  1. Thats what im thinking too thanks for the help.
  2. Ya. This is what I was reading up on http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2004/18-004-04.htm I do see tho that it says model year 2004 so maybe what it means that it would work on the engines that are before a certain date and serial number but the engine would have to be in an 04 with the newer steering wheel.
  3. Ya thats true. I was reading a tsb tho and from what it was giving me, his engine serial number and date code fell under the ones that should work
  4. Thats what I was thinking too. Ive been sending emails back and forth with mads and they claim it is supposed to work. So I will see what they have to say next
  5. The truck and engine were both made in 3-03 so it would be an early model. also his steering wheel is a different design than what mine is so maybe it wont work. I was really talking it up to him
  6. Does anyone have an 03 auto with the manually controlled high idle that works off the cruise control? I hooked my smarty up to my brothers 03 and noticed it didnt work. Ive been trying to do some research on it but its all different results:shrug:. Some thing I read said that it wont work on the 03-04s but I have an early 04 built in 03 and it works on that.
  7. well I bought the undercoating and a gallon of acetone to try to prep everything good. Now I just need to find some free time to do it:lol: I'll let everyone know how it goes.
  8. Ive been looking to to find myself the perfect 24v with my luck though it would have a 53 block and crack for me .
  9. That doesnt sound bad with the price of shipping on everything these days
  10. Im running MBRP 4'' turbo back with the muffler on my 04 and like it.
  11. I knew a guy that claimed that he would spray the underside of his truck so often with WD-40. Im not that decitated
  12. I know the salt does a number on them! Thats why id like to try to protect it with something
  13. I want to put something down before its too late Im just curious on how it holds. I suppose its all on how you prep it tho.
  14. Im thinking about undercoating the frame rails on my truck. Has anyone else done this?
  15. would it get a better reading as to which bolt you remove? Or doesnt it affect it at all
  16. looks like I'll be trying the boost bolt it beats taking off the intake horn and tapping it anyways.
  17. thanks thats good to know I didnt know how accurate they were
  18. Hey everyone just want a few opinions. My brother just got a cummins so I might be selling my edge to him since I only use it for the gauges. With that said I am going to have to get a new pyro and boost gauge. I have a banks high ram intake horn but it is not tapped for a boost elbow. Should I tap that or does anyone know how well that boost bolt works?
  19. Prior to running the cleaner I had been using 2 cycle oil in the fuel, maybe the ticking and noise difference is from when I switched to the cleaner. I will have to go back to the 2 cycle then I didnt seem to have problems when I was using that.
  20. well it is the powerservice injector cleaner and I think that it has cetane in it that could be it. I just dont want problems haha:doh:
  21. Im running cleaner through it now. just latley it seems like it idles louder with the ticking sound. Also a few weeks ago I would have to crank on it a second longer before it would pop and it would smoke, but that hasnt happened resently. I just get paranoid about the injectors on these trucks I dont want to wash the engine out!
  22. what would cause an injector tick? If thats what im hearing
  23. you could use rubberized undercoating and spray the frame with that:shrug:
  24. diesel dropped all the way to 3.84 here the other day! I hope its still on a downfall.
  25. diesel is back to being cheaper than gas where im at 4.04 and 4.09 for gas. Its not much but its a start! --- Update to the previous post... I lied on my last post I drove by the station shortly after I posted that and to my happy suprise diesel went down to 3.94 and gas stayed the same. I like a 15 cent difference in my favor:hyper:
