I personally would not take anything to to Cummins,  especially the ones around where I am at. It seems that they hired all the retards out there. The price is ridiculously high, if you can put the mo

  • Pilot, whatever stand you buy...use the side of the engine to mount it (engine mount bolt boss'). Do not use the bell housing. Much more stable that way.

I saw that truck yesterday on my way out of Denver, sets at a shop right off  I 70. late 40’s  Ford it looks like,

I wonder if it’s got a Cummins

It's a late 40's early 50's Ford(:spank: my brain fart!)with I believe a little CAT and an Allison. It also has rear steer and can side walk taking up two lanes. I'm hoping to get a close look at it parked somewhere during a cruise weekend in Golden.

Brain fart!

Pretty certain a Ford cab and fenders, but could be wrong.

Y’all are talking about the one at 5R Trucks huh.

Beauty of a truck, looks like 2.5 ton axles too. Easy to make all wheel steer.

I found when we built the engine in my bride's dually that the gasket kit from Cummins was the most expensive part.  ($1,000-ish iirc)

the bearings and hard parts were super reasonable.

If you have mechanical ability, I would recommend building it yourself.  They are basic and stout.

And building an engine is fun and super rewarding when you are towing your load over a hill and passing cars like you are empty...….
