My truck was running great then all at once stated to miss/loss of power. Pulled into a fuel stop found oil everywhere(gasket on lifter/pushrod cover spewing oil)have determined these were not related. Would 1689 pop up because of ECM being unplugged? Think I have a bad injector,so going to take them into get tested.

I had an issue where my truck wouldn't move when put into gear until it warmed up. Someone here said it was a seal or pump. Well, I had it rebuilt and got a good deal ($850) from an in-law. After a couple of weeks, the problem is back. I usually warm up the engine so it hasn't bothered me especially since it works fine once warm. The question is whether or not it will damage the transmission as long as I warm it up? I'm reluctant to take it back since I got such a good deal.

Would you just recommend P pumping it? I ask because it seems EPA is putting the clamps on us older truck owners withoutthe mileage killer smog devices. Any thoughtsAre there any other options?

after a long and arduous battle, my vp44 has been replaced and seems to be running like a top....good fuel pressure and such....but after letting it sit for about a month, I now have to crank it pretty hard to get it to start, almost feels like it has air in the lines however I have torqued, checked and re-re-double-quadruple-checked all the lines and they are all holding fuel....?? my second question, just after I replaced my vp the first time with a used pump, that failed shortly there after, my 47re started having issues shifting out of first!! I thought it may have been a clog in the valve body, it sat for a while, but a good ****** of the valve body with brake clean …

Ok ive go this new industrial injection turbo silver bullet 66.. I got edge juice hot unlock and ddp 250 hp injectors.. Now wastegate it set at 50 psi. When im towing in 5th gear turbo cuts out sounds like it when you got it spooled high and just let off throttle real quick makes that bark noise. Well it does this while im towing for no reason im trying to pull a hill and it hit bout 25-30psi and it keeps cutting out makes it imposible to pull... Now it only does it in 5th under a big load i can drop to 4th get rpms up to 2500 and it still sceems to cut out a little not as bad as 5th but i can actually get to 40psi in 4th.. Now is this a turbo problem or a fuel problem I…

I will be installing the new AD 100 soon and was wondering what everyone else does with the stock filter housing? I thought I read that some have removed it but now I can't find the info again. I plan on running the 1/2" line right to the VP with a tee for the pressure gauge unless there is a better way to do it.

Okay, so I got geared up with some extra tools to do my injectors. Got an evercraft crofoot set from napa for $11! They looks like some good tools. Then I got myself a 1/2" to 3/8"s adapter for my torque wrench. I did get an inch pound torque wrench, but it was useless to have. It went from 120in/lbs to 960in/lbs. My 1/2" goes from 10ft/lbs to 150ft/lbs. Since the crossover tubes and lines hooking to it are 28ft/lbs, can I get away with doing 10ft/lbs on the injector clamp bolt? Or maybe just set it at 10ft/lbs and then stop a little before it clicks? Now, I still need to get o-rings for the crossover tubes, but I was wondering what you guys suggest. I know I ha…

so acouple years ago i was traveling back from a wild weekend in riggins and hit a rock with my rear end. checked everything out underneath and it all looked ok till the next morning. there was a substantial puddle underneath. i replaced seal after seal where the driveline hooks up and to this day it continues to leak. so the question is, is there anyway i could have tweaked the rearend enough to make that seal keep blowing out and is there anyway to find out or measure if it did move?? any help thanks

So my pressures are 16-17 idle, 13-14 wot, works great while im on the road but when the truck sits it loses all fuel pressure.every time i before i start it, the fp gauge usually reads 0, 1, or 2 but it starts fine and the fp jumps right back up. bumping the key will get 17 psi for those 25 seconds, then it'll drop back to 0. should i be checking something out or am i worrying over nothin

Well to start my story couple days ago I did a 2nd gear launch must of ran to many psi boost and floated a valve on intake number one.. After pulling valve cover lookin for a bent push rod or bent valve found out it just pulled the rocker bolt right out of the head.. We inspected it and found out there were quite a few more threads left just needed a longer bolt so that fixed my valve problem but I notice 2 days later a slight ticking noise sounds like it coming from same area.. Now im led to think maby I got a lifter going out but thought id ask here see what you guys think.. Should of put the 110lb valve springs in long time ago now I am kickin myself.. Any help would b…

Hello all, I believe I have a bad connector ring O-ring on injector #1. I can see it weeping. I loosened the fuel line and tried to see if seated correctly, that looked to be good. That is why I'm suspecting the bad o-ring. Seems like a easy fix. Do I really need that tool from Snap-on to pull tube out? Also if anybody has part number for them, from Cummins or the dealership. I would appreciate the info. Thanks,John

Hey boys and girls - nothing important but could use some opinions. My truck came with stacks which I have replaced with simple 4" kit.Now I want to sell the stacks but don't know what to ask for $$. It is not a typical stack kit with Y pipe. Previous owner made his own piping for in the bed and attached the stacks to it. The homemade piece has a pipe that goes down through the bed like a typical kit. Pics of stacks are attached. The buyer will have to purchase piping from the downpipe to the pipe coming out of the bed, but I'm including in the sale, the diamond plate protection set up including all rails and hardware to attach.I was going to ask $350 for it all (most …

Hey guys! I was just throwing this out there for anyone to make a comment on their preference.I have been looking at replacing both batteries and am thinking between interstate and optima. They are both 30 month free replacement batteries. Optima seems cool because of regular battery with abit of deep cycle so you can use it without engine and not have to worry about jump starting or trickle charging. Interstate I have heard is good also but where I work we have had issues with them from time to time. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

I am finally getting around to doing the relay fix for my 98.5 dodge. Don't have trouble in the winter but do in the summer. In the center under the hood in a loom of wires in front of the firewall, is the hot wire going to the lift pump in these. If so it isn't yellow/white. I'm trying to find an easy place to cut it to run the wires to the relay. I can't get my fat arms and fingers to work right at the lift pump. I am still running the stock type pump, the wires at the pump are way to short. Thanks

I have a raptor 150 it just stopped working. My question is can you use the the raptor fuel line on the stock fuel pump? All my stock lines are there and capped but I lost my blue thing that connects the stock fuel line to the tank and I don't really want to drop my fuel tank in the parking lot it snowing and cold. I have changed the relay and this morning I'm going to check for power and all connections thanks in advance Jon

Hello All I have a Scangauge. I am wondering how accurate the boost reading is compared to a mechanical gauge. .....edit.... Ok, I just had another thought......So let me backtrack a bit.....I just bought a PowerPuck and an Quadzilla boost fooler (it plugs inline with the MAP sensor). I also just made a adjustable boost elbow and I do NOT have a mechanical boost gauge. At this point I have been watching my boost pressure via my ScanGauge. As my truck is unmodified the need to watch it at this point is for curiosity and MPG reasons only. I am planning on installing the newer goods today/this weekend, but I am now wondering if the Quadzilla boost fooler will alter my Sc…
