I am not a gambler and only buy about 1 lottery ticket a year but do buy raffle tickets for certain things usually if they are giving away a vehicle or guns. Well I went to our local gun show a month ago and bought 3 $5 raffle tickets from our local shooting club and got a call from a fellow last night telling me I won the grand prize.:hyper: Got me a shiney new S&W MP15 Sport in .223. http://www.bmrpa.org/2013/01/01/2013-bmrpa-raffle/ 839 retail but selling in my area for around 1500, now if there was any ammo to be had for less than a buck a round I would be a happy camper but for now it will look good when I open my gun safe. Now to see if my luck holds as th…

Michael, you spend a lot of time in the woods. Have you ever seen a wolf? On my bucket list to kill one. We don't have a season in Oregon yet.

Hello to all. I have been MIA for quite a while and thought I would try and let you know what was going on. The first week in last December we had a major up heavel in the family. This consumed all of us and is still ongoing at this time. I must keep the nature of this to myself for now. My job was taking me to Alabama back on december 15th. I was out getting the rv ready for the trip and had to jump up in the door way with out the steps deployed. I have done this many times. This time when i jumped I felt something give in my leg and i fell back out on the ground. It felt like some hit me with a sledge hammer and was continuing to beat me while I was laying there. It tur…

I was just informed that I have 10 days to clear cut about 45 acres of feral cedar.. I knew this was coming up, and bought a 'herd' of cheapo poulan 3314 saws for 70 bucks a piece. *factory refurbished* they look brand new. Most of these trees will be 6 inch in diameter.. but I'm going to flush em with the ground. I'll be 'in the dirt' quite a bit. (my Stihl won't see the light of day on this project!)So, race out and fire one up.... got it started and it accelerates ok when warmed up... but boggs down and dies at wot. At idle and medium throttle, it appears to be on the verge of too rich (almost 4 strokes)... about whe…

Ok, so here's the rundown..I replaced my electric water heater a few years ago; maybe 5-6 yrs. It's an electric unit, 50 gallon, 240VAC.A few weeks ago, I replaced the upper thermostat and both elements, due to lack of hot water.Last night, my daughter got in the shower. 10 minutes later, water was ice cold. This morning, I shaved and used a little hot water. Afterward, about 5 minutes later, I hopped in the shower.. Warm water was the best I could get out of it, and that lasted about 3 minutes, then it turned ice cold..I haven't investigated it yet, but this is insane. The breaker isn't tripped, so that isn't the issue.. I just don't know WTF is going on. The old ele…

I've researched the available options & other ideas I've had. I decided to use some SS strap eye anchors. I came up with a dozen from a marine consignment source. They take #10 fasteners & will fit on the inside edge of the bed between stake pockets. I think these will be a useful addition for light loads.

What's the best reasonably priced vacuum y'all can recommend to me?? My current one is about 10 years old and I've never really liked it from day 1. As of now, it's last legs and doesn't suck so well any more. That's a serious observation also!!!! Thanks in advance.

I finished my shopping, packed my car (Cirrus). I find it's hard to dig out my keys once seated, so I've been putting my keys on the car dash in front of the wheel. Right handy once I get settled. Today was a cold day... about 30 with a stiff wind blowing. As I was getting in, the keys fell off the dash, hit the steering column... and disappeared down the tilt wheel slot! Crap-o-la!!I tried tilting the wheel down & I could just touch them but they were jammed. I tried the coat-hanger hook but FAILED. I ended up with them falling all the way to the knee panel. I couldn't reach behind it. I tried fishing some more. No luck. I couldn't see the screws but eve…
