  1. Will work with the BD stabilizer and factory steering shaft according to what they say on their site. Using the factory steering shaft you have to notch the input shaft on the box to fit your shaft though...wonder if that would be that hard to do?
  2. Are you running one of those from geno's Wild anf Free? If so, do you have any wander? did you use your shaft or buy theirs?
  3. have been noticing a drop in power and loud engine noise from the drivers side under heavy acceleration for a month or more and started digging on the weekend. I found my boot coming off the intercooler on the drivers side has about a 3 inch slit in it caused by the inner fender. Could'nt see it until i started pushing on the boot because of the road dirt build up on it.Now just to figure out where i'm going to buy a boot
  4. Anyone know any places online that sell the little black push in type clips for holding the plastic inner fenders on? Also looking for the plastic clips that hold door panels on. Going to the dealer you get rode for them by paying a few bucks for a couple, i'd like to replace all mine with good ones
  5. Mines below and the damn high idle still wont work :banghead:
  6. Yea I do mean the rear view mirror stuck fast to the windshield with the auto darkening feature, so you can see cars behind you. Three wires coming out of it and I haven't a clue what they hook to because from what I can tell my truck didn't have any type of factory wiring harness up under the headliner, just some wires someone ran themselves trying to coble stuff up. Only wires they had going up to the headliner from the dash were the two yellows with only 6 volts going through each oneWe tried putting direct power to it but didn't see the little light on the push button light up so thought i'd ask here if there's a certain way it's to be wired where it's three wires and not two
  7. I was looking at my truck today and someone installed the sun visors that has the lights on the side, but they never worked. I took the pillar off on the drivers side and there's two yellow wires there that were cut, one has a tracer and the other is solid. Both wires with key on has only 6 volts through them. What we ended up doing was running a new fused wire up to the visors and got both side to light now so that's noty really my issue, what I don't know is how the rear view mirror is wired because thos wires were hacked up too. The wires coming off the mirror are a blk, purple and a blue with a tracer. Can anyone tell me how to hook this mirror up? Could the 6 volt wires be for it? Is the little push button on the bottom of the mirror suppose to light when lights are turned on, key on or what? Cofused on how these mirrors work
  8. I'm also having this issue even though it is better with the DSS I just put on. Figure my steering wheel play is about 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock's worth on the wheel when driving. Like Flagman siad, just enough to keep you correcting most of the time when driving.
  9. :lmao2:Jefff929...that avatar couldn't be more true! Good Ol Rotten Ronnie's
  10. So does anyone have some links to some good headlights to buy online? There's so many headlights out there it's hard to pick which wil be good to get. I see guinessbrewer's post with the links to Amazon, just wondering if anyone else has any
  11. I'm bought all original equipment southern parts for it this week, two fenders, door and box and may get a hood if my body guy feels I should (little edge rust on mine). All the parts are totally rust free and have never been worked at so I think i'm off to a good start. Gonna put my box and fenders for sale locally to try and recoup some of my money. Once painted I will be undercoating the backside of the fenders before i put them on, box will be flipped up on it's end so i can get at the whole underside to load the undercoating to it, and also the rest of the panels will get done too. Droped $2500 so far on parts but i'd rather buy good straight rust free panels then fix mine and end up paying probably just as much for someone to fix the rust. Getting anxious to get it done but wont be going in until mid may. Also finally going to get a set of tow mirrors after saying i should have them for 4 years now . Now just to pick out my color:shrug:. I believe it's the garnet red now, would like to get something with a little more shine to it without going to reddish.
  12. I searched the forum before this post but still not clear on this type of headlight. I was looking at these to replace mine due to the usual fogged lense, anyone on here know anything on these or have them? Wonder if they're just install and wire to the ground and live via wire tape, or is it alot more to it then i'm understanding? basically want to know if this is a good way to go or not http://www.k2motor.com/94-95-96-97-98-99-00-01-dodge-ram-halo-projector-headlights-black-tm.html
  13. I use testmy.net alot too:thumbup2:
  14. That's the only reason i'm dumping this much money into it because i'd like to keep it another 5-7 years, or until it starts giving me just to much trouble
  15. So does the oil actually travel the wole lenght of that piping to get out? Thought maybe it just may build up in the elbows in the piece going up from the breather
  16. Your truck original paint MoparMan? Other than the big wow in the quad door it looks pretty straight . You do your own body work?
  17. I think I would've have lit it on fire by now
  18. there's another post on here somewhere about the same issue, I had the same thign a couple years ago. Wierd as it sounds, if I turned the headlights on and put them in high beam, all the gauges came back, put them in low and they dropped off again,I tried another cluster but the same thing happened . Went away on it's own after a while both times it happened and knock on wood hasn't happened since.
  19. Yea, i'm looking at about $4000-$4500 for the body job, about $3000-$3500 by the time I buy the body parts and odds and ends like grill, bumper etc. One body shop put it to me like this,he had a 2008 sitting there of his own, he said look at it this way, what he paid in a year or two for intrest payments is probably paying for the body work on mine. Southern parts up here in Canada can be pricy for rust free, but I guess you get what you pay for right :thumbup2:BTW gassernomore, I have a used drivers door I can sell you to fix that one on your truck..looks like you need one
  20. Had my truck for 5 years now and for the past 2 it's needed to be fixed up and painted. I can't believe the prices i'm getting but all 4 quotes come in around the same so i guess it's not one person trying to take me. I've got an 02 quad cab and i've decied since my fenders have some rust on them i'm putting a good rust free set of southern fenders on it, my door has been doughed up from being hit so a southern door and the one box side is getting a bit thick on the lip and a few blisters so i've decided to put a southern box on it too. Drivers rocker being replaced and the rest of the truck is ok to use existing panels. Hopefully I can recoup some of my costs by selling my stuff i take off because it's really not that bad, i just am fixing this up to keep and figure do it right with good rust free parts and hopefully it will last. I'm looking at about 7 grand which i can't believe i'm spending, thought of selling as is and going for something else, but around here if i sold and added the money i'm soaking into mine, I still end up with an older truck with about 200k on it and have no idea what the driveline is like. Having a kind of sick feeling in my guts over it but I guess once it's done and paid back, i'll like the truck alot more, and I know what I have. Many others on here sink that kind of money in a body job? maybe that's a going rate now days for a good job, idk:shrug:
  21. I bought the DSS from a company here in Canada. I looked at the dealers in the USA but by the time I ship it and pay brokerage fees it didn't pay to order it from there.
  22. Put my stabilzer on today...why did i procrastinate for the past two years! Nice not having to keep correcting the steering as your driving along.
  23. What kind of cab noise do you get from it? A muffled sound ,or maybe i'll compare it to an old 350 engine with a cookpot air breather flipped upside down?
  24. Had pretty well the same thing happen to me a couple years ago twice. Wierd thing was if I pulled the signal light switch back and put my lights on high beam, everything started working again, switch to low beam and it went crazy again. I tried a different cluster in it thinking it was that, new one still did the same thing. Last thing I remember doing was starting the truck with lights on and on high beam, hasn't done it since..Knock on wood!"
