I used amsoil in the diffs, and napa atf in the transfer case. And if I heard right I think I was told that the napa branded oils are actually valvoline.

I decided yesterday to do some over looked maintenance. I changed both diffs and the transfer case. Let me tell you it was worth it, 114k and apparently the previous owner never changed them. Now I just need to do the power steering since it always gets over looked:smart:

From what I have figured out about the high idle its all based on the design of the steering wheel. I have an 04 and I can manually do it, but my brother has an 03 with a different style steering wheen and he cant do it.

Im glad that I saw this on here!! I downloaded the demo but I cant wait for it to come out so I can play around with it and smooth everything out.

I would say its a TC lock up switch. I put mine on so I can flip it on when I go to pass people, keeps it from unlocking at full throttle. Helps out with the speed

I wonder if this is what is going on with my truck. It wants to pull to the right and after I had the new tires on it I had it aligned. I have replaced the steering dampner once with an oem one maybe its bad again.

Would aluminum or the ones what are made of rubber better? Or doesnt it make that much difference. I would think the rubber ones would absorb some of the road noise

What are everyones opinions on leveling kits?

It is an 04 and I usually see 15 or 16000 driving. Also I thought of another question on the engine tags on our trucks it says the fuel rate at advertised hp. What controlls the fuel rate the fca? My fuel rate is lower since I unfortunally ended up with a cali spec engine.

I just changed the fuel filter this past weekend. I dont think there is necesseraly a problem or anything because I remember that is did this last winter but I just thought id ask. I didnt know if it was similar to egts and in colder weather you would see a lower value. Anyways I know off hand that mine idles at 5000 but I will have to wait till it cools off again to see what it is when im driving, Im thinking that it might be under 10000 at highway speed. I almost forgot but no there is no codes and it just hit 110,000:lol:

I havnt got around to getting a fuel pressure gauge but its on the list:smart: But as far as I know it seems fine. It just seems when it is cold the rail pressure is lower.

Does anyone know why it seems like rail pressure is lower when the temp is colder? Does the the ECM cheat it back because of sensor readings? Or is there something else going on?

I use Joes hand cleaner, within the last year you can now buy it at O'Reillys but prior to that you had to get it through a dealer, so check out O'Rieillys. And for the pics I will try to remember to take some this weekend when Im putting the new shocks on.

Thanks!! I took my time but im sure it isnt perfect lol. I used that krylon fusion paint for the first time. I wasnt sold on it at first but after a few coats I changed my mind it gave it a nice finish.

Well I got rained out at work today so I descided to repaint my valve cover. Took the pic with my phone so here it is.

I was covered too, luckily because I lay blacktop for a living I have really good hand cleaner that takes everything off just like it were dirt.

I didnt get the 3M kind but I have never found anything 3M that doesnt work good

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy just the copper sealing washers for injector nozzles? I have searched the web but couldnt come up with anything. I have had a set of nozzles laying around forever and was thinking about throwing them in, or maybe I will just get the ones I want

Well I started my undercoating project yesterday. Everything went good but I didnt get hardly enough Now today it is raining, but what I got done looks good I will have to take some pictures when I get it all done.
