started my ball joint replacment
Just checking. Try some PB Blaster or similar, let it soak then get a BFH and smack it pretty good. Or the red and green wrench!

Engine rpm's still surging up & down at idle, replaced vp again..help!!
- What tires can i fit?
I have a friend with 315/75R16 Baja Claws with a 2.5 level kit and he gets a little rubbing on the back part of the fender on the passenger side when turning really sharp. I plan to get some 315s as well, just not sure which ones yet. With my 285s I get 18 MPG!!- CAD Vacuum
You can suck on the CAD unit to tell if it is working okay. As for the vacuum lines, I'm not sure which does what, but I'm sure if you started the truck up and got under it, you could tell if you are getting vac like you should.:thumbup2:What is it doing anyway?- VP44 Finally Quit
I've had two from DAP. First one died, second one was replaced under warranty. It did take Midwest Fuel Injection a little while to get me a new one rolling, but they did and it seems to work fine. I think Jacob is getting better at answering his phone too, or at least that's what I've been told!- started my ball joint replacment
When you say hubs, are you meaning where the wheel bearings are that have 4 bolts holding them on? Like this: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/PRE1/515062.oap?year=2001&make=Dodge&model=Ram%2B2500%2BPickup&vi=1400072&keyword=wheel+bearings+%26+seals&pt=03338&ppt=C0337 Just wanting to make sure we are on the same page first. A big hammer is what I've used in the past. They can be rusted on there and be a pita to get off!!!:banghead:- Timing cover broken
I'm curious on how you have a 96, 24v Cummins??- Oil Pressure Sending Unit
Umm.... I've got the flash and mine seems to work fine....??? I don't have another one to compare it to, but it seems the same before and after the flash!- 2002 24v missing
This is what I'm thinking.... Does the truck start okay??- Engine rpm's still surging up & down at idle, replaced vp again..help!!
Yeah I'm thinking an ECM problem. Could be a cam/ crank sensor too, or a dirty fuel filter... or a bad wire...- VP Return Line
Are you having some starting problems or something?:shrug:I would say as long as you don't get much above 20 psi it would be fine. You may be able to go more, but I'm not that lucky!- Odd "stumble" scenario
Well for one thing you NEED a fuel pressure gauge!!!!!! I would try to remove the Edge just to see what happens. Also have you changed the fuel filter?- 3rd gen air box fit 2nd gen tube?
I run an oil sample at every oil change. The first one came back clean but the turbo only had 150 miles on it. I'm not too worried to tell you the truth. About everything you buy is made in China and such, so it doesn't bother me too much. If I could have afforded something better, I would have; but I needed a turbo as the stocker was toast!! And being a college student doesn't help with funding!!- 3rd gen air box fit 2nd gen tube?
That is a generic HX-35/40 hybrid turbo from dieselautopower.com. Seems to work pretty well for the price of $330.- Manual trans swap.
Maybe, I've heard so many different things about floating, but I do it all the time in my NV4500, no problems yet!- Manual trans swap.
The NV5600 is nice and I like how it floats gears. Plus having the extra spacing in the gears is handy too. But the NV4500 is lighter, cheaper, and easier to find parts for. The NV5600 is rated for more power but the 4500 can be beefed up with aftermarket parts and the Torque King can fix the 5th gear problem!- ABS sensor
That's what I would think too as the sensor has to have a change in resistance to work.- Fuel Gauge
It should, they are suppose to be good gauges even though my friends 3 in 1 doesn't make any sense how the gauge mounts into the pod...:banghead:- Short Throw Shifter
When I drove a friend's truck with the NV5600 it felt shorting and easier to shift than my NV4500... I really like it and floating was easy too!!- Full Color Wiring Diagrams!
Very nice Mike!!!!!- High Idle BOMB COMPLETED!
Hey, Awesome to hear man, let me know and I'll get it headed your way! Later, Winslow- A few problems
That is wild!!! I would hate that to be my truck, man that would suck for sure. Lets not have any respects that guys!!- Harder starting when warm?
Tell me about it. It doesn't look on the gauge to be too high, but you never know. What's strange is it doesn't do it all the time. I might try the lift pump idea and see what happens. I've tried not to let it bother me as that will only make my mad, but figured I would try to get some ideas on it!- Harder starting when warm?
Everyone,Well my truck has done this for a little while, but thought I would ask and see what people say. The truck starts great in the morning everytime. It seems to mostly do the harder starter (when it has to crank a few more times to start) when the engine is warm. I'm going to start to watch and see if that is a rule with it or not. The VP is new for the second time on 7/23/2010 from Midwest Fuel Injection. The first one was replaced on 1/11/2010. Fuel pressure is good, no codes and the truck runs great otherwise with high 17s or 18s mpg on average. Any thoughts guys??:shrug:Also I should say it did this a few times after I put the new VP on, then I tighten the injector lines and it didn't seem to do it again. But recently I started doing it again. Doesn't always do it and it doesn't seem to matter if the truck is facing up or down hill...:ahhh:Thanks,Winslow- surging
I would reset the apps and see what happens. It could be a bad apps or a bad wire. Might want to pull the plug and put some dielectric grease inside of it just to make sure that isn't a problem!! - What tires can i fit?
