Another 47re Thread, Lol
Make sure your valve body is tuned for a billet single disc. Check pressures at the ports. With 60 hp sticks and an edge comp I burnt up my billet single disc. But, I may have valve body issues, which I am going to address in the spring.

No over drive on 47re
No, it's simple. You need to drop the pan, take off the filter, and the housing is right there. The cover plate is held on by a couple screws. There's plenty of information out there. If you plan on keeping your truck for a while and doing the tranny work yourself, invest in the service manual from cascade transmission parts, it has diagrams and instructions. http://www.cascadetransmissionparts.com/3-4accumulatorspring.aspx http://www.cascadetransmissionparts.com/technicalmanual46re47re48re.aspx

No over drive on 47re
Hard/violent shift from 3rd to 4th? Broken 3-4 accumulator spring. Might as well replace that too while you have the pan off. http://www.cascadetransmissionparts.com/a61847rh-re.aspx

EGT Question
HY35, can't use a boost elbow. There is a hard line from the compressor to the wastegate. Comanche would need a turnbuckle or a used HX35.
-
EGT Question
NO way! HX35 for sure. Unloaded an HY35 and those mods are manageable with normal driving. Any acceleration or hauling and it can't keep up. 3. Yup. Under load, need that airflow to get cool air in and hot exhaust gasses out. Big air pump

Hard starts and weird tach
Grease on the connector tube o-rings? Better than oil, seal it better?
-
EGT Question
HY35 is good for stock, anything more than stock and she gets toasty. Mine would get hot with 60 HP injectors alone. I did the swap, well technically a WH1C (same size as HX35), it keeps things cool under load or acceleration with slightly more lag down low. Well worth $150 for a used one. As far as exhausts, I love my 4" but I would get a 5" just for the sound, my preference.

Fuel Boss Mechanical Lift Pump System
I'm lost...If the fuel boss is pulling fuel after the filter then it could suck air right? Right now it's set up where it pulls from the tank, fuel reaches the fuel boss, then it pushes to the stock fuel filter.

Fuel Boss Mechanical Lift Pump System
Call Richard at GDP, He would know best. I have a fuel boss and I love it! Because the pump pulls fuel and doesn't push it I'm not sure where The extra filltration would be located.

Coil Springs
That's a terrible pic...almost got her in -take off the driver's side wheel -hardest part is dropping this square nut into the frame rail and then trying to find it to get the bolt started -bracket is beefy, holes line pretty darn good
-
Coil Springs
I know that story, it never ends...

Coil Springs
Ohh yup! Cummins Performance Parts (CPP). $390 shipped. The box says Titan Machine, Saint Paris, OH. Must be a small company. No drilling required. Hopefully get her in over the weekend.

Coil Springs
She's in!

Coil Springs
Rockwell snow plow prep coils installed! They raised my truck about 1.5"! Now with the coils and spacers the truck is sitting almost perfectly level...which is a little much, now she'll be nose high when loaded. I hope they sag a little bit. Who has a V10 or V8 and wants new coils?! 3rd gen adjustable track bar ordered from CPP...paypal extended my credit line. I'll do a little write up on the track bar when it comes in. New coils are much beefier than the stock ones or V10 ones and are constant rate. Once again I was proven wrong by knowledge and experience...Wild and Free was right, I should have just spent the money on plow prep coils from the get go, now I need to unload my V10 coils.

MoparMello: Cooling problem
Snow plow mounted in the front or in the bed? When we used to plow in my boss' duramax the temps would get toasty because the plow was blocking the air coming in the front grille going down the highway.

Coil Springs
Snow plow coils ordered, I will have to sell my V10 coils on craigslist

Coil Springs
Taller when loaded

Fuel Line Question
I talked with Richard at Glacier Diesel, he said running 1/2" would be a pain and it would choke down at the pump (fuel boss) anyways. I guess 3/8" for me...

Happy Birthday Michael
Happy Birthday Moparman!

Coil Springs
Thanks for your input rancherman. It's nice to get advice from experience. With the spacer's, the truck is sitting almost exactly 1.5" taller in the front, give or take 1/16" or an 1/8". I'll drive around with them for a while and see how they do. I was curious because the bottom 3 coils are pretty much touching so the maybe the ride quality is dependent on the upper coils which are spaced further apart.

Miss at all RPMs
Lines leaking at the head? Since my 100 hp injector install my lines are leaking and I can't blow smoke...distorted cross over tubes...
-
Coil Springs
I don't think those V10 coils have the rating they are stated to have...
-
Fuel Line Question
So, to do it right, I should get all new 1/2" fittings for my fuel boss and run 1/2" everywhere?
