Just purchased a quadzilla for iPhone for my 1999 5 speed Cummins. The boost numbers bounce around from 10 and back to 0 which causes the truck to jerk a lot. I just received this 5/21 and I took out my edge juice with attitude that I had zero issues with. Would show boost 30+ and the truck ran great. 
 

Quad number is ADR1000 which is correct for my 99.
 

Now my main issue is the 3 prong map sensor connector. The middle prong inside the connector appears to be damaged. I’m not sure if this would cause the issues I’m having. I ordered form power driven diesel and just received it 3 days ago and just installed today. 
 

any advice is appreciated

I'd remove the Quadzilla and connect up everything as stock and see how the truck runs.  If it runs normal then I'd return the Quadzilla and get another.  Sounds like an issue with the Quad.

Damaged middle prong is not a good thing.  That will make the map reading jump.

Runs perfect when stock and when I hooked the edge back up. I also have a snap on scanner and can monitor everything the ecm sees. I guess it has to be that middle prong. Hoping I don’t run into any issues with an exchange from power driven diesel.

Thanks. I guess that’s what it would have to be. I have to wait until Tuesday but hoping I can do a quick exchange. Appreciate the advice. 

Anything below 14 psi the quad is reading the output signal from the ecm.  If you see it jumping around below 14psi then that is what the ecm is also seeing happen.

I can get it to about 20psi but it will jump right back down to zero and then back up close to where it was at. Which makes the truck jerk as you can feel the fuel kicking in and out. It bounces around a lot and is never consistent. It will go from 3 to 0 then to 7 back to 0 then to 15 then to 0 then to 18 then to 0. Haven’t seen anything like it on any other tuner. Inspected all the wiring and connectors and eventually found that prong on the quad harness for the map sensor. 
 

 If I unplug everything and go back to stock, My snap on scanner reads fine from the obd2 and I even plugged my edge back in and it works just as it should as well. Showing boost 30+ easily before backdown. 

Power driven diesel should treat you right they seem to be stand u company 

The Quadzilla can be easily tested.  We have been seeing a lot of issues with map sensors lately.  Especially the cheapo ebay and autzone stuff.  I get that its tempting to get  a sensor from ebay or amazon for $15 instead of cummins/dealer/ Genos for $100+

 

Anyone have a lead on a good aftermarket sensor that works well?

 

Just an update. Quadzilla sent me a new hardness for the quad! Everything is reading right now. Now working on the custom tunes...

I've just fitted a Standard Motor Products AS334 from Rockauto it was £60  which is about $75, best bit was Made In The USA on the box not china

Of course it was about £130 before it got to me due to import duty and VAT 

I paid $150 for a Cummins MAP senaor about 10 years ago. Very expensive. For you its about 121 pound UK.

The import duty and vat on top of cost is the killer, wasn't too bad when exchange rate was over $1.80 to the £ but now its really bad.  Vat is charged on parts + shipping+ import duty × 20%
