  1. Thanks so much man!!!!! I can't believe you even had a video for it, WOW!!!!!!!!!!:thanks:Doesn't look hard at all so I might order that here pretty soon as I would like to be able to lock the tail gate when I'm in town with something in the bed. The locking part will help keep people of taking things out of the bed plus keep them from stealing my tailgate!
  2. ISX has exactly where I was thinking!!
  3. Find the wire and chase it down. Make sure there isn't a bare/ pinched spot and if there is, fix it!!
  4. Also make sure you don't have a kink in the fill hose.
  5. Hey Mopar fans, I'm thinking about adding a locking tailgate handle on mine and was wonder how hard is it to remove/ install it? Here is the one I'm thinking about: http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=BULLY_LH_006 Thanks, Winslow
  6. Mike I've got a question for you. How hard was it to route your wire up to the overhead for your switches?
  7. Well he said he reset his to stock before trying to reset the speedo on his without the tune. At least that's what I understood from what he said. But from what you are saying is that he has to set his to stock, recal my speedo, then he can load the tune back on his?
  8. Hey gang,Got a question for you. A friend of mine has a Smarty and was going to reset my speedo. Any way he tried it on his without the Smarty tune loaded on and it didn't work he said. Him and I were under the impression that he could reset mine and have the tune on his?? Does anyone have some experience with this??:shrug:Thanks,Winslow
  9. Also I would like to see a gasser hit 500k+ miles while towing a trailer and still have the same power as it did with 100k on the clock. Proportionally no gasser is going to have the same power and life as the Cummins and get the same milage. How many 400-500 hp gassers do you know that can get 16-18+ MPG with 35" mud tires on them??
  10. Yeah $15 is a lot better than whatever new ones cost, that's for sure!! I just noticed my spelling error too!
  11. Nice, I can do without the stacks though. Not really my style. I saw a nice 1st gen locally to me a while back. Blue regular cab with flatbed, 4wd and 5 speed. It wasn't too bad of shape, the fenders has a couple of dents. I wished I had the money for it. Like I really need another car/truck!!
  12. Cool deal, I wasn't really sure. I would like to have a 1st gen, their looks have really grown on me!
  13. Cool deal. Yeah I don't think a normal starter battery would have handled it!!
  14. I guess I've never really noticed anything.... Maybe that's b/c I don't normally drive that hard??
  15. I gotcha, cool deal. I was just wondering that's all.
  16. I guess I'm a little confused to what the reason of this is for?
  17. Check out US Gear D-celerator exhaust brakes. They are available in 4" and don't require an air supply plus they install in the exhaust pipe instead of on the back side of the turbo so you can use a larger charger with them!! Here you go: http://www.usgear.cc/dcelerator.htm
  18. That is mighty interesting for sure. Kinda strange but sounds like an easy fix!
  19. If they are a torque to yield bolt, I would replace them. I've had to redo head gaskets on various trucks(non Cummins) b/c someone reused the bolts and then one of broke. IMO, $100 is cheap insurance or just go with head studs if you plan to put some more goodies on it later!
  20. I'm interested in this as well. I would think a person could just buy all the parts for a 2002 including the proportioning valve. I'm not sure if the master cylinder is the same or not... Have to check into that.
  21. Also you might just try having them turned instead of replacing them. Just depends on how warped/ worn they are.
  22. Awesome, great find man!!
  23. I might be able to help you out once I get me truck up and going or you might just PM this guy and see if he wants to work out a deal with you.http://forum.mopar1973man.com/showthread.php/2460-gloshift-gauges-and-JVC-head-unit-for-sale-of-trade
