Cost to have injectors installed?
I'll start crankin up the YouTube videa's. Prepare myself for the job. Thanks guys!

Cost to have injectors installed?
Thanks Jonathan. Good to hear from you. Yeah, I have all the tools I'd need and I'd adjust the valves at the same time.

Cost to have injectors installed?
40 hp injectors. I think he had an exhaust leak on the manifold. Forgot to mension that it was a 12 valve.

Cost to have injectors installed?
I know a guy that had new injectors installed and a few other things like the KDP done and exhaust manifold surfaced. He spent $4,000. Does anyone know what the labor charge or at least the number of hours it should take a shop to change my injectors?

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
That'd be awesome. Solve the searching issue, shifting up or down 3rd through overdrive when we don't want it. Hurry up. I'll be a beta tester, molester whatever you want to call it.

And I thought mine was worn out. I didn't get down to the cooling channels.

Ram 1500 diesel
Anyone here anything about these rigs. For a flyer in the mail today from Chrysler advertising it. Anyone know the price tag?

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
Seems like you'd be blowing radiators instead of head gaskets.

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
That's what I'm talkin about.

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
What do you mean by keeping cylinder pressure down?

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
We were discussing in another thread that you could run these trucks at 2,200 RPM's all day. Now what's up with a different concept. I've changed my driving habits to run higher RPM's on hills based on earlier discussion. Now you guys are talking about blowing head gaskets by doing so. What gives?

Cutting in a fuel filter
We'll see how my cheapo inline metal filter works. Not too late to do something different. There are even some diesel canister filters at the farm store for about $60. You guys are always looking at spending $500 for every step along the way.

Firemen's Appreciation Dinner
Everyone needs a positive outlet of service. Congratulations on your dedication. Mine is our new church. We don't keep track I hours, but we know who the troopers are. 5 weeks and 100 people at our last service.

Fuel pressure rises slowly
Spend $50 or so on a mechanical tester gauge. Screw onto the schrader valve and watch pressure there.

Bad Oil Leak
That's only about $259 an hour. Not bad for a family discount. I'd go back with the data. Flat rate accordin to MT is under 5 hours. Ask them why they didn't give you a free tube of KY. If that's family, I'd run for the hills. My guy is about $85 an hour. He's a flat rate shop. Meaning that what the computer tells him is what he charges. Lucky he's not family. $85x5=$425 + parts. $500 tops. Two choices. Be mad forever that family screwed you or confront them.

More on turbo whistle
I'm messin with you guys. It's all good with me. Don't loose any sleep. You could make it up to me by letting me in on your new super secret project! Joe

More on turbo whistle
I don't make fun of the guys who make their trucks loud with big exhaust and minimal mufflers. That seems to be ok. Guess I'll go to another forum from now on.

Cutting in a fuel filter
I know but it was not there.

Cutting in a fuel filter
One thing that I was not ready for, but it is no big deal. Is the fact that when I cut the line coming from the tank it gravity fed and did not stop so it was siphoning. No big deal just shoved on the ball valve with fitting. I tie wrapped the ball valve handles open so they cannot close on there. There was no inlet screen on the raptor, now I am wondering whether the inlet screen is on the outlet port. One thing I have been meaning to do, is to put the Schrader valve I am using to bleed air off of the fuel system on a flexible hose that I can put into a container keep any diesel spillage off of the motor and the inside of the engine compartment. Remove the valve inside the Schrader valve and get some fittings to add a 2 foot or so hose and put a small shut off valve on the end of the hose instead of the Schrader valve which is difficult to open without spilling fuel. Drives me crazy when bleeding the fuel lines and getting diesel all over the engine compartment.

Symptoms of Raptor failure?
I added an in-line filter behind my raptor pump. I found that there was no in let screens on the pump. But my fuel pressure at Idol had dropped from 20 to 15. So I guess after this exercise my only course of action was to adjust up the fuel pressure. What are the symptoms of a raptors declining health? Is slowly losing pressure a concern? Is regular maintenance of any kind recommended? I noticed that the pump came with a large and small O-ring for resealing. I am hoping to beat the raptor failure inevitability.

Yeah, we're still interested in what your problem is.

How much f. pressure is too much?
People are just used to blaming a broken diaphragm. LOL. Maybe because 21 years of child support is so painful. Just a mere $500 a month for 21 years is $126,000. That might cut into your truck modification fund. My buddy just finished his $900 a month child support payment. So he went out and bought a brand-new Dodge mega cab diesel with the savings. He thinks he's getting a free truck.

How much f. pressure is too much?
Is it possible that the 14 pound relief valve in the VP will regulate the pressure inside the VP? Meaning that within reason higher pressure would not be a factor in negative pump longevity? So even 25 to 30 pounds would be okay? Since 15 psi is straight up on my fuel pressure gauge that's an easy mark to never fall below. On the other hand I doubt that an occasional drop below 14 psi is going to be an issue. Since my stock pump was lucky to ever produced 12.

AirDog 2 165 install
Hey thanks for resurrecting this thread. I might try to install my sump further back so the driveline will offer some protection to it. Wondering which way the sending unit float sits. Does it face backwards in the tank? Don't want to drill through it or interfere with it.

How much f. pressure is too much?
I do a lot of offroad driving. It's a little worrisome to have an protrusion hanging off the tank and having gravity fed fuel supply. But if located far enough back so that the driveline is lower than the sump I suppose that would protect the sump from damage. I think I'll do the Bean Diesel sump.
