  1. My AirDog 150 has about 8-9 years on it and thinking it may die at any time. Whats the latest on the manual pumps and filter set up for it?

  4. I been ignoring this for about a year now maybe even longer, just curious if anyone else has this? Its my 01 with about 350K on it. It rattles for maybe 2 - 3 seconds oil pressure builds up and its fine.
  5. I had two edge ez's and both had corrosion on the inside.
  6. Yeah I could buy several 4500's for that cost. lol I'll just keep waiting, they still haven't sent warranty trans. Been 8 business days.
  7. I agree, but its all stall tactics piss you off enough and you will go away. I called a hour ago and got the same guy I talked to last Friday. He says as soon as I get a ETA for you I'll let you know. He said that 6 days ago, and 4 emails. But yes 2 trans from separate shops with aluminium, I say alum. cause thats what it looks like. I ran a magnet through the fill hole and got enough fine metal to make a nasty film on magnet. Both trans had the same problem, wont go into first gear with out putting in 3rd let out on clutch just enough to engage a little then back to first quick. I dont set at lights with my foot on the clutch so you got to pay attention if you dont get enough engagement in 3rd you got to do it again. I bought a complete top with shifting forks and shift tower just never put it in on the first trans. The second trans didnt make it that long. We had a little difficulty aligning the holes up on the mount (cross member) when we put that trans in, had to push to the right got it ok, so before we pulled trans I backed off the motor mounts and it was easier to pull. I dont think that would be a problem do you? I mean once its bolted down it dosent have a force on it besides the ujoints would have to be so outa wack it would be stupid.
  8. Can anyone recommend a trans re builder (nv4500), I have been jumping through hoops with powertrain products since last Thursday. I showed them 3 pics of aluminum in oil, I even sent a short video. Not a word from these people, Im going through another weekend with my truck all over my shop. I think for my sanity I just need to cut ties with worthless people and buy another trans.
  9. On my second rebuilt trans in a year. Both trans are full of metal or alum. I wish I knew how to put pics on here, you would say wth. Of course they are dragging their feet mean while my shop is shut down with truck in the bay. Where do you find those filters? Also I am filling trans from the top with 4 qts, can it hold more if so how much more?
  10. What is involved in replacing the nv4500 with the 6 speed? I cant keep a 5 speed evidently, I believe they just skimp by on parts or something. The only other thing I can think of is I'm running the amsoil synthetic.
  11. Up date - rear main is dry as a powder house, new transmission front seal leaking. Pulled trans got it out on the bench investigated a little closer and input shaft bearing has wear marks on race and bearings. Called powertrain products and they seem to be ready to send a new trans, will know more after they look at pics. Trans has a lot of metal or aluminum shaving in it. 500 miles on this trans. This is my luck. Will keep you up dated.
  12. I bought the Felpro gasket which feels like rubber, would the teflon be better?
  13. So I replaced trans, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate and while I was there I replaced the rear main seal. I noticed it leaking very little over the pasted week then I took it for 350 mile round trip and its leaking bad now. Got new seal and going to do it again, any tricks to the trade here? I know the front seal has a sleeve to install but nothing on the rear? I thought I would grease it up this time.
  14. I went through ECD 727.00 Flywheel and all, 375hp basic stock. The old clutch, I should have left it in and ran it. The pilot bearing was perfect, throw out was in good shape and the clutch, I'll put a caliper on it and let you know. One question, what would you lube the splines with on clutch? What ever I used back then still looks good I wish I could remember.
  15. Good tips, i am looking at buying a new South Bend Clutch, just over stock. Who would you recommend to purchase from? From what Ive seen everyones about the same on price just trying to support good folks.
  16. Ok I tryed searching and not good at it at all. Ive done it several times and cant remember. How do you remove the cross member to drop the trans?
  17. Full of aluminum, rear seal is leaking so I figure it could have something to do with tail shaft. I bought this trans from All State Gear in San Antonio Tx and it was not a good experience. I am willing to spend the bucks and get a really good trans build. Any suggestions?
  18. The spring in the cap, does that relieve pressure? I dont get it. Ordered one yesterday.
  19. All the sudden the filler cap is leaking fluid out of the cap. Pulled the cap inspected it good washed it up put it back on and still leaking. It checks out on the full mark when hot so its not over full.
  20. I called NAPA to get upper and lower ball joints for 2001 2wd 3500 and like to fell on the floor. 149.95 each upper / lower 155.03 Does this sound right? I swear 6 years ago I didnt pay 200.00 for all 4 Ac delco.
  21. You cant get the Gold Can 44K it is now a dealer only with the injector machine. I think epa has something to do with it.
  22. Am I the last person on the planet to find out you cant get the gold can anymore? Is this a Dealership thing now?
  23. I read about this and even did a search about it and nothing is specific. I understand its a over charge but all my chargers have self regulator.
