  1. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? Without one it is really hard to diagnose the problem. Any codes? I wouldn't go with a DDRP. Heard too many bad things about them. Get a Raptor or an AirDog imo depending on what your plans with the truck are.
  2. Ed that is quite a nice set-up there! Now you just need that on your truck!
  3. Yep the contacts come from Pete Gould at Gould gear. He is awesome to deal with and has helped me out on more than one time!!!!!!
  4. I've got some pictures for you once they decide to load up!! --- Update to the previous post... Here are some pictures of it and the stuff I have in it:
  5. Well that's good that it is off now!
  6. Yes sir they are! I keep oils, fluids, some tools, jack, jumper cables, ect in it at all times! It seems to close really nicely too!!
  7. Have you figured it out yet?? I agree with Mike and say you might have a connection problem. Get some dielectric grease and put inside the plug to prevent corrosion and moisture from causing problems!!
  8. That's the way to use your head.... Umm I mean feet!!!
  9. I'm curious.. Looking for the write-up!!!!!
  10. That's just how the plunger pulls, to one side. Kinda stupid that it does that and wears the one side more, but that's just how they work. Here is mine when I pulled it apart to check it: As you can see someone has done this and replaced with another stocker.... I didn't like that!!! So.... I replaced it with a kit from Peter Gould at Gould Gear! Worked before and works now. But at least I know where it stands at!!
  11. Can't help you on your problem but the BHAF works pretty well:
  12. Yep that's where I got mine from. I went with the low profile, Black diamond plate box. Works really well, the only thing I don't like is the latches and the fact they face down so you have to lift up to open the box. Kinda a pain on my truck but it works. Have another one on my '75 Chevy that is many years old and is silver diamond, normal height, and it still works. The lid is kinda funky as the driver side won't latch, but that is probably b/c of me and others sitting on it A LOT!!!!! Here you can see it:
  13. There should be another code in there... You need to get a scanner or take it to AutoZone and have them check and see. The companion code is suppose to tell you that an another code is in the computer.
  14. Good eye there!! I call it the "42" b/c I don't know really what year it is, but that's what the guy I got it from called it so the name stuck. I've got the frame set-up for a straight axle off a '64 Ford truck but not sure how well that would work with the Cummins.... Of course I did that work before I got into Cummins so I might have to redo things before I build the project!!
  15. Thanks man for the compliment!!!!!!! Dobie, that's strange it popped some codes after the flash.... I wonder if the dealer did something wrong??
  16. Well did you get it in yet? Let us know how it worked out for you!!
  17. Good point as the G56 has too much linkage for BD to cost-effectively build one for it!
  18. Sounds like you need to invest in a fuel pressure gauge and a good fuel system at the same time. There really isn't any guaranteed VP failure symptoms. There are some more common ones, but they all can act different. Some throw codes, some won't, some have the dead pedal, some don't, some become hard to start, some don't, there just isn't any "one" they do. So it is possible the bucking could be caused by the VP!
  19. Yeah you do hear some mixed reviews sometimes. I'm pretty sure I would like it as I'm used to cars with short shifters where some other guys might now be.
  20. Hey, Well it was pretty clean really, but I wash it though dozens of time just to make sure! The truck has 228k on it now and I've had it since 207k so I don't know how it was treated before me. This is the only inside picture I have when I replaced the still good water pump: Later, Winslow
  21. Hey,I use Rotella T 15W-40 and the last couple of times I've changed it at about 6500 miles. Both of those times I've sent in an oil sample to Blackstone Labs and both times I've been told to try 8500 miles on the next oil change!!:thumbup2:And I just use a Fleetguard oil filter!:thumbup2:Later,Winslow
  22. Hey,I don't have one yet, but most guys I've talked to with them really like them!! They say it makes the truck shift like a sports car. I would really like to have one that's for sure!:thumbup2:Later,Winslow
  23. Hey, That's nothing, check this out: Freaking poppy seeds!! Oil.... More oil!! It was so plugged it was getting warm on the dyno back in June! So I cleaned it: The a/c works much better now, plus I know it has to be cooling better too!!! Later, Winslow
  24. Hey, Heck yeah man!!!!!!! ISX you need to show too!!! Later, Winslow
  25. Hey, Heck yeah man!!!!!!! I've got the same thing posted up in the Kansas section too man! In both Diesel Power and Diesel World they give away 2 tickets each!! Later, Winslow
