I am currently at the GE Line Maintenance Course for the T700-GE-701D Engine (found in the Apache and Blackhawk). Today we were talking about airflow. The motor has a final PR of around 17:1, and moves at least 600lb/min! It moves more air in 10 seconds than my turbo does in a minute! This is only a "small" 1800 SHP turbine, not even the big dog's on the jet liners.Imagine how cool we would run at 600 lb/min! (thou the compressor takes more than 4,000 hp to operate).
