Ok so I replaced my contacts in my starter a week ago when my truck wouldn't start that fixed that issue! Now tonight I went out to start it and I noticed that mt lift pump ran for only 3 to 5 seconds and then I waited for the to go out and it just cranks, and I get no codes. So I turned the key to the "off" position and then turned the key to the "on" position and this time the lift pump ran like it's supposed to for about 20 to 25 seconds, and the came back on and I waited for it to go out and tryed it again still just cranks with no codes. Now iv'e only had the truck a year, and replaced the fuel filter twice and each time I bumped it like required but I had to crack…

So on a 150 mile round trip with my family at about 40 mile's in my Check Gage light came on and i seen the Volt Gauge go from 14 to 0. We were unable to turn around due to Family health reason's but we did pull over and check the Belt, pop the belt loose, and checked the alt bearing. Checked the terminals all good so we we had to drive the remainer of the trip with no trouble batterie's stayed fully charged/Sparked when replaceing the terminal's. So today i removed and recleaned the terminal's sanded all the grd's i could reach, replaced all the fitting's on the wire end's, removed the alt had it tested at 2 store's it checked out good had the batteries tested as well al…

Since a water pump failure the pad/insulator got soaked and sagged. Pulled away from the buttons or tabs. Anyone experience replacing it? Looks like I can get a new one for about $80. Wondering about larger tabs to keep it up better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Ok gentleman for those of you with much more experience than me I am going to be getting a Raptor FRRP 100 shortly. Now according to the installation instructions your supposed to put it in the stock location. However I keep reading about other Cummins owners putting it as close to the fuel take as possible and mounting it to the frame. So my question is should I go by the instructions and mount that bad boy in the stock location? Or should I mount it on the frame? And if so on the frame why? Thanks in advance for all that chime in with there knowledge and experience!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am getting my brake and ABS lights on intermittently. They come on for a while and go of. I am thinking wheel speed sensor but sometimes the lights come on at startup. This would indicate a hard code and usually an ABS unit problem. My Snap-On brick will not read the ABS codes from the ALDL connector. Any thoughts?

Hi Guys,This started about a week ago i was driving downt he road when i hit a significant bump. Immediately my truck started to shake, up and down, like it was bouncing down the road. I can to a stop and check out everything, i didnt see anything out of the ordinary so i went on my way. When i started rolling again the shake was gone. The episodes have been becoming more frequent it happened 2 today in a 10 mile drive. Has anyone one see this or ran into this? i took it to the shop today and they told me everything seemed tight. But i know something is seriously wrong.

Hey guys, Ive got a question about my 01 dodge concerning my heater. I live in Big Piney Wyoming (Icebox of the nation) no kidding, we have the coldest on average temps anywhere in the US. We see sub sub zero temps here and while traveling for work as a pipeliner I get into N. Dakota as well. My 01 is probably like everyone elses, it does not like to warm up in these extreme conditions. Everything works fine, thermostat, blend door, core ect. and I also use a winter front. Have any of you used a 12v heater or another alternative to help you stay warm in your 2nd gen? Any ideas. My heated seats help lol but while my backside is warm my hands are freezing lol. I cant drive …

I got the truck inspected last week. On Sunday, I replaced the track bar, due to a completely worn out TRE.This morning, I had it aligned. I requested that they max out the caster (4.0+). The tech said he would, and he tried. But, there's an issue with worn out bushings and eccentric bolts in the LCAs. The max he could get was ~ +3.0. I'll attach a pic of the print-out, shortly, as I forgot it in the truck. So I see where various places offer bushings, but I cannot find where to get replacement eccentric bolts, other than the dealer. Anyone have any suggestions as to how best to go about this, and options on the bolts? Should I press out/replace the bushings, or …

Someone ought to know on here...My torque wrench goes only up to 150ft. lbs. I need to attain 180ft. lbs. I've thought if I could do the math right, I could just add another so many inches to the wrench to attain the proper leverage to get that weight.Anyone know if I can do this with the torque wrench? Yea, I know where I can get the proper wrench that goes to 250ft. lbs. but its also $100 that I do not have at the moment.

:banghead: Dangit!Alright, so in my break caliper thread, I posted up some stuff, but no one replied. So in continuation from it, but a separate issue, I was trying to figure out what was going on with the hub, rotor, etc. I took the tire off and spun the rotor. The rotor did not look warped at all and no excessive wear. As I spun it though, I noticed something. I spun the rotor slowly and when you get to a point, there is resistance. A feeling as though it almost is a warped rotor. But sighting down it, its straight. So, I thought, maybe a u-joint? I took a pry bar and the joint did not have any slop. But as I spin the rotor, I did not recall hearing the noise I heard befo…

I am losing brake fluid on my 99 Ram 3500 Dually and I noticed there is brake fluid running down the side of the fuel tank. Is there a hard line in the frame rail there? Do I have to drop the tank to fix it? Can it be routed a different way? The tank is plum full, so I hope I don't have to drop it!

Alright, just recently got back from hunting and I did not notice anything until I got about an hour or so away from home. When I go to brake, the truck wants to pull hard to the right. I got to literally turn the wheel about a 1/4 turn to the left to keep straight.I'm wondering if maybe it is instead the left front caliper not grabbing?I've rebuilt the front calipers about 2 years ago, did new pads and rotors as well...

The backup lights on my 2nd gen truck don't work.So naturally I thought the bulbs were burned out. When I checked I found both bulbs were good.I am guessing that there must be a backup light switch some where in or on the auto tranny. When I tried to look up backup light switches at Geno's or Rock AutoI can find switches for the manual trans but not the auto.Maybe the switch is mounted internally in the trans????Anyone know where this switch is and if it is replaceable without pulling the trans apart?Should I be looking for some other possible culprit for my backup light problem?

Well the last two trips I med to the mid west(Iowa and Indiana)have taken a toll on my bed. A woman hit me in Iowa and I, in a moment of brilliance, hit the passenger side with the forks on the lift. they did not penetrate, but sure did leave a couple of good marks. The rear bumper has had it share of a rough life on the drivers side and is bent up pretty good. Backed into a tree with the tailgate down once and bent the bed along with the tailgate. I did mange to find a good tailgate in Iowa for $120. Thats when I notice the bed was bent, but did mange to get that on and looking good. So with all of that and 12 years of wear and tear I thought I could find me a bumper and…

Had the truck since January, been using Valvoline 15w-40 dino since, and the oil pan leaks and leaves a couple drops in the driveway everyday, no big deal. Did an oil change in prep for cold weather last week, used Rotella 5w-40 synthetic, and now she leaves puddles. Once winter sets in I plug the truck in at night anyways, so should I switch back to dino or wait it out till I replace the oil pan gasket (unkown date)...I'm dreading pulling the motor mounts and what not.

Hello all. So it's soon time for state inspection and like last year my abs and brake light come on just in time to give me something else to worry about. Last time they went out and have not come back on till now. What's different is I don't have the CLUNK when I turn the key to pre heat position. That clunk is the ABS pump right? Would a malfunctioning speed sensor cause it not to clunk or do I have another problem? I read the diagnostic article but it didn't address it. Also, I have contemplated just pulling the fuses and bulbs and running without ABS since I don't like it anyway. I read some guy did this and some time later the brakes locked up going down the road. I …
