Ah to get the axle higher or lower you need to remove either one so the sway bar doesn't cause resistance?

Wheels and Tire Setup
For guys like @trreed and @TFaoro and anyone else running the 4th gen wheels, what lug nuts did you use? Seems like the stock ones are supposed to work but I don't have stock wheels and lug nuts so just looking for clarification.

Awesome news man, glad you got it all situated!

Front end lift questions
Cool, I was thinking similar I think... Loosen lug nuts on ground, lift via front diff high enough to get wheels off ground, jack stands under the frame, take wheels off, lower jack to manipulate the springs/shocks coming out, replace, and repeat to lower. I think we're saying the same thing just slightly different

Front end lift questions
Are you just lifting by using the cross member or something? It's hard to jack the front of these trucks up being they're so heavy! I'd be interested to hear how to you go about taking your spacer out Jag so if I do go that route I can know how it's done!

Worth trying....Olive Oil on truck.
I tried this and it does make it look real nice. We've had a good amount of rain since then and it seems like excess washes off. Still looks good but you can sorta tell where it's darkest and not much water hit and where it did. Over all still worth it compared to all new plastics.

Wheels and Tire Setup
Ok, the white wall must be size associated. I hear ya on the wheels. I have some aftermarket 16's from Les Schwab and they look ok but I do worry about the consistency. Luckily I picked up a set of 4th gen wheels for 150 so can't complain about that! I think the reason these tires are getting a little pricey is the size

Lookin good Mike How many miles you have on them now? Does yours have the outline white letters? Seems they all come with that in 285 size.

Wheels and Tire Setup
I'm leaning that way Mike, especially since they're the cheapest. I wouldn't mind trying those Coopers especially since it's the last American tire company (right?) but they're a bit more then I'd like to spend but no where near the Toyos! No one else has tires they like and would recommend?

Nice! I should replace mine to see if I just got junkers from FASS!

Front end lift questions
Yea I wondered about that. I did see quite a few say it wasn't bad when empty. Those that did think it was a little harsh took out the spacer so it wouldn't touch until it was loaded down a little more. @Mopar1973Man Like I mentioned, I'm not opposed to going back to stock height, just would prefer to stay with the leveled look. Since I don't tow that often I'd like to find a good compromise to have the preferred unloaded look without squatting terribly when I do tow. @JAG1 I'd come help if we were closer! Also, not sure if you'd need to go back to non-adjustable track bar or not.

Front end lift questions
Yea I was just as confused Dripley hahah It does have a bit of a rear end sag though, just not as much as I would've thought. It may not have been on the overloads here, if not they were just a touch above resting on the overloads. I don't mind the stock rake look, I just don't like the over rake look some trucks seems to have, almost like the stink bug look ya know?

Front end lift questions
Alright guys, recently got a set of 4th gen wheels that'll be going on the truck soon with 285's. I really like the way my truck sits now unloaded, just wanting the smaller tires. My main question is with the 2in level up front the truck sits/looks really good and since I'm not typically hooked up to a trailer this is what I prefer. However, I don't really like the truck to squat when I do hook up. I know I know, best of both worlds! Here's my truck with 1600lbs of concrete in the back, not loaded with weight distribution in mind so the majority is at the rear axle or further back towards the tail gate. It sat on the overload springs and gave me this stance. Overall not as bad as I thought it'd be but it's got me wondering. If I installed something like Timbrens, would that keep the squat more closely to my empty stance? Or even go to something like a 1in spacer? I want to avoid bags because they won't get used much and the timbrens seem much more user friendly. Either that or I toss the spacer idea all together and just deal with the raked look empty. Thoughts?!

Wheels and Tire Setup
These are the 17's off a 2011 I think. What's everyone using for tires these days? Looking for some suggestions. Was sorta leaning towards the Hankooo Dynapro ATm based on Mikes word but haven't heard about them since he's started putting serious miles on them. A friend of mine swears by the new Toyo Open Country R/T but they're spendy.

47re 2-3 bind up
Yea either keep trying Dave or you can call Jon and see what he thinks.

47re 2-3 bind up
Seems weird you're having issues with this. I'd figure all of Goerend's stuff would come with all the top notch goodies ready to go and you wouldn't have this issue. I'd be interested to hear what @Dynamic thinks.

Torque Converter to Flexplate Loose Bolts
I looked heavily into an auto to manual swap and decided that with the level of detail I'd want the swap completed at, I was better off just building the auto. No regrets on the built auto!

trreed's upgrade thread
I'd be interested to see if you have harder starts now after you leave it parked up hill over night with 1/2 tank of fuel or lower. This would confirm my thoughts on the oem return line being the issue.

Do you have a pic of the whole truck? I'm sorta in between 265s & 285s

EGT's after the turbo
I drilled mine engine off, put grease in the grooves, and pencil magnet when completed. Bumped the starter a couple times to blow any small bits through before officially starting it. Done this twice with no issues.
