Does anyone have any idea why I'm able to get on this site off wifi, but all of a sudden on wifi it won't load? I have been on here on wifi, but since last Friday the site wouldn't load. I thought it was a site issue, but after it went so long, I asked someone and they said they had no problems. That's when I had the idea of getting off wifi and the site loaded. Any ideas?

Never realized how good well seasoned oak firewood is. I put in two small pieces of heavy dense oak and they burned on slow for almost 8 hours. Outside temps are were in the mid 30's. I'm talking small pieces. I scored because I got a cord of old oak firewood for 140.00, had been seasoning for a very very long time. The seller never needed it and because it's so well seasoned I can damper down the intake very low and still not get creosote build up. I never experienced using such old seasoned hardwood like that. Only bad thing was much it was cut too long, so had to cut 4 inches off the ends to fit in the stove so the two pieces were about that size together …

I have to get outside today and put the back blade on the tractor for any bigger snow. Also have to get the old wheel horse out of the pole barn for the snowblower. That works well as long as you don't overload it. Need to get some weight in the truck bed as well. It's hard to weigh down a 1 ton dually for winter driving. I have several RR ties, I'm going to put 1 layer of them between the wheel wells to see how many fit.im thinking 4-5, they're 8 footers so they weigh in around 150lbs or so a piece. That'll be 600-750lbs, hopefully that will be enough. If not, I'll dump snow on top if them. Lol Another thing on the list will be to bring out my heavy extensio…

Well its been a crazy December for me. @Honey Badger and I made a trip over to Everett WA to go get her youngest son Jake. Jake wanted to move back to Idaho to be with his family. That trip was crazy getting over Snoqualmie Pass. Speed limit was set for 45 MPH I was doing between 45 to 50 MPH knowing what Katie told me of the road conditions. Sadly enough we watched a Jeep pass me at about 60 to 65 MPH rounded a corner and disappeared. I rounded the corner and Beast started to yaw a bit as I hit the pack snow floor. Looked to my right and there was that Jeep about 20 to 25 foot up the embankment stuck. Made it to Everett WA and got a motel room. Got up the next morning an…

Is everyone ready? Out west where we do not get so cold due to influence from the Pacific Ocean, we are supposed to get some snow with a bigger threat of an ice storm. Two years ago we had one knocked out the power for ten days. This time right around Christmas is when they saying it will show, I have two generators. I need to fill used laundry soap bottles with water, fill up the RV and de winterize and get more fuel for the generators, I'll be set. You folks in the Midwest, upper plains supposed to get hammered as well as the East coast.

Just have to brag on Mike. Many don't realize just what kind of human being he is. We were just in Winco doing some shopping. We were waiting in line to check out when this little old lady was trying to pay for her groceries...her card was not working...she was almost in tears. Mike paid for it, $269 worth. He simply told her Merry Christmas. The woman was in tears....he is such a kind heart. He struggles to make his own bills every month, and still did this. I'm in tears writing this...

So to condense this, my oldest daughter and her boyfriend had one of their cars breakdown on them. A Honda pilot, supposedly had a bad transmission. I couldn't get there to look at it before the BF made the decision to sell the car leaving them with only one. It's getting cold, they both work and have 2 kids in the home as well. My daughter was stressed about how they're going to make this work. I immediately jumped online and found them a 2007 dodge grand caravan with reasonable miles, nice interior but a had a little rust. Went to check it out and ended up bringing it home for her. We invited them over Thursday evening for dinner and suprized her with it. …

Hey gang, Time to put your little 2WD cars and get your 4WD trucks out. Already just had a 2 car slide off just south of home. Then everyone is driving super slow. Huge pile up of traffic and slow vehicles are not pulling off. Hate to admit but had to pass 5 vehicles traveling 30 MPH in less than a inch of snow. Kept trucking along at 45 to 55 MPH.

Some things to look at about Biden's green new deal. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRCd7HXD/ https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRCdtARq/ https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRCdpxXu/ https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRCdcv1X/ So far there is bigger issues with the green new deal. So let's look how politicians travel by air and nothing said about jet pollution. Let's start with a look at the most famous of jets, the Boeing 747. The Boeing website states that this model, with a gas tank capacity of 63,500 gallons, may burn five gallons of jet fuel per mile of flight. A 4,000-mile flight, then, requires 20,000 gallons of fuel. Sep 2…

I just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I'm sure most of us have some sort of plans to be with friends and family tomorrow so I thought I'd put this up this evening. We (the wife and I ) will be hosting dinner for my family on Saturday, tomorrow will be spent with her family. This way there is no rush, we get as much time at each as we would like. This year we are kind of cheating. To save the wife from being stuck in the kitchen the entire time we decided to try a Thanksgiving feast from Bob Evans. It includes turkey breast, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, buttered corn, cranberry sauce, rolls, pumpkin bread, p…

Can you guys find time to have coffee and post what's going on?! I am certain many of us would like to hear. It's been so slow around here it's like the forum for Hermits living in cave. I just got done putting on a new roof on my house, building a 100 K deck and another job building a new stairway down to a built in pool. In between I went on a camping trip to meet IBMobile and Tractorman. Had a good time except for the dumb guy who shot 5/6 rounds in the campground and killed a Cub and may have injured the mother at 12:20 am. I've been trying to find a news article on that cause the guy turned himself in but, lied about the details of the killing. …

Our house has an old Heatilator metal liner fireplace which is piped into a Cinder Block with Clay Flue chimney. It burns through wood like it is going out of style so I would like to get something more modern in with a bit longer burntime. I can't do an insert replacement as the heatilator front opening for the firebox is 20" tall and all of them I can find at 22" required to fit. I was looking at this from Menards. USA made and heats 1800 sq/ft which our heated area is ~900 sq/ft It is 27" deep and 28" wide and 31" tall https://www.menards.com/main/heating-cooling/fireplaces-stoves/wood-stoves/pleasant-hearth-wood-stove-1-800-sq-ft-with-var…

According to a post from a TDR member GAmes, this obituary was printed in the London Times. It seems there are many truths here. I thought I would pass it along. Enjoy, - John Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: - Knowing when to come in out of the rain; - Why the early bird gets the worm; - Life isn't always fair; - And maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (…

Props to @Mopar1973Man, I like the new theme on the site, digging the new colors too! I find it easier to read and like some of the new features as well. Has anyone noticed the spider web in the top left? Kinda cool for the season! Great job! I'm sure Mike will be along and explain in more detail what the new features are. So far I'm impressed.
