced.....you get the idea on the future service intervals. What you'll need : Large drainpan. If you change your own oil on your CTD, your engine oil drain pan will work great. 19 mm six point socket & 3/8" …

Huge Thanks to Loki223 over on CumminsForum for this one. You will need The wiring harness from Dudes Diesel Performance $95 but worth it to not hack up your trucks harness. https://dudesdieselperformance.com/i-30533376-dudes-diesel-performance-tow-mirror-light-harness-13-18-ram-1500-2500-3500.html Alright, so i know many of you have seen the tow mirror running lights done before, and this solution is specific to the 13-18 trucks. On the old way of doing this, you must run some wires inside the cab and through the doors which is a royal PITA to get into the doors. And this must be done in both doors, plus there is cutting and splicing factory wires, whic…

Thanks to Loki223 over on Cumminsforum for this one. Step one, remove the door panel. Carefully pry off the upper sail panel, and remove the fasteners holding the door panel on The edge fasteners are a T-20 Torx Bit head, sometimes you might need to use a pick to apply pressure to the screw to get it to come out. Once the screw is removed, remove the push in fastener, and push the screw slightly into it for reassembly. These are really fast to put back in, place the plastic piece back into the hole, and then simply push in the screw for reassembly. For removing the plastic insert, i used my 90 degree pick, it slips …
