saturday and sunday, towing ~4500#, I was getting 5-7mpg @ 60mph per scangauge2... Something is seriously wrong with this truck now.. Oddly, however, it doesn't run bad..

probably going to buying the scan gauge within the month just seems like a real useful tool.just got back from astoria oregon and the little time i have spent on this forum and looking over mikes posts. the drive was so much better while towing my travel trailer gvwr 9575LBs.

60mph, 6th gear, fairly flat highway... No trailer.

Additionally to the above pictures (taken this morning on the way to work), the Edge is (and was) temporarily removed to test a theory M73M had, from our conversation last weekend..

So apparently 55 or 65mph makes no difference.

Are your hand calculated mpg's close the the scangauges mpg figures? I ask because my ultra-gauge took several fillups before it would get even close to the actual mpg's and it still never was right so i quit using it for them.

not really.. I'm going to try and recalculate it again and see what it says then. I still keep hand-calculations in Fuelly.

For my truck its 2-4 MPG difference... I just rolled in the yard from 300+ miles trip at 23.7 MPG (If I remember correctly it's late I'm tired...)

In my 97 CTD, the SG2 keeps shutting off randomly. I've discussed this (offline) with M73M. Reading on their site today, I read this:

[h=1]My ScanGauge will shutdown while driving in my Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep[/h] Some Dodge/Chrysler/Jeeps are sensitive about how fast/slow information is requested from the ECU. If it’s too fast/slow the ECU will sometimes stop responding to the ScanGauge’s requests for information, so the ScanGauge thinks the vehicle is no longer running and turns off to save power. Setting the update rate on the ScanGauge to Fast or Slow can sometimes solve this issue and allow the ScanGauge to operate normally.

So far, ^^^ this seems to have worked..

I spoke too soon, mike.. it started turning itself off again. .. wonder if there's a flaky issue with the pcm...?From the Galaxy S3

Are we a diesel A or B? My Scan gage seems to give me more MPG than I think it should. 24-26 seems high to me. And coasting or under light throttle like 300-9999 MPG. Is this normal?

DieselAHave you calibrated it with multiple fill-ups yet? or just recently stuck it in the truck?

You might check where the gauge plugs into the OBDI port. On my truck, it was turning itself off as well. There is a sliding clip that holds the plug into a metal bracket. My clip was loose, pushed all the way in and no problems for quite some time! :2cents:

No I have'nt. How do you do that?

RTFM lolSeriously, though, the manual spells it out nicely, and it'll take a couple tankfuls to get it dialed in.. From the Galaxy S3
