  1. Well if my cut and solder doesn't work, then I will definitely just buy the new cable and sensor. Got a few more days till I go back to work, but when I do it I'll let ya know how it goes!
  2. Well I'll ell ya, when I do the other side I will remember tie the dagum wire up out of the way . Never done a hub/wheel bearing with ABS, All my previous vehicles have been w/o ABS so I never had to worry about it. Good thing it was my own truck to learn on though! LOL
  3. That looks pretty killer! I may be doing the same thing now that I see hoe good it looks!
  4. Solder was the plan with a healthy length of heat shrink, and yes I will tie it back further this time. I can't believe I over looked such a crucial thing. :banghead::banghead:
  5. That might be a good option to go with, I just watched a youtube video where a guy spliced his ABS wire back together and it work great. I'm gonna give it a try and hope for the best, lol
  6. So I replaced my wheel bearing/hub assembly yesterday, I didn't put the heat shield/dust shield plate back on due to destroying it getting the hub off. My ABS wire was then able to rub on my rotor, not to my knowledge of course, and proceeded to cut the cable almost in half. Is there any way to fix the cable? I really don't want to buy another 270 dollar hub for a dagum cable.
  7. I build rustic furniture on my spare time, it is definitely worth something to someone like me. If you know any one around you in the rustic field, talk to em.
  8. It is pretty chunky. Depending on how much/little shaking you do and how often will dictate the "chunkyness" lol. I wanted a more aggressive look/feel so I just kept it from solidifying and rolled it on thick as such.
  9. I did the Dupli-Color DIY Roll on bed liner in my bed and on the rockers up to body line about a year ago. It holds up nice if you apply it to the recommended thickness or thicker. I didn't at first and some of it peeled while I was loading my bed with wood. So I had to clean it up and apply a few more coats. It looks great and functions even better. Before the rockers got done, just bed.
  10. Probably the quickest and easiest ways I can think of is to disconnect the ground from the socket and run a new ground wire to a known good ground source. If that remedies your issue then you know your ground is bad. Or it will tell you it's not a ground issue and you need to start chasing the feed wire.

  13. Really!? That's not good at all! Hmm Well it looks like I'm on the hunt for a BHAF!
  14. Whats wrong with the K&N?
  15. Stock exhaust, stock truck. Only thing I have is a K&N air filter and I removed the silencer ring from the turbo. I put on a 4" turbo back exhaust to twin 6" stacks, it was a huge upgrade. Then the noise got a little much on longer trips so I installed a muffler and it quieted down pretty good.
  16. I thought the same thing! lol. It's amazing! Glad you're having fun!

We just had another one due to excessive speed also. Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling a tad too fast around a sharp corner, went off and rolled twice. driver lived. It just makes ya think "what's the hurry?"
  18. Well for the price I can't argue. I'm gonna order em up and get to work
  19. Dripley, What made you replace these? My truck has some interesting noises and some bump steer as well. Ive checked everything out and it all seems tight. I know my pass. side u-joint is on it's way out but other than that nothings seems bad. I really would like to fix it. So if this is a known issue up front, well I'll add that to my list lol.
  20. How much did this kit run ya? I have basically all these components at work so I was planning on fuse tapping an ignition hot line (at the fuse block with http://4x4icon.com/crossfire/pioneer_tuner/buss_fuse_tap.jpg), And tapping a battery hot line, same way and running them to a fuse block, similar to Mike's design. I used to wire up boats this way for gps, stereos, lights, ect. Kept all the wiring hidden and it looked neat and organized. I know from doing the fire truck conversions, use extra wire and take the time to tie the wires up out of the way and make them look as neat and organized as possible. That way everything is out of the way and it makes troubleshooting down the road easy.
  21. I couldn't tell ya where they are with out looking at it, lol. Pictures would be great!
  22. Syracuse, NY. What's up guys?
  23. At the expense of making my self sound a tad bit stupider lol :lmao:I honestly don't know much about em besides they are junk. That would be why I had my buddy check em out. This not to say they were previously wired wrong, and I have just followed suit. But to get to my point, they look awesome but are very bad quality.
  24. The housing around the halo and high/low beams have metal contacts and rings in em. A guy I woek with is a 12v guru and I had him tear em apart to find out why they are staying on, that's the verdict he came back to me with. :shrug:Not sure why but now the halos are burnt out. When I bought my truck it had the same lights in it, halos and the led lights were all out. plus the lens's were sun damaged so I replaced em, not a fan at all.
