Post up pics of the various little custom touches you've made to your truck. Interior stuff, exterior, etc. Looking for ideas on mine.

  • My current favorite modification.  sure compounds and 4th gen mirrors are nice, but literally everyone who gets in the pickup notices this one.

  • One of the mods I've done is to add a filter in the power steering return line.  Hopefully that will increase the longevity of both the power steering pump and the hydroboost unit.

My most useful mod...and hopefully nobody will ever see it.    A chain that has a lock and nut/bolt securing my spare tire just in case spare tire winch comes undone again.

I like that one. I did the same, but a little different....... I hung two short pieces of chain on the frame either side of the spare and got a small chain binder to hook the two together and tighten across across the spare tire. When I need the spare I just open the chain binder and let the chains hang out of the way.

I put a clamp around the chain binder to secure the handle just in case.

Our trucks always getting older, adding this for safety is a good thing.

Someone on here has done the 'under hood mouse nest delete'. I laughed like H when I read that . I've had to perform that mod a few times since I live in the woods and my trucks not used on a daily basis.

One of the mods I've done is to add a filter in the power steering return line.  Hopefully that will increase the longevity of both the power steering pump and the hydroboost unit.

Second mod was to wire the truck for video feed from the 5th wheel.  This view out the back window of the 5th wheel allows the drive to monitor the trailer being towed behind the 5th wheel, also when changing lanes if the trailers are clear, and aids in viewing behind clearance when backing up.

Installing the mystery switch with brake release was a big help in towing.

Can I ask where you got this filter? And where in the return system it's located? I would love to do one, since I replaced the gear box.
