Basically the new version is a Ford Starter Solenoid. Pass the high current power lead of the grid heater through the high current studs the wire a toggle switch for the smaller control studs. Bingo.

That would be me. I put this one on my truck then I put a differ type that is a lot easier to install on @JAG1's work truck the first of May. I'm waiting to see how he likes it before I write an art

I finished the article "Grid Heater Bypass Simplified" last night and will post it later today after my wife proofs it.
Was there someone here on the forum that is making a switch to turn off and on the grid heaters without triggering a check engine light?
Or a after market company that supplies something like that?
