  1. Hey,That's some useful information Edcasey!!!!I'll remember that if the Dodge has to sit very long!!Later,Winslow
  2. Hey, What did you use to quiet it down??? Dynamat???? Sorry about the hi-jack, but I like my truck a little on quiet side to here the stereo/ cell phone!!! Thanks, Winslow
  3. Hey,Mine has an Ecplise Head unit which has power fold-down and tilt, MTX speakers in the doors with tweeters in the pilars, a set of MTX 10" subs under the rear seat in a MTX box that fits under the seat perfectly!!! And to power the subs a MTX amp, which I though said it was a 350 watt amp!! I would have to check to be sure!! Which also makes me start to think about how the power is getting to the amp!!!!!!! Going to have to check on that! The previous owner installed everything as I wouldn't have went with MTX, but in a essence it doesn't sound too bad at all!! Someday I'm going to put some of those really high-dollar speakers and such to make it really clear!! Being a musician you get kind of picky!!!!! HAHA!!Later,Winslow
  4. Hey, So the front axle is always locked in??? Thanks, Winslow
  5. Hey,That's not a good place to be!!!!! I vote on an Air Dog II!!!!Later,Winslow
  6. Hey, I have a dumb question: If you don't have a vac solenoid on the front axle, how does the 4wd work????? I know it's a dumb question!! Your problem sounds like a loose wire somewhere, probably on the switch! Thanks, Winslow
  7. Hey,You can go with a set of 150 hp sticks as long as you keep your Quad turned down!!!An 62/68/14 charger is said to be a great match, or if you feel like saving some money and do a little fab work a HE351 out of a 04.5-07 Cummins!!!!! It is a 60/60/9, but has been proven to keep temps down and still get pretty good power! A guy on the CF has gotten 462 hp with 150 hp sticks and a Quad!! He still thinks there is more to be had!!I wouldn't do the crossover tubes as the effects for a daily driver are not so good!! It also retards timing due to making it longer/ harder for the VP to pump up the injectors to their pop off pressure!!I'm going with a set of matched 150 hp sticks from Diesel Auto Power!!! Later,Winslow
  8. Hey,Thanks!!That sounds like a good idea, I'll just buy some extra fluid to be safe!!!!Thanks,Winslow
  9. Hey,I'm going to change my power steering pump with a high flow PSC one and put a cooler in line. I'm wondering how much fluid will I need??How much did the stocker hold???Thanks,Winslow

  13. Hey,I've heard of guys not having any problems, and they are located in very cold climates (Colorado, Canada, ect) So I would think you'll be ok... Mike- Do you think it is a good idea to have a bottle of that Diesel 911 on hand in the winter or not???? I was thinking about getting a bottle just in case...Thanks,Winslow
  14. Hey, Have you called Pureflow and talked to them???? They might be able to help!!!!!! http://www.pureflowtechnologies.com/Contact_Us.htm It sounds like it's getting air somewhere or the pump slows down it's pump for some reason... Have you checked filters for tightness and make sure the drain on the water sep is tight??? Does it only do the drop when cruising at 40 mph??? What does it do at WOT and at idle for a period of time???? It is possible the stock draw-straw/ basket is plugged up!! Did you happen to remove the basket and look at it???? Good-Luck, Winslow
  15. Hey,You can check the track bar yourself... need two people, one to jiggle the wheel back and forth, and the other to "feel" for looseness in the track bar and everything else!!!!Later,Winslow
  16. Hey, Give these guys a call: http://www.zbag.com/index.php?option=co ... &Itemid=36 We've always dealt with Craig so try and talk to him. He'll tell you what you need to know!!!!! They have good prices and good quality parts. We've used them a lot on rear ends, transmissions, and transfer cases!!!! Had good luck on everything!!!! I've got a ring and pinion set, Auburn posi, and everything else for my '75 Chevy 1/2 ton; everything is working great since and the prices wasn't too bad!!!! I wouldn't think you would need lower gears for the 33" tires... the Cummins has plenty of power!!!!!! :thumbsup Good-Luck, Winslow
  17. Hey,Where are you guys buying the Valvoline????? Walmart doesn't carry it and at O'Reilly's I didn't see it!!! I haven't checked AutoZone or Napa... Like I always say: I doesn't matter what other people think until they start paying for your stuff!!!! :thumbsup Thanks,Winslow

  19. Hey,I did the key trick yesterday and the P 1693 codes comes up, but nothing else???? It goes ------;P 1693;------;milage. That's it. I've done this several times and that is all I get... I've even taken it to AutoZone and ran the code scanner and no codes!!!! Any ideas????? Thanks,Winslow
  20. Hey,Thanks!!! I got the valves done and truck seems to be a little bit quieter!!!! I wasn't that hard at all!!!Thanks,Winslow
  21. Hey,I'm thinking I need to set my valves on my truck sometime soon, but I have a few questions.1. Are the valves set hot or cold???2. Does the valve cover gasket have to be replaced??? Or is it reusable?? It cost $133 from O'Reilly's!!3. Do you just set the engine to TDC on any cylinder or does it have to be #1?? Then you just rotate 180 to BDC... that's right??I've set a lot of valves on VWs, but they are different as you turn the engine to every cylinder! Thanks,Winslow
