Big change in my life...
My wife and I were just chatting a bit about that today. Certainly something to consider. My aunt and uncle use it.

Pretty much although I am not sure if it will travel as soldering copper pipe will. Might have to get it from both ends. BTW, over the years there have been tons of rigs of all kinds with and without sway bars although generally better to have them, IMHO.

Big change in my life...
For sure no one wants to hear diagnosis terminal/prognosis 3-5 years. Suddenly you look at things with a different perspective. Starting to pare down projects and get rid of "junk" which for us is good stuff. I believe I will be here for Makiahs 18th birthday. Russ Roth shared 1 photo with you - Copy.eml

A way that has worked for others and has worked quite well a couple times for me is to heat it lightly enough to suck candle wax into the threads. Only enough heat to melt the wax. May have to do it more than once and then even if you have to use EZ out it should make it much easier to do the job. Give 'er a try. It does work especially if there is something left to grab onto and not have to use EZ out.

- Big change in my life...
I can relate to what is happening with you. Agent Orange has reared it's ugly head for me. Prostate cancer which couldn't be found with 3 biopsies, 45 total samples, not cancerous, not precancerous. Doc says not comfortable at all with that so ordered lymph node and bone scans. Bones clear but 3 enlarged lymph nodes which she tells me only comes from the prostate. At that point surgery and some other options are off the table. I now have Doug for Kaiser Doc but mostly go through VA. I really like Doug and found he fishes some where I do although have not yet ran onto him. Now 3 1/2 years later blown through most medications in a few months instead of several years like most. Past year diagnosis terminal, prognosis 3-5 years of which some is already gone. One more pill left beside lupron shot continuation then next would be a form of chemo once very 3 weeks for who knows how long. Doug had mentioned about research through OHSU and so asked about that and was referred to them. Was #7 on a list for one but just found out did not have proper blood work markers. Waiting for another to come up later in summer maybe but continue on for now. When I met Julie (research Doc) she reiterated the diagnosis/prognosis since I told her I was a guy that wanted to know upfront. By this time it had jumped to my left femur which I thought was probably a couple spots even though she wanted to x-ray it to make sure I didn't have a break. I was like whoa, whoa, whoa, whachu talkin' 'bout Willis in my mind. I'm still fishing, working around home and doing other stuff I have always done although at much reduced speed and energy due to medication. If not for that I really would not know anything is wrong. X-ray ame back OK. Next time I saw her I asked to see what the scans looked like. Arthritis pretty much everywhere which I already knew but I was shocked to see my left femur. As soon as she turned it around I could see why she wanted x-ray last time. In probably 3/4 of the femur. Not so good. I did look Julie right in the eyes and told her I had an 8 year old grandson (9 in a few days) and for him the sun rises and sets on me. He has told me, his mother and Grandmother that he loves Poppy more anyone else in this world which I take very seriously. I then said I believe there is a God, a plan for your life, someone is watching out for you, in the power of prayer and miracles because as recently as 2010 if not for a miracle you and I would not be talking right now. So I have asked God for 10 years, 3,650 days, not for me but for Makiah or a complete healing miracle, not so much for me although I would like that, but for my unbelieving friends and relatives, they know who they are, and I am believing he will at least give me the 10 years for Makiah.- Turbo Install
A bit of advice from experience. Not me but someone I know well and many of you here would know if I gave the name. I won't to protect the guilty. Make sure the seals face the right direction or you will have a runaway when you fire it off. Or at least do as my cuz who worked as Service manager at McCoy Feightliner PDX for some years. He told me SOP for them whenever they do anything with a turbo like that or even changed to a new one it was 2 man job. One doing the starting and another with a piece of plywood to slam over the turbo intake to stop the runaway if it happens. Just FYI.- killer dowel pin question

Thanks for sharing that story Mike and I had no clue about this issue. Currently in Topanga Canyon visiting my cuz and my unc who is not doing well. I too have cancer health issues due to agent orange. Will be sending check to forum as soon as I return home. I was diagnosed in 2015 with prostate cancer but the way it was diagnosed was through bone and lymph node scans. It had already jumped ship into the lymph nodes and now significantly into my left femur. I've blown through medications like a hurricane and am now hooked up with OHSU research Doc (Julie). Had 2 scans about 3 months apart with no significant change between them. When she first gave me that info about the femur I asked about prognosis and she said 3-5 years. I told her I have an 8 year old grandson and for him the sun rises and sets on me. I said I believe in God, there is someone looking out for you, the power of prayer and miracles because as recently as 2010 if not for a miracle you and I would not be talking today. I then said I have asked God, not for me but for Makiah, for 10 years to see him to adulthood or a complete healing miracle, not for me but for several of my friends who do not believe as I do and you know who you are Robert, Cris and Walt and maybe more. She said I think you will get it. We recently bought some wood flooring from one of our local pastors my wife knows and I had shared this with him and a couple other along also. As we were leaving he asked to pray for me and of course I said yes. So 5 people laid hands one me and prayed right in front of the storage unit. While I was not having too much issue yet I have felt really good ever since and that has been a couple months now. Will be praying for both of you.- How well does your truck pull 8,000 pounds

More than once I was privvy to phone conversations Dave and Tony had to bat around ideas to solve an issue one or the other had. At one time Dave worked for Tony and apparently gives Tony a lot of credit for what he knows and has accomplished.- 47RE advice
The very reason I drove across the state to have you do my tranny. I could tell you had figured out how things worked same as Tony did. Not sure if I mentioned the trip to Ammco and the blank stares as Tony waxed poetic about trannies. LOL Have to stop by sometime just to tell you that one.- Steering Linkage Y, T, ?
Better check what you have under there OEM. I think '99's came with T style from the factory. I wouldn't change. I did on my '01 and was better but my '02 has y type and is still really good even with quite a few miles and the dreaded O/S tires. =)- A Couple of Questions for Mopar1973Man

Well I happen to be a chocoholic so I notice when in that realm more than most!- New Tire Size found 235's to 245's
Not just tires that happens to. I remember this chocolate desert thing that came out when I was about 25. Loved it and couple years later no more. What's up with that anyway??? Good product that seems quite popular and then all of a sudden no more. Can think of others too if I spent the time. Is Big O even around anymore? I don't recall seeing them for quite some time.- New Tire Size found 235's to 245's
They are a good tire. I had about 40,000 on the first set when I got hit and totaled the '01. Lost a tire with no damage to rim but couldn't find a matching one so ended up finding another set of right priced 3rd Gen rims and bought 4 new. I have 7 mounted and 1 loose rim now. IIRC the first set still had about 7/32 tread but will measure one tomorrow just so I know for sure. Discount tire says Nitto won't have those for much longer because they don't make enough $$$ on them. Why is it when you find something you really like it seems like it eventually disappears??? BTW, forgot to mention in my previous post I was towing my toy hauler on hwy 26 in the snow. While it is larger than my previous one it is also lighter but still over 15,000 gross.- New Tire Size found 235's to 245's
I've been reading these posts with interest but nothing to this point has made me think I would change tires and size I have been using at least 3 or more years on this '02 and my previous '01 which got totaled. NItto Duragrapplers 285/75x17 on 3rd Gen wheels. Load range E, weight rating of 3970 and a very stiff sidewall which is one major feature I was after. They tow very well and I could not tell much difference in mileage between the previous 265's original on the '01. '01 had 3.55 open diff while the '02 is 4.10 suregrip. I did pain quite a bit over getting a straight tread tire as opposed to something with some type of traction tread. So far no complaint and that is several times in snow and have yet to hang iron. First time I took the '01 to Campers hideaway and if anyone knows the road there you know how steep that is in a couple places. I never thought I would make it barefoot but climbed right through the worst part with little difficulty. Our place is the very first at top of the hill so did not have to deal with anything too steep inside. Coming back down the rig did try to swap ends but I managed to finagle it OK. While there have been more, this last winter I really got caught by surprise. I was on my fav steelhead fishing river and by myself as my pard had only spent one night. Last weather report was one he came with and it was pretty fair one 2 days old. I had nearly left day before but decided to wait until next morning to miss most of PDX suck traffic and drivers. Imagine my surprise to wake up to about 2" of snow! As I recall it was also the first Saturday of spring break. I figured probably not that bad on towards PDX which turned out true but not until after the coast hills. Traffic was everywhere and some spun out including semis and a number of TT and MH either spun out or pulled off to the side. Any on my side I managed to drive right around. I pulled off at rest stop east of Elderberry Inn and when I stepped out the snow was at least 18" deep. Never thought I would get going again but did and never had to hang iron. Not too much trouble at any one spot. That was a new set of tires both of those occasions so may be different with less tread on them. Nevertheless I am extremely pleased and I would estimate no less then 60,000 miles out of a set, probably more. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!!- First 4x4 front unit bearing replacement.....
He can also set it up to lock in first gear too. Mine is that way as was the first one he built for me. I also had first gear lockup on the OEM trans in the '01 with the Dunrite VB I had. I have a couple places I use it with the toy hauler and very slow going due to rough and steep old logging roads. Very useful for me. Just don't let it shift 1-2 locked as it will knock your socks off with a triple disc convertor. 2-3 is ok as long as you are under load and power and 3-4 always works good locked unless you back off to very little throttle then it has a kick,- Transmission dip stick question
I ground the tip off mine so it no longer did that. Seemed to hit bottom of pan. I have a deeper one now so can't tell if that would have stopped it or not. RR- Rear Brake Hard Line
I dfon't know about legality but they are not good enough for the pressures you see in a brake system IMHO. On Moparts if that suggestion is even a thought it is shot down so fast it would make your head swim and they are a pretty sharp bunch overall as is here. Just because it worked for now doesn't mean it will stay good when you really need it or it is correct. Again just MHO and worth all you paid for it. - Big change in my life...
