  1. Yep the hybrid is the HX-35/40. I don't know but they always are. That would be interesting but I'm not a big fan of digital gauges, just too hard to read quickly imo.
  2. Yeah they don't make a dual gauge for a 2nd gen... But EGT gauges are expensive.
  3. Gauge holder? This is what I'm thinking about. http://www.dieselautopower.com/product_p/steering%20pod%20%2098-2002%2015012.htm
  4. Wow man, that's awesome!! My steadish mechanical gig has been working a '66 Beetle that has been through a full resto. I've got the task of helping put it all back together. It's got all sorts of custom stuff on it, from 4 wheel disc to a 1914cc engine. The next project from him is a '63 15 window in need of a complete resto but the price was right!! Before I bought my Dodge, I looked a early 60s single cab but they wanted more than it was worth with what it needed. I still kick myself for not buying the double cab that I saw down in Eureka Springs VW show a few years ago. It was like $6500, which I thought was high..... Yeah right!!
  5. It's for drive pressure from the turbo. I'm curious to see how the hybrid is doing and at what point it starts to create too much drive psi. Kinda a testing deal, figured it would be handy now and later.
  6. Alrighty, those wouldn't be much of problem. The E-Brake light wouldn't be too bad either as I always set and pop it off when I stop/start. Just might have to get in the habit of looking over the gauge just to be sure. As long as the gauges are seen easily, I can live!! --- Update to the previous post... I wonder if 6' of copper tubing would be enough to got from the exhaust manifold to the gauge? I might have to add on to it.... I guess the nylon tube would probably work for the extension.
  7. No smoke switch, just my foot. And that's pretty sweet!!! You still have any aircooled rides?
  8. Thanks man!! Doesn't look too bad, a little obstructive maybe? I might have to give it a try though.
  9. The black Bug is a '66 and the blue one is a '71 standard. I've also got a '73 standard too. Yeah it does, I like it!!!
  10. That's kinda the stuff I'm worried about. I don't like not being able to see my dash. Wonder where else I could mount one?
  11. I really like my new Diamond Eye 4" with muffler that I got for Christmas!!! The way it was.... NOW!! It's all painted black now thanks to some Kylon BBQ paint!!
  12. Awesome man, I think my Autozone water pump was from USA too!!
  13. Yep bought mine last year from Lowe's and it works great. It's rated at like 15 amps and I have a nice 12 gauge extension cord so everything should be safe. That away in the morning it will come on for a couple of hours before I leave for school. My batteries are old enough that if it isn't plugged in and got too cold that night, I won't get it started b/c the grid heaters will pull them down too much! They are next on my list of things to buy, just hope they hold out for a while.
  14. I'm curious if anyone has a picture of a steering column mounted gauge on a 2nd gen truck? I'm wanting to add a drive pressure gauge and think that would make a good place to mount it but I'm a little worried it will block my view of the speedo?
  15. There he is!!! Man, your truck sure has changed according to your avatar.
  16. Awesome man!!!! Glad to have you drop in and say hi!
  17. Yeah mine isn't torn luckily. Still has the noise though. I haven't really done much to it since I came down with this dang cold....
  18. Yeah they are, like a $50 per door for just the one piece and my guess is that I need all of it.
  19. Well those Toyotas are suppose to be well built as long as it doesn't run away with you. The guy I do a lot of work for has a 2007 and it's really nice inside.
  20. I gotcha. Well I was hoping they mounted on top, but I guess on the bottom wouldn't be too bad. You think these would be worth it for me?
  21. I've got 235,--- miles on it as of right now.:thumb1:As far as the seat deal, it's four 10 mm bolts under the cushion to remove it. It's pretty easy, I've had mine in and out over a dozen times. I should say I hate my seats. They are a little better now, still not my favorite. Can't wait to set some Qualitex ones, too bad they like $3000!!
