  1. I agree Mike the next step is going to be to try to get the bleeding heart liberals to pas laws to come and get our guns. Most of mine are old enough to not be registered. , but I guess I shouldn' t broadcast that.
  2. That's why I carry and am a NRA member ,It's, the only way we can protect our right to keep and bear arms. We don't need a CCW in AZ. any more, but I had one until a couple of years ago.
  3. The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun
  4. your going to have to confirm that with Mike .I'm not touching that.HA HA
  5. My wheels and tires have always been stock. I ran BFG's for awhile when I was doing a lot of hunting ,now I'm running Michelin load range E LT 265/7R16 RLE because I'm not doing much off road driving. I have never beat my truck but I have had have 4wheeled it in some pretty nasty rocky places. I didn't use synthetic fluid either but I may go to it next time around. I do think that flushing and changing fluid @30K is a very good preventative measure. Thanks for your comments Art
  6. I guess it doesn't mean anything, just trying to analyze the reason why the seal and the bearing went out. The first time I flush my p.s system was @ 50K. It seems to be getting hotter all over the the west
  7. My original box started leaking started leaking from the pitman shaft seal @ 65k the bearing had excess play @ 85K. I got this box from Napa less than 6mo. ago. I think these suppliers are getting their rebuilt boxes from unreliable re builders. I was told by Napa that they didn't use Cardone boxes because of there bad reputation .Mike I guess you just lucky , maybe living in southern AZ. with no power steering fluid cooler has something to do with it.
  8. Thanks Mike. Looks like I'm returning tat box to Napa, I jus5t hope the next one is rebuilt right.
  9. I replaced my power steering box 6 months ago with a rebuilt box from Napa, . Last week I took my truck to an alignment shop because I had excess play in the steering. They diagnosed the problem as tie rod ends and excess wear in the drag link. I have ordered all the defective parts. They also noted that the gearbox pressure is off left to right .Is this something that can be adjusted by the pitman shaft adjustment screw on top of the box, or should I just return the box to Napa while it is still under warranty? The truck drives good and I don't notice much difference in the steering right to left or left to right. Ball joints were o.k Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks.
  10. My 02 has 87k on it .I've changed fluid and filter every 25k.Pobably overkill, but makes me feel like I'm taking care of my truck.

The codes were B1112 (ignition voltage low) and B1511(driver side buckle switch open or short to ground) Thanks for your help. I don't post much, but I sure get a lot of info from all you guys. I really appreciate this web site and all of the members. I kinda feel like I know Them. Thanks again Art

Air bag warning light was reset, they had a couple of codes but once they were cleared they didn't come back .Cost me 78 bucks a lot cheaper than buying aSRS scanner

Thanks for the information. I called a shop that my family has been using for 40 years and decided to let them figure it out. They have a SRS scan gauge .Some times I have to bite the bullet and realize I can't fix every thing. Thanks

thanks for your help.Do you need a SRS code reader or will my san11 gauge work? It doesn't show any codes on it?

Thanks Mike. I'll try to figure it out ,but I've pretty well checked all the connections. I'll probably have to go to the Kia dealer. I suspect a bad air bag modual, but I have no way to trouble shoot it. Thanks again. Art

Anybody know how to reset an air bag warning light on a 02 kia sadona? Doesn't show any codes, no cel . I've disconnected the battery for 20 min hoping it would reset, but didn't do it. Any suggestions? It's my wifes car with only 50k ,bought new never been in accident.
  17. Welcome from S. Az.
  18. What a great letter. I feel the same ,and just wish there was more that I could do besides donating. When I called Mike about a year ago on a sunday night about a problem that I was having with my truck, he wasn't home, but called me back and spent a half an hour helping me. A guy that is as busy as he is and still has time to call me back on a sunday night has got my vote as one of the nicest persons I know. Thanks again to all who feel like I do about Moparman1973 and arewilling to support it
  19. Mine reads the same boost pressure as my gauge. water temp. indicates the same as my dash gauge, And doesn't ever go blank as long as it's plugged in or till10 seconds after I shut the engine off. I can turn it back on without the engine running but it will shut down after about 10 seconds if I don't push any buttons. I think this is how it's supposed to work.

Being I'm 76 years old I've got a head start, you just have to enjoy them and love them. Each one is a special gift from God. I have been blessed by my grand children just seeing there Christian character gives me hope that there still be some hope for this country. Love them spend time with them teach them to hunt and fish and bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord and you will be blessed. Congratulations Joe
  21. Thanks Mike, When I turn the key to run and then start I always have about 3 or 4 # pressure on my gauge , but the engine fires immediately and pressure jumps to 18 #.This truck runs better now than it did when it was new, but my mileage is terrible (about 11 in town and15 on the highway.)
  22. I 'm not going to mess with the trigger wire to my lift pump relay As long as it gets pressure when I bump the starter and it fires right up. I may take it to the dealer and have my ecm flashed being I've never done it since I had my ecm rebuilt. My mileage is down about 3 miles per gal, but it's sure got good power an it shifts good and firm.
  23. Thanks for the info. The only reason I noticed this was because when In installed my Fass I could only get the lift pump to power for 1 sec , without jumping the relay, regardless if I turned it back to run .(I jumped the relay on the lift pump to get fuel to the i.p. )If for some reason it doesn't fire right away( which doesn't happen very often ) I have to turn the key to off and start over ,where before the lift pump would run for 25 sec by turning the key to run. Now as soon as the engine fires the lift pump ,which I assume is getting power thru the ecm via the idle validation circuit .Perhaps I am over analyzing this.
  24. The only time I get power is for 1 sec ,Till the engine fires.I would not have thought any thing was out of the ordinary ,if it did that before I had the ecm rebuilt. The dodge FSM list the sequence of the starting events like it was before I had it rebuilt, maybe I'm overthinking this .My dad used to tell me if it aint broke ,don't fix it. Thanks for your help, I'm just trying to understand a little more about how the ecm functions, all the computer stuff goes over my head.
  25. Being we are one the lift pump subject. I have a question about the time the lift pump is receiving power from the trigger wire.I had my ecm rebuilt about a year ago by AES in Fl. when I got it back I couldn't get it to power up (no wait to start light). I talked to them on the phone and told them that I was going to dispute the charges on my credit card. They said the problem had to be with my truck but they would be glad to check it out. When they got it back I got a phone call saying there was nothing wrong with it and sent it back. When I installed it,it would power up, but the lift pump trigger would only power up for about 1 sec. I could jump the relay on my Fass pump and get it started initially .After that the lift pump would would run for the 1 sec ,and as soon as the engine started pressure would come up to 18#.The truck runs good starts good, but still has only power to trigger wire for that 1 sec when I first turn the key to run or start ,It fires right up and pressure comes up. I have noticed my milage has dropped since. I didn't have my ecm flashed after it was rebuilt. Could this be some of the reason for the lack of power to the trigger wire ,or is a problem with the ecm? I kinda figure If it works don' mess with it.
