September 6, 201113 yr Finally I nice relief from the heat which was brought with wind and just made the fires worse, just cant catch a break here in the Lone Star state! lol-Jordan-
September 6, 201113 yr My mom and sister, both, have lake houses at Whitney. Mom sent me a picture of the lake and it looks absolutely terrible, how low it is (-16ft.) Sis said Lake Travis (in Austin) is even worse looking.. Lake Travis: Level is 47.63 feet below full pool of 681.00
September 6, 201113 yr you boys need a good tropical storm. you can have the one that just passed. ill be hoping one comes your way.
September 6, 201113 yr they definitely need an ole-fashioned turd-floater to roll through and spend a couple days hanging over, with a steady rain.. A good 5 day soaker would do wonders..
September 6, 201113 yr Ha ha we would need more than 5 days there are cracks that you can fit your foot in easily, and loose a yard stick in. I can drive miles and miles on my 4 wheeler or my buddies polaris ranger through creek bottoms never hitting a puddle of water. Lake Texoma the lake closest to me is so low you have to back a boat past where the concrete boat ramp ends. Its just crazy -Jordan-
September 12, 201113 yr After seeing all the storms coming in from Africa heading to the gulf, you should getting something soon. My friend said there was a sign next to the road that said "Satin wants the heat back, give it up Texas". He also is considering doing like they did in Santa Barbara Calif a few years back, cut the grass short, spray it green and the hell with it.
September 13, 201113 yr Heres a few pics of some creek traveling, traveled almost 3 miles down the creek only finding 3 places still holding water the deepest only being maybe ankle deep, this side of this creek is normally impassible and here we are driving down it like its a highway lol -Jordan-
September 13, 201113 yr Owner These true pics from Texas are heartbreaking... Pray for Texas, Pray for the world... Truely sad to see that...
September 13, 201113 yr I guess the only thing good that had come out of it is that weve been going through and cleaning up the creeks and streams nearby. The cool thing is that were actually making a little money doing it, weve found 2 v-8 engine blocks a few hoods and some other chunks of metal that we should make some decent money on taking to the scrap yard -Jordan-
September 14, 201113 yr the creek is clean and a little money in the pocket. that aint all bad. but here is wishing yall some rain out there. no floods allowed.
September 14, 201113 yr Whats this! Could it be! Its not much but any little bit counts right now! -Jordan-
