  3. History of the truck. Truck was purchased in 2002 with 43K miles. Engine and transmission were stock except for a K&N drop in air filter. Early 2003 installed a PowerMax programmer from TST which displays boost, transmission temp, and EGT. Late 2003 installed a PacBrake, TripleLoc (three clutch disk) torque converter, and HP valve body from TST. 2007 spring had check engine light and intermittent hard starting local diesel shop diagnosed it as a fault between primary and secondary computer and cleared the code (don’t know what the code was). They checked my fuel pressure which was around 10 at idle and much less under static 2400 rpm thro…

Anyone know where I can get a 2002 Dodge Ram Truck Repair Manual for the vehicle in the sig? I need the original Dodge manual since I am looking at wiring. The CHEAPER the better!I have the 2001 manual from our "Sister Site" but the wiring and other things ARE different. e.g., I do not have a CAD, 4WD wiring is different, etc. Thanks!

Just changed the fluid in the Transfer Case in sig below and went for a drive of about 50 min. - 50% at ~60mph and the rest stop and go at 45mph. The transfer case was hot - just a little too hot to keep your hand on it but not as hot as the auto trans pan. Is this about right? I thought the Transfer Case would be cooler since it is was in 2H and not actually being driven (as in 4L or 4H) - although it is a live axle!? Did another drive on the Interstate for ~ 1 hour. Transfer case was too hot to keep hand on and was hotter that the trans pan!Is any of this normal? I do REALLY want to know!?

Does anybody know where i can get a fuel return line, other than Dodge or Cummins?? Also the "T", Fuel drain manifold? Also does anyone know if there is a check valve in the banjo fitting in the return line to the head?

I have a 2000 CTD 2WD and have had problems with the pressure line leading from the trans to the rt side of the motor, to what seems like a water to oil heat exchanger, the lines then go to the cooler and back to the trans. The problem is at the flange of the line where it attaches to the "exchanger" fitting. I have had 2 of these lines crack in the same place. Has anyone else experienced this and how did you fix it permanently?

Hey Everyone, I noticed reciently that my lift pump is not coming on before I start my truck. I turn the key to the on position and no pressure from the lift pump. When I do start the truck my fuel pressure is 13-15psi drops to about 9-11psi wot. I know it isnt normal for it to do this, could it be a loose connection or you think it is the lift pump? Its a stock lift pump from Cummins Dealer I put it on about 6months ago. Thanks Corey

I dont know but I may have found something. I was pulling starter to clean ground wire on block when I noticed the small ground wire on starter was lose, so I went to tighten it and the groment was lose also so I said I will take it apart and tighten it, they usually have two nuts one on the inside. Well not this one, the only thing that keeps it from turning when you tighten it is the copper wires inside housing. So when I put new starter on I my have broke the wires inside starter or made a bad conection. So here is the million dollar question if the ground wires inside starter are loose or making bad conection will it cause the eng. to die for a split second then cont…

Is there any harm in fueling "up the spout"... above the other opening inside the filler neck? Occasionally, I have done this when I got a good price & did not want to give the highway bandits any more than I had to. If this is not a good idea, I'll not do this again. A comment on another thread got me thinking...Russ

  18. Finally got my FP gauge installed correctly. Had been using the isolator but I could never get it to work right or for very long. Now I am direct to the gauge. 18.5 @ idle 16 @ wot. Stupid questions. If I start to notice a drop in pressure do you just pull over and shut it down? I think I read it takes 14 to open the overflow on the IP to cool the IP. So less than 14 you pull over and shut it down ? I know that sounds dumb but now that I have the FP just want to know what it is trying to tell me to do. If your LP went out completely the reading would be 0 correct ? You shouldn't be getting a reading from the IP sucking the fuel correct ? Thanks Rob

I could really use some help. Back on 3-11-10. My friends truck a 2002 Dodge 2500 HO turbo diesel 2wd completely stock took a dump. Would start but under acceleration it would just dead pedal. pulled him home and the temp gauge was bouncing all over the place and the cruise light would blink on and off. He thought it was the IP and LP so he ordered the IP and a Fass DDRP LP. We installed it and it made no difference at all. I know we should have pulled the codes first but we didn't:banghead:. So we pulled the codesPCU p0122, p0500, p1693.ECU p0121, p0230, p1689, p0217, p1488, p0575, p0562, po237 I did some searching and found a post by mopar on 5-29-2009 that said Quote:P…
