  • I'm betting there's a misalignment yet.  The way I like to do injectors is put injector in, pop in crossover tube, tighten down high pressure line (that way the injector can still rotate in its bore t

  • @Dieselfuture i knew you sold me them in good faith hence me never moaning or asking for refunds or asking for you to sort it etc top guy ????

  • If you're going to be loosening the 19mm nuts completely, it'd be better for you to pull the line to the side and pop the crossover tube out and completely pull the injector and re-seat.

Might need to re-pop test all of them.

My thoughts to.. im going to have to run it for time being as going away for work will this do any harm??

I wonder if they took it upart at customs to see if anything is hidden inside

They ran great in my truck that's what's wired, they have about 6k on them. I would of never sold them if I knew there was something wrong with them. My apologies and hope it's something simple.

You can take it apart and see if there is any dirt in there, just make sure you put shims back the way they come out. Torque is around 32ft/lb

I totally understand youve been spot on through out selling them etc.. i will run it as a few forumssay they have sorted themselves out after some use.. if it doesnt clear over the next month or so i will pull it and strip it

A small scratch or nick can cause that too, look everything over very good. I even took some 1500 and then 2000 sand paper to my injection lines before, to make them mate better, po of my truck must of overtightened them to much and I had tiny burs where the line meets cross over tube. But in your case if you moved injectors and miss moved with it then it does sound like an injector issue. I would almost pull it apart and make sure there is nothing on the end of the niddel where it seats in nozel and look inside the nozel. Use carb clean and air to blow back through tiny holes and then you can use diesel fuel to assemble.

I may strip it again next week i suspect injector too as that is all i moved and fault followed hopefully it will fix itself ?? i can get that injector out without stripping anything really now so i will take it out and clean it at some point

Thankful for old school mechanical injectors. Makes it easy to clean up and reassemble and fix many of these little problems. Where with a CR injector I'd never suggest messing with.

Everything in the UK is CR these days we just order injectors on exchange. I followed your step by step bery easy!

I have found that in more then one case the blue lock bars that go to the isolator bolts need to be loosened as well.

Here's my tightening sequence and I've not had anything off when I follow it.

1. Head side of the lines where they go into the crossover tubes.

2. VP side of lines

3. Injector top brackets (that hold the injectors down.

4 blue lock bars

5. Intake plenum bolts

More often then not those blue lock bars and the intake bolts that they go to will not sit in the same position. And you can get a miss from not adjusting then after you turn the lines down. Everyone need to be snug.
