Hey guys I need your thoughts on these or other serpentine belts. I have 86,000 on my truck now and I think I should change the serpentine belt, but I would like a good one. http://www.puredieselpower.com/catalog/0307-dodge-59l-cummins-gatorback-poly-serpentine-belt-wac-p-33992.html post-11448-138698189868_thumb.jpg http://www.genosgarage.com/GATES-K081264HD-SERPENTINE-BELT-A_C-03-12-59L-67L/productinfo/GATES-K081264HD/ post-11448-138698189876_thumb.gif

The Gates are good belts. The only history I've had with the Gatorbacks is on my old '91 Jetta GLI 16V and that bish made more noise than the motor did.. That was probably 6-7 yrs ago.

I have never used anything else but Gates and plan on never changing any belt without gates replacements.

I replaced the serpentine belt on Mighty Whitey at 100,000 miles. The OEM was still good so I kept it as an emergency spare back up!! Don't recall what brand the new one was though. Almost 170k now.

I have an OEM - Jake in mine still, 67K miles on it and I keep the OEM non-Jake as a emergency spare.

Gates has a heavy duty Fleetrunner belt that is supposedly a lot heavier duty. I haven't tried one on my 2002, but by the price difference on Rockauto, there must be some difference. I read on one of the Forums somewhere that they are a good belt.
