  1. Ok, first of all, I hope everyone who presses the age of 50 doesn't become the forgetful Frank I've apparently become. Turns out, I've been driving for over 3 years with no OL. I've been all over the Midwest, out west to California to pick up my son after retiring from USMC.... but today, 30 miles from any town, and 1.3 miles from my ranch, State Patrol decided I was pulling my trailer too fast. After digging around for half an hour to 'find' an OP, he beat me to it. NO OPERATOR"S LICENSE. came the reply from headquarters. Luckily, my son happened to be along, otherwise he was going to have the who…

Well hello all. I am having a hard time finding a fuel tank selector valve for a project I am working on. The particular truck involved is a 1972 GMC 2500. The old valve is cracked and leaking and we want to upgrade it to an electric valve if possible anyway. Here is the catch.... This truck has 3 tanks. The stock tank behind the seat, and one saddle tank on each side of the bed. I cannot seem to find anyone who makes such a thing!! I have tried all my suppliers at work (I.E. airtex, carter, spectra, velvac, dorman etc.). The old valve is just a mechanical switch on the floor and I cant even find that set up anymore. The saddle tanks are aftermarket but my dad and bro dec…

Has anyone rebuilt a Holly Black, (Blue or Red) fuel pump. Is it had to do, were to get parts, is it worth it. I was looking at a Big End Black, (I think that's what it's called) for $91 shipped to my door. Made by Holly, looks the same as a Holly Black with the same spec. Any advise?

So, after watching a little bit of the Syria rebellion, I cannot help but notice how every sentence contains ALLAH ACKBAR! Gets annoying... so for a little comic relief, here it is: Satire much?

Well tonight is my Christmas party for the Fire Dept. Snow blowing and drifting all over the highway between home and Riggins, ID. Buddy Kelly informed me that north of Grangeville, ID has had at least 7 slide off vehicle accidents so far. I've got video of the trip to town and post it later when I get home. But at the moment I'm safe and sound in Riggins Idaho. Anyone out and about in Idaho take it slow and easy and be safe. http://511.idaho.gov/ White Bird grade Smokey Boulder

A friend rescued me a while back with a jump starter & I decided that I ought to own my own... Sure, probably start more gassers than diesel BUT worst case would be one of these stone cold diesels. So I'm looking for recommendations from those who own them. What to buy, what to avoid? Those who have them... do you carry in a vehicle or store them in a shop or central location? Thanks!

Source: http://www.prisonplanet.com/eyewitness-to-hitler-warns-keep-your-guns-and-buy-more-guns.html FELLA'S! Call me a whacko, nut-job, whatever, I'll be anything you want me to be. I'll do it to my last dying breathe! Pause here, for a moment, and REALLY let this sink in for all of us! Think about how relevant this is to our times! If you agree, we need to be doing better at preparing. Is this something that we can honestly say we will be victorious over? This is not like our founding fathers' time...

After several years of wanting to go this route I finally pulled the trigger. On a normal camping trip I am between 5800-6500 on the rear axle, generally at 6000 with careful loading. Since I have 6390 lbs worth of tire I have been wanting more "buffer" room, short of a few tires there are really few options for more than 3195 lbs/tire in 17".Additionally LT tires are too soft, and tire life was dismal at best with how/where I use my truck, mainly where... lots of dirt and towing on dirt. I really don't get more than 25K useful miles out of a set of tires. This is why I started researching 19.5s a few years back. They are plenty strong, the wheels are strong and the rubber …

Wife went to put my truck back... she slammed the door. Next thing she knows the power seat has gone crazy & run her to the roof! HA! HA! (Truck was stopped.) Don't slam the door! A couple of years ago, I had this same thing happen at 65 boxed in on a crowded highway through the city... Nothing to do but keep driving. The empty oil bottle in the door pocket can fall forward & hit the power seat button. (In my case an unavoidable bad pot hole initiated the sequence... before I replaced shocks, I might add.) I thought I had the oil bottle (TCW3) retained so it couldn't do that. I'll look at it today when she's not here.

  15. You see our Gov't is working off printed money so the hope is that our grandchildren will have gainful employment to pay it back. But Gov't keeps legislating with an ideology that hurts, cuts jobs. You and me... we work hard to produce goods and services that have a much longer lasting value to our country than those talking, legislating, arguing and delegating. They take home very high salaries and expensive benefits. Our hard working folks producing goods and services have a positive ripple effect throughout the economy. It helps hold the value of each dollar by producing something of good useful quality. Now with almost every dollar printed your pay becomes reduced in va…

Anyone priced them lately???? It's too "cold" to shoe horses today, so I'm surfing. Decided to check tires, even though I don't need them now. "Holy Burnt Rubber Batman"!!!!!! Wow, have the prices gone up in just 2 years!!!!:duh:AH64ID…………………You'd better buy your 19.5 rims and tires now based on how prices are skyrocketing!!!

Anyone know or do you yourself have a home-based job? I'm really trying to figure this area of occupations out as I'm having some trouble deciphering what is legitimate and what is not. I would love to be able to have a home-based job to work. It definitely would be alot easier to do, but I don't know if the majority of offers made are really just a pipe-dream!What sort of jobs would I expect in a telecommunications job?

Here is a challenge to all cummins ram owners. Lets see who can record the lowest temperature on their dash or overhead console computer. Must have picture to prove. The only prize is bragging rights. I will start with mine, it was -38 Celsius (that's -36.4F) on Saturday morning here as I was travelling on highway 43 to Edmonton, Alberta. That's why we need block heaters! Sometimes I wonder why I live here. :banghead:
