  1. Umm.... I don't remember it being that big of a deal a year ago when I replaced mine. Think I just took the nut off and popped it out. Sounds like yours is being a little more of a PITA.
  2. Have you checked you ground for the Edge?:shrug:What boost numbers are you seeing?
  3. This place is good too: http://www.zbag.com/
  4. Yep a little tap with a hammer and out it should come!
  5. Yeah I did this on my fogs and it made a big difference!!!!
  6. Okay I was looking at this a little closer today and bought some relays and a switch. I'm still a little confused.... I see how to do the forced on, but still fuzzy on how to get them on with only the high beams.... I would do it with the low beams but that could be a problem even out here. So... do you have a suggestion on here to trigger the lights with the high beams? Not really sure where under the hood to hook it to...
  7. Yeah after doing the math in another thread, I'm getting about 16.4 mpg with the 35s. I'll see what it does after I get the speedo set like it should be and I can get accurate readings!!
  8. Yeah the reason I went with them is to keep my 35s from rubbing the fenders! I sure wish they were right though!!:banghead:
  9. Yeah that's true Mike. But are times that I wouldn't mind being able to turn them on without the headlights. But I think it would be really cool too have both, flip the switch down to force them on, up to flip on with high beams, and center is off. Or something like that.
  10. Thanks Mike!!! I'm only going with two lights in the grill guard so I'll be fine with that as I've already got the standard stock fogs up there! It will hopefully be like a X-Mas tree!! --- Update to the previous post... I'm trying to decide if it would be worth having it tied into the lights or not. It would be a lot easier just to run it straight to the relay and switch... Have to think about it. Is everything under the hood connection wise?
  11. Cool I gotcha. Would it be too hard to just have them come on with the high beams?
  12. Yeah I know it isn't legal, but I only plan to use them when I'm driving late/ early morning when no one is on the road. The way you've got them would work too, but I want to be able to force them on without the lights just incase I need them.
  13. Hey guys, Okay surfing around the internet and on this site (Mike's truck), I've been inspired to add some lights to my rig. I'm going to get the Napa 50-620w-3 light housings with the 50w bulbs in them. I've thought about adding the 100w 4509 bulbs but think I'll wait for now as I feel the two 50 watts lights will be plenty for me at this time. So what I want to do is run the lights to a switch so I can have them flip on by the switch separately or come on with the high beams.... Is this possible?? Or should I say possible without running a million wires everywhere? What they look like: http://www.yotatech.com/f127/auxiliary-back-up-lamps-75744/ And just in case you are wondering, I will be using relays and 12 ga wire. If I do it, it will be right. Thanks, Winslow
  14. Thanks Mike, I agree that the larger tires aren't the most practical but I'm young so looks are important!!! And really I don't "need" half the stuff in my sig but it sure makes it a lot moe' better!!:whistle:Also check out my Control Arm thread, it is going to be my write on install them!
  15. Some pictures: Well these are too short, they sent me stock length ones.... New jack stands I just bought! Jack stand under the frame! Top and bottom are out. This stuff helps but I still ended up twisting off my front lower bolt... Going to have to call a dealer tomorrow and see what they can find! Done for the night and week really until they ship me the new ones.
  16. That might be true Mike but my truck looks meaner!!!!
  17. Well with that information I did a little math: I run 310 miles according to my odometer. But since I'm 9.3% off that makes it that I ran (310x.093=28.83+310)=338.83 miles really. Divide 338.83 miles by 19.902 gallons=17.024 MPG!!!!! Now I like the sounds of that a lot better!!!!!!:hyper: However with the 285s the speedo seemed to be spot on so going with that, I am now 5.4% off. So I ran 326.74 miles so my milage would be 16.417 mpg. That's not as good as I would hope, but is probably more realistic. I'm going from the speed check radar deal that I've used to check my speedo with. Today it showed 62 and I was going 58-69 mph. Either way, I'm getting better that 15.5 and that makes me feel much much better! Also that milage is running like 70-75 real speed at times averaging a little over 60 mph. Once I start driving normal speeds again that should help the mpg a little too.
  18. Awesome man thanks!! So wonder what 4 mph would be, percentage wise? I bet the dealer would be expensive, I might have to talk to a guy and see if I can work out a deal!
  19. Yeah but one more thing to think about. My speedo is off and so is my odometer, therefore making my milage calculations off. Before school was 16.7 miles away with the 33s; Now with the 35s it is only 15.6..... I love it when roads lose over a mile overnight!!!!:lol:Now I need to get it re-calibrated so my odometer is right!!
  20. Hey guys,I have noticed since my tire change that my speedo is off about 3-4 mph. I thought I read somewhere on how to re-calibrate it but to normal so it and my odometer works right?:shrug:Thanks,Winslow
  21. Well I really like the looks of the tires, but they haven't done my milage any favors. I just fueled up and averaged 15.5 MPG........:banghead::banghead::banghead:I used to get 18 mpg, I just can't believe I lost that much just for going a couple of inches taller. I guess this was another mistake I made..... I put it on my resume` of mistakes... wait I think that's all I have one there.
  22. If you read on the Torque King site they explain what the real problem is. It is the spines themselves that let the nut fall off. People done all sorts of fixes but the Torque King IMO would be the best...But most expensive.
  23. Yeah it is, the earlier trucks used the stupid CAD unit. You've got the better deal. The PCM does control the cruise: http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/general/pcm/pcm.htm
  24. I agree a 3rd gen adjustable track bar would be a good thing to have. But they aren't cheap that's for sure!!! I'm wanting one sometime down the road when I get the money and decide to not spend it on fun parts!!
