Life’s little surprises have put a near end to building the truck I want!  Lol I’ve decided to put all upgrades on hold for now. Going to drive my truck stock for a while until I can afford to do what I want! I’m forced to sell my current tuner because I have some bills too pay and it sucks!  I m planning to hopefully do some 50 hp sticks yo help with a little power and fuel economy are these the right size for max mpg? If possible I’d like to do @Mopar1973Man light upgrade so I can see the darn road lol .  I’m sure y’all have been down this road too?

@Marcus2000monster if I was going to spend money on a tuner few years back I would get an edge. I bought my quad about 7-8 years ago I think and chose it over edge because of more power and the whole

  • I did do something similar back in 1988.  I wanted a pickup or a van with a diesel engine and I became very frustrated at the choices available at the time.  Choices like a heavy V8 engine, no turboch

Here is an idea, I know you're not going to drive a car, how about a suburban with a 4bt in it. Or even drop one in your 96. I've always wanted a suburban with a 4bt just as a grocery getter  But

I've tried the RV275's, +50 HP and now the +75 HP. Now that I've reached 21 MPG with winter conditions and winter fuel I'm fairly happy with my setup. I should be able to reach higher come summer time.

I can only dream of 21 mpg!

Cold air intake hurt MPG's. Optimal IAT temperatures are between 100-140*F. When the IAT drops below 80*F the timing amps up hard and ends up being over advanced. Then the Edge Juice doesn't give any control of the timing. 4.10 gears you could go up in tires size to bring your gear back down to the 3.73 with like a 33" to 35" tires but remember the front axles don't like the heavier tires.

I’ve been thinking about ditching my aem intake. Would you go with a Bhaf or s&b?

I jave 285/75/16 tires tight now I was thinking about going to a 315/75/16 when I do tires next.

I’m  getting rid of the Juice too! I want something with better control over timing and fueling. But I can’t afford anything right now. It will all be in the future with the exception of maybe 60 or 75 sticks and a different filter....

No washable filters. I would either only run stock air box or BHAF. I've seen way too many local trucks damaged from washable filter I do not trust any of them.

Truck came with s&b sold that and got a aem. Sonic I did a bhaf I would just need the factory intake pipe and a napa filter number 6637?

Funny I just ordered a BHAF from DAP this morning. Yeah, you would need the factory tube to work well. I think the K&N tube will work IIRC.

Is daps website down? Nothing shows up when you select your vehicle and jongs look different.

How would this work?

Do you have a link for the elbow?

No I don't,  bought my truck with it and k&n filter, got rid of filter and kept the elbow and bhaf fits fine on it.

Do you have a part number on your oem intake tube? I can’t find the stock one anywhere.

What about running a AFE Stage 1 Air Cleaner with a dry AFE filter?

Junk also...

If every time you wash the filter media it is known that it loses filtering ability. So my question is how many washes before you throw it away? I know you spent a lot of money so you more prone to hanging on excessively long and so your will to feed your engine dust and dirt. If the turbo get dirty at all the filter is DONE period throw it out. I've seen every washable filter past dirt from new.

DAP gave me a filter to try I wouldn't even stick on the truck. Brand new in the box the filter was full of holes and light passing right through the filter. I boxed right back up and had them pay for the shipping back. AFe filter also...

I want to make 500k miles. Washable filters are not the solution to getting there.

Might look it up in the parts look up books.

I tried to but when I selected the parts area in the drop down menu it would do nothing.

Please pardon me as I am always changing my mind but I believe at this point i might just stick with 75hp sticks and a can bus tuner. This should easily get me 350 hp which is really plenty for me. Plus if I do all the earlier stuff I’m going to end up needing head studs push rods and springs  I think.

For what you're talking about doing, those would be just peace of mind mods.  When I put compounds on I only has studs for the first month and it was fine.  Now I have springs as well, but am still on stock pushrods.  You'll be fine without.

Like I said I’m not building a sled puller so I think 350 hp will be just fine for me. I hope anyway!

You heard much about the Qaudzilla Xzt?

65 HP tuner but limited on fuel and timing control. It will work but tuning for efficiency will be tough.

Like myself I'm not in it for the HP and TQ but efficiency and MPG.

But for more efficiency it should be something smaller but yet safe and comfortable.
