My '02 blows a lot of heat but did not recently do so well even with the engine at operating temp. I pulled fan and did what checks I could there which is not very much it seems. Fan worked fine but sure didn't think to count fins. Just made sure all were there. I finally pulled heater hose and blew it out before trying something deeper and guess what?? Heat!! Did seem to blow a plug out. Maybe not quite as good as it was but it does get plenty warm now. Radiator looks clean as a whistle inside so might just try blowing yours out unless it has never done good. I think if everything is A OK you should have all the heat you could ever want. I know both my '01 and this one sure did until this recent snafu.

My new 2006 Dodge Ram 3500
I would do some real research on hotshotting if that is where you want to go. Many don't do well from what I read. Just a bit of a heads up. Don't want to get caught running illegal at all which is how some make it.

Some nice 47re info and tear down
Jon is outstanding at what he does. I had the privilege of meeting and becoming personal friends with Tony Garcin. Founder and owner at the time of Dunrite. He has since passed and I lost a great friend. I actually built valve bodies for him. Learned many things that summer. We were going to do my tranny together but cancer got him first. When I needed to have mine done was about the time I took notice of Jon on the forums. We had some e-mail and personal call or two and what I heard from him (Thanks Tony!) said he was my guy. I had him do my '01 which a short time after got totaled. I was going to swap trannies into my '02 but my knee injury from '84 finally took the joint out. That was out so back to Jon. During our conversations it was like chatting with Tony all over again. So twice I had the privilege of watching him work. And for me we became personal friends also which if you ever meet him you will know that is a huge plus. Great guy and great tranny guy!!! Any of you reading today happy Thanksgiving to all!!

Sorry Everyone I haven't felt like participating much Lately.......
I am not. Time goes much faster as you age. Will be 73 on the second so I do know about that.

Sorry Everyone I haven't felt like participating much Lately.......
Thanks Dripley. Always wishing you and all others on here the very best. Will say prayers for you to help stop the smoking. Nasty unhealthful habit as I am sure you already know.

Thanks so much. Not happy about it but it is the path for whatever reason God has put me on. I will walk it with faith.

Sorry Everyone I haven't felt like participating much Lately.......
Thanks Mike and I do. But as you more than likely may know sometimes it takes an effort to do that. Was diagnosed with Crohns about 2 weeks ago and then it's like OK when is the next good news going to show up. Takes some to get over that when for 5 years there is some good news but not really great like no more sickness anywhere. Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry Everyone I haven't felt like participating much Lately.......
Thanks so much. That's a great offer but after being admitted they took GREAT care of me. ER can't say exactly the same which I was told on the floor they have heard before. Reason they kept me was my heart rate was low which is normal for me but not in 30;s low and dropped to 19 couple times. Should have told them to bring prettiest gal there to hold my hand and probably take care of it but I never knew anything was amiss. Gave me a stress test next afternoon and I passed it with no apparent issues. Sent me home with stick on heart monitor that stays for 2 weeks and was sprung that evening. They had pretty good menu and if you had unlimited on it would bring you anything you want in about 15 minutes between the hours of 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM so not bad at all. Fairly good stuff too. Was back this AM for first chemo appt. Not a lot of fun but only reaction I had was hiccups so far but they tell me I will lose whatever hair I have left. Wonderful.. Thanks for asking, responding and being so willing to take care. That means very much to me. My wife has been absolutely wonderful through this and was right with me. I will keep you in my prayers that you too get well.

Sorry Everyone I haven't felt like participating much Lately.......
Sorry to hear this Jag. You WILL be in my prayers. I have my own health issues. Was at PDX ER last week and then was admitted for the night. Docs had already given my latest permanent checkout date as this coming day before Thanksgiving. A date (Lord willing) I do not intend to keep. This was my view a few mornings ago from my 8th floor "suite" at PDX VA hospital. Hope you are better soon.

Code questions
Thanks for looking but that is the OBD port. I found the pinout for the one I need in FSM. If I read it right and actually got the correct pins i got no voltage at all when checked them. Good or bad? What does this mean and what next? Thanks for any help. Usually I don't need to ask much but electric stuff is a killer for me. Still raining but I'm at least dry and warm. Thanks.
-
Code questions
Rains have eased for a bit and I am checking. Trouble is I don't which pins are 3 and 11. How does one figure that out? Looked in FSM and don't find pinouts but maybe I don't know where to find them.
-
Code questions
I'm electrically challenged in many ways including terminology. Rain not slowed down yet.
-
Code questions
Don't know why I put IP other than I meant instrument panel. LOL Thanks, this is very helpful. Raining like heck now but will try to get that done if there is break in the rain.
-
Code questions
So it appears I have to pull the IP to check this? How does this get fixed if it's messed up?
-
Code questions
Oh, OK. I'm fairly good at a lot of things with vehicles but electrical stuff is not one of them.
-
Code questions
I have searched some but maybe don't how to do it properly since I couldn't get answers I am looking for. Forgive me if I'm just not smart enough to get them. Anyway, I recently had codes 1693, 0500, 1694, 1698 pop up. I had not yet done the WT mod even though I have been trying to get it done for quite some time. Life gets in the way with some travel and serious AO health issues. Some of that relates to not having much strength or energy. The tach would drop out and come back for awhile and then drop again. Cleared codes and 1694 and 1698 came back. Cleared again and 1698 was back. Did the WT mods and put a fuse in the blue wire to PCM. I had checked AC voltage about a year ago and it was .03. Checked it before I did mod and it was .14. After mod it was .013. Cleared codes, drove it a few miles and no codes returned. Pulled my toyhauler to Gee Creek rest stop on I-5 to dump my tanks and 4 same original codes popped up. Other than tach dropping out again rig runs fine. So I am guessing my PCM is one the way out. Is that probably a good assumption? Can I keep driving it for now or will it leave me dead in the water someplace? I know there is a list of rebuilders which I have not yet looked for but where is best place to get it rebuilt at this point? Thanks for any help on this. Stay safe!!! Thank you. I will do that. Thank you. I will do that. I didn't do the quote and it merged the post. Not sure how to delete that.

Drawstraw Users - How low can you go?
I try to always fill up at or before I see the gauge hit the halfway mark. Running out of fuel in anything sucks but more so with a diesel rig.

We have Extreme Fire Conditions starting 5 pm This Evening
We are traveling right now but have someone at our home east of Vancouver. 217th ave and there was pretty large fire at 234th ave which is too close for comfort. Fortunately that one got put out quite quickly. Several or more friends/relatives/Fire coworkers live in same area Jag does and have been evacuated. So far none have lost their home I know of but neighbors have. One is east of Estacada and has been checking in regularly and is staying put. Couple years ago he purposely logged around his place to create a large defensible area. Working so far although he spent the other night and day putting out spot fires with a pump can. Hopefully this will get better soon. We also have 5 year old grandson in the Couve who has had health challenges involving his lungs and other things and the smoke is VERY bad for him. Prayers and good wished for Jag and everyone else in endangered areas. Strange time indeed. w

Looking at new/used RV's
You guys are right about this not best time to buy an RV. So guess who bought a used class C? 2011 with less than 16,000 miles and very nice but a lotta dough right now. Wife's happy though. Me? Not so much. we are in Marana, AZ at her sis and 113* today. Waaaaayy too hot for this ole PNW country boy! So far the RV has been pretty good other than pretty gutless. 350 Ford chassis with a 5.4. Wanted to weigh but never saw a closed scale when I was driving. Smaller than what you are wanting but I bought a new bumper pull Livinlite Toyhauler 2018. Have not made long trips with it. I use it for my fish wagon on a North OR coast river. No longer built but ATC probably makes a passable (comparable) model. I have not had one issue with it although the dealer did tell me expect to since most come back at some point. Good thing about this one is all aluminum and azdel (man made) interior. NO wood. No leaks as yet or anything which is most common issue it seems. Not perfect as I would change some things on it but pretty happy with it. Mostly posted to let you know not everyone has issues with new. At my hoped for camping spot near my fishing water.

Lets see who you are!
If you think Walt and I look alike you ought to see me with my genetic related brother! LOL. Never have made a NW Bombers meet. Would like to someday but I have not heard of any recently.

Lets see who you are!
Walt has been a great friend and mentor. He was ODFW North coast district biologist when he retired. I have told him he has been a great disappointment to me. Since he was a fisheries bio I thought when we started fishing together I would catch waaaay more fish with his knowledge available. Somehow it did not work out that way. We have had some really wonderful enjoyable and good times fishing together. Also razor clamming. Jag you are looking good and I know about getting something done later. Unfortunately for me later is right now! LOL

Lets see who you are!
Me on right and my fishing pard Walt on left. Walts '99 and my '01 that was wrecked and am pulling my first old beat up 19' trailer. Walt is about 8 years older than myself and I knew the day would come when one of us could no longer do this. That came last year. I helped Walt in and out of gear and up and down hills. Once on the river he did move around some but spent a lot of time sitting on a rock to fish. He said at the time probably last hurrah for him. Made me sad as I have known him since mid 70's and some years later started fishing together.
