  1. Awesome, thanks guys! Looks like I might be calling Eric soon!
  2. I have 3/8" fuel line everywhere on my truck and was looking at getting Beans sump kit for next month's project, which comes with a 1/2" fitting. Can I run 1/2" from the tank to the fuel filter or should I run 3/8"?
  3. It's possible to have the KDP, you won't till you take the timing cover off...my 01 didn't have it. 98-00 were more prevelant to have it than 01-02.
  4. That was my initial thought, skyjacker d25s, but then I decided I didn't want to raise the front that much for added wear on the front end/nose high when loaded. 1.5" spacers come in tomorrow, I should have them in Friday night and we'll see how bad it pulls my axle with the stock track bar. Probably getting an adjustable track bar this winter/spring anyways...
  5. The rubber insulators were bulging out around the shock tower and I needed to replace them. So I figured while I was doing that for 100 bucks get new coils. The V 10 coils were supposed to be taller and rated for more weight than the diesel ones. Worst comes to worst I yank them and put diesel ones... Also after 220,000 miles and 13 years those coils are probably pretty tired
  6. Type One Tangential End; One Square End Inner Diameter 4.09" Wire Diameter .84" Median Design Height 16.00" Number of Coils 8.05 Design Load 935 Spring Rate 423 Approximate Free Height 18.25" Here are the specs for v10 coils. They are definitely a little shorter than stock now that they are loaded, so I had to buy 1.5" coil spacers, coming in this week.
  7. Not really, because come to find out my steering bushing/bearings were just fine. I was chasing down front end issues and it ended up being everything else...tie rods, gear box and I think my steering shaft is worn.
  8. I did it without having to remove the steering column. You obviously have to remove the steering shaft though. I believe I also cut my washer with a dremel. I did have to sand the inside of the bushing because it was binding.
  9. V10 coils came in, they are the same height as the oems, about 17-7/8s. But, they are variable rate instead of constant rate. The spec sheet said they are supposed to be 18-1/4", with a design load of 935, as opposed to the diesel ones rated at 807 lbs per coil. It doesn't seem right that the new coils are the same height as the old ones, unless sagging coils are a myth...any input?
  10. Ya that's not bad. I could get v10, highest load rating, Raybestos coils for under $100 for the pair. Can't lose
  11. The first one is for 2 wheel drive, it's only like 13" tall. The second is for v10s, but I wouldn't see how that would be different if it's rated for more than the last one...
  12. NAPA has some and they are rated for 807 lbs per spring, which seems too light. Are those beefy enough for a quad cab long bed? I can't seem to find the stock specs for my coils and I'm not spending the $ for dodge springs.
  13. I sent him a PM. But, I haven't been able to blow smoke at some times, even when I'm on the pedal and the rpms are low, which leads me to believe VP. I was also reading about setting the idle higher for the torque converter, which is a simple enough test and could be causing my stall.
  14. What are the stock coil springs rated for/design load...on a 4x4? Does quad cab vs single cab matter? I was just looking at stock height coils and can only seem to find ones for single cab or shorter wheel base.
  15. I think he said he replaced his crossover tubes, which might be in my future. But, since I don't know the history of my VP, it's suspect.
  16. I have rancho rs 7000 made for a leveling kit, they are super stiff and I wouldn't recommend them for asphalt driving. If you have the money, bilsteins...What Mike said, if you do the leveling kit, get an adjustable track bar, that's only thing keeping me from doing a leveling kit right now is the $400 for a track bar.
  17. They're in! Idles a lot smoother than the 60s, still have my stall issue when put into drive or reverse though...
  18. Are the rocker arms supposed to move like this? I checked the torque...27 ft-lbs and still movement, only 2 don't move like the video. Snug them? Video won't upload
  19. I think my injector tubes have some debris in them, what's the best way to clean them? Air compressor? Blow from the tip or filter end?
  20. Mine doesn't lope. I have the same problem Mulcher has where the truck almost stalls out when put into gear from a cold start.
  21. I'm having similar issues. This weekend, I'm swapping out my 60s (I think 6 hole) for 100s (7 hole) and new connector tube o-rings. I'll report back...
  22. Didn't even think of that, thank you sir!
