  • Fix the unread content issue. I know you think it’s how they designed it, but their forum doesn’t work like this.    I’ll be honest. I rarely come to the site anymore simply because of this

  • Good,  IPS board was zippo help on that one.   Effectively there we 2 choices for a database search engine in the background.  We were using the one classified as more efficent given the amount of art

@AH64ID and others, can you verify that the unread content stream is now fixed?

I forget if this was mentioned earlier, but is there an automatic reminder to "re-up"  when your year subscription is almost over?

If not, this would be greatly appreciated by myself and probably others. :spend:

Not sure. I don't see an email notification in the system. I'm really not sure what it will do.

Door is now closed on the "Expired Members". We are now on the subscription system now.

@Mopar1973Man  I am going to mark it on the reporting so we can see what effect it has on traffic.

I'm pretty sure it going to sink pretty darn good.

If it fails I guess it will be time to just close up the site permanently. It's totally up to the members at this point if they want to see it live on they will pay the fees. If not well that will be the end of the website. No, I will not sell the information, and no I will not give it to anyone. It's up to all you the members.

The old donation system is more like Socialist ideas. Praying that the small percentage (less than 2%) of people will hold it up. Now its completely fair where everyone chips in a small amount to keep it going.

Like I said if it doesn't survive after this I will be closed down for good.

@Mopar1973Man it would prob be a good idea to give everyone that hasn't donated the test drive profile rather than expired so everyone has 30 days to adjust before being limited.

IE all expired members get pushed to test drive then let the 30 day count start.

Ummm... There isn't any way to do that. If I did then as soon as they login the software would see the join date is past 30 days and automatically kick them to the expired member. If I lift that filter then they are stuck there permanently getting a free ride for life.

I could move all 5,000 plus members but as soon they login they get booted back out to Expired if there join date is 30 day or more.

So do you want me to fire up the subscription system or just give up and shut down about my only options???

Edited by Mopar1973Man

fire it up.  It will work or it wont, time will tell.

So wait..... we're pulling the plug or letting this new system ride out and see what happens?

Just not a good day for me. I'm extremely tired. Frustrated and stressed out... If it runs and there is good income its stays up. If no one buys into the system then I'm closing the doors.

Last month running completely in the red, not even enough to pay the bills. Let alone pay me or anyone else. This can't continue.

Letting new system ride.

Heavy discounts added for yearly. %20 for silver 30 for gold %40 plat.

This is sad news... Someone win the lottery and give this man a cut... lol   :spend:

Ponied up and subscribed the full deal.... me thinks that's cheap considering I had another slack day today at work and read all 10 pages of Quad posts before I jump.... priceless info.

I noticed though that before subscribing my account said I was platinum anyway I figured that previous donations had meant I was in already for the year but I went ahead anyway and renewed as it felt like cheating

I figured I didn't but this site is a big help in keeping the wheels turning on the truck and I see it also as info that saves costly mistakes and wrong purchases, bearing in mind there is a lot of BS on this old interweb thingy but here it's more fact and experience
