This thread is where I will post updates of my modifications, issues i've had, and potential upgrades I'm considering.

This page is dedicated to @TFaoro, because without him my truck would be bone stock still....

To start off, today my VP died.  It took me by surprise, as it gave no indication there was an issue.  But, it threw Death Code P1691, and that's that.  Good thing it died before I bought tires.

Is DAP everyone's first choice for a new VP?

  • Yesterday I made a trip down to @TFaoro's shop to put a Fast cooler on my truck and do a pinion seal.  While there I was able to witness his new p pumped truck start up and go back together, while put

Tyler does his best to avoid me... Right buddy?

All too familiar with BFF, they always come over when they need something  but hey that's what friends are for. Just kidding there still good people out there...

I used to be all over the place getting involved, now after having kids she hates it even when I'm in garage longer then 20 minutes always on my as..

Now waiting on kids to get a bit older so I can get them to like some things I did. Then I'll be like sorry kids want to go do it. See ya.

Alright @Me78569, here's the data log.  Sections that are highlighted are where the variables were right for the problem to occur, but I couldn't find a pattern.  Hoping you can!

Quick update. Threw in new valve springs and an interstage boost gauge, so I can get the wastegate on the secondary dialed in.  I guess if I have the primary in its happy spot and still blow a boot off at half throttle I'm doing something right...

No, it means you have a crappy intake horn

Believe it or not, that boot stayed on.  The one that blew off was from the secondary to the charge pipe.

Joys of compounds. Managed to split a boot lengthwise, so had to jump on a set of vpmax boots. Hopefully now I'll quit blowing the damn things off.
