  1. I think if that was me, I would've lost it already and drove the truck to Dodge headquarters and torched it on their front lawn!
  2. Very good site elshadow001, thanks! Bookmarked Really like how they show it out on video
  3. I've got the Fuel boss, been running for over two years now and lovin it
  4. Unfortunatley your learning curve is going to hurt at this point, right in your pocket book:spend:. As i'm sure people will chime in, the P 0216 code you have is most likely saying your in for an injection pump very soon. One thing about your year truck (actually 98- 02) the injection pumps are fed buy a lift pump that has a tendancy to fail, causing damage to the injection pump, therefore causing that to fail. Most people update their lift pumps with an aftermarket that is more reliable. You most likely going to have to take it somewhere to get it diagnosed for sure unless you can, one thing you must must get is a fule pressure gauge to see what you have for pressure so you don't ruin another pump. Good luck and keep us in the loop how you make out. * fuel psi 14+ @ idle, no lower the 10 psi @ WOT is what you'd like to see
  5. Going to go out and do that in a few minutes. My codes I had a few weeks ago have seemed to have cleared themselves from my odometer, showed clear this morning. Hopefully it's the Quad box causing my grief. I read on another forum of an Adrenanline causing a low map sensor voltage
  6. A few weeks ago, actually the day after that I had my flash done for high idle , I was going to town and experienced dead pedal for about 10 seconds and it threw a P0237 MAP Sensor Voltage Too Low code and tripped the engine light. This morning on my way to town I once again got hit twice with it lasting about the same amount of time, maybe a bit longer the second time. All three times were into a hill and I want to note that all times this happened was on a relatively cold engine. This morning it never tripped the engine light and I checked and I have no codes at all. First time I thought maybe it was map sensor just from where I had unhooked my programmer for gettting my flash done and then hooking it back up later, maybe a loose connection or something. I'm holding consistant 16 psi on the VP, no hard starts or anything out of the ordinary but this. Vp going out or possibly, map sensor issue, or something else? Wondered if I should start at the cheap stuff before hitting the big one
  7. To me it seems I have to ride the clutch just a bit to start n 2nd and i'm wondering if it'll cause my clutch to wear out sooner, so I tend to go with first.
  8. Good job, the more people that know about the VP's the less people will be spending on them hopefully. Where I live there's not alot of Dodge cummins with the VP44 around, so when I see or hear one somewhere I usually try to make a point of getting to talk to the owner and ask if they know about the problems with them. Surprisingly, alot of them haven't a clue about the fuel issues so most are thankful for the heads up. I was able to save one guy some cash due to his warranty almost being over and he took it in to get it checked, lift pump was weak and had codes for the VP. The dealer went good for new
  9. Wonder what the longest has been for anyone to run a VP after the P0216 before it calfed completely
  10. MoparMan, (or anyone else )you know anything about this brake or where I can find some info on it? I'm wondering if it runs off of truck vaccuum or how it hooks up? Emailed the guy selling ti but he knows little about it. I looked hoping to find a model number in the pic but I can't see any to do a search http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5-02-2nd-gen-all-products/310888-nib-mopar-jake-brake-kit.html#post3317551
  11. I used to be an Armorall fanatic, spray the dash and let it dry in on it's own. One thing I hated was like Mopar M said, the dust is a pain. I got tired of cleaning it so I don't bother using it on the interior anymore
  12. ISX....the man that will stop at nothing to show people how things are done! So what request would it take about tearing something apart on a truck that you "wouldn't " go out in the yard and tear yours apart to show somebody
  13. That never entered my mind but you may be onto this reason it's like that? I know my wife kind of jacknifed the horse trailer one day to the passenger side. Hmm, jack knifing to the passenger side, that would put the strain on as a pull towards that side wouldn't it, or would it be trying to drive the hitch away from the jack knife?
  14. Before this Dodge I had a Ford F250 with the old 7.3 diesel. I used Esso oil 15/40 and every time I did an oil change, shortly after it had a very noticable green tinge to it to where i also wondered about antifreeze mixing. My symptoms where the same as yours. I ended up chalking it up to the oil and stopped worrying about it. Drove it 6 years like that and had no issues , with the motor that is, the rest is best unsaid:lmao:
  15. If she could I would've got her at mine, some peckerhead must've tapped my fender up on the top of it and put a dent about the size of a quarter, right in the center so it stands right out at you when looking back the side of it. Too high for a door ding and I know it wasn't me that put it there
  16. Well the wife had a professional photographer in a couple weeks ago to take pics of her horses , our dog and ourselves, of course being a guy I said,"can you snap a couple pictures of my truck while your here?"
  17. Shouldn't have to, if I can remember right you can just push down a bit on the cover and it should give you enough room to get in by it and get at the bolt heads
  18. What did you order for a gauge?
  19. JUst came in from outside checking the high idle and the 6 cyl and 3 cyl high idle is a go . Prowelder, i'll probably soon contact you about the switches....rigth after i'm done throwing the Quadzilla programmer in the garbage
  20. IDK, I doubt it, probably just coincidence. The 257 was for low voltage map sensor I think. Lights off now so i'm not worrying about it
  21. You just spray with the pressure of an ordinary water hose or do you use a pressure washer?
  22. Actually it wasn't to bad for cost to get into it. I think he paid under $10 grand for the plane and about $3 grand for the flight school training. Now mind you his little "accident" cost hime a couple thousand bucks Claims he's gonna get me up in it when he's allowed passengers but i don't think so. Only ever been on one plane in my life, so as you can see i'm not to fussy on flying, let alone in something with a snowmobile engine:lmao:
  23. Lol, my brother in law went last year and got his ultralight license, last fall he had his first crash when taking off. He got up above the tree tops and went to bank out and she came to a dead stop, no power whatsoever! Lol, needless to say, he came down alot quicker than he went up, falling about 60-70 feet. Smashed the plane up a bit so he decided it was a good time to do what he wanted to it, so he rebuilt it from bottom to top and got it back in the air last week. The videos aren't really long but he did a couple fly byes over my place yesterday. Thought some might find it kool
  24. Ha, never poped any codes for a couple years now and this morning , the day after having my flash I got a P 0237, P1693 and a P1694 on my way to work. Truck went limp for about 5 seconds then kicked in and the engine light came on and stayed on. Started working ok after the 5 seconds or so, and when I came out form work 12 hours later , started the truck and the engine lights off now. I see the map sensor is the P 0237 code for low voltage , wonder if that made it go limp for a few seconds, just like I had no turbo or something. I had my Quadzilla unplugged yesterday when I got the flash and plugged it in later on in the day, but drove it aorund with no issues, got home today and checked to make sure I had the plug in good when i reconnected it, seems ok . Coincedince since the flash, probably , but I just have to laugh though
  25. Git my high idle and 3 cylinder idle enabled today at the dealer. The mechanic never done a 2nd gen one before and never heard of the 3 cylinder idle, took him about an hour. Good thing I took a copy of the TSB on a flashdrive, he asked if he could keep a copy for future reference. Sad part no, i can't tell if it's all going to work until it's cold enough
