  1. Yeah, I have two apps at the shop complete with the bell and everything. I hope there good, all I should have to do is set the accelerator pedal and go. Fuel pressure I hope is just filters, I been running fuel from my storage tank and it's getting time to clean it. I hate the thought I have to buy another pump.
  2. No Edge, I removed it a while back. All I have is the boost elbow that came with it. And it struggles to get to 21lbs. After I posted I noticed I am running about 1 pound less on fuel pressure, it normally runs 15 and down to 14 when I shift and level off at 15. Now I noticed 14 and down to 13 and level off at 14, I can get 15 if I baby the throttle Ok I just checked codes and I got a P0122 then a P1693
  3. I have never had one die but here's whats happing. It shuts off just like you turned the key off and back on in a split second. It did it about 10 times in two miles. I have been hauling heavy off and on for about two weeks. I mean my foot in it climbing hills and such with about 29k combo weight. Another thing my boost will only climb to 21 and takes for ever to get there. EGTS wont get above 1000. Now the only thing I am running is the boost elbow that came with the old Edge EZ, you would think it would be better than that. I have just been driving like grand paw for the past year or so but am back to custom baling for the public. I didn't know it was so low on HP. This motor came out of a 2001 auto, I put my turbo on it and its stock other than intake. It has about 150k on the turbo and checks out ok, you think its time for inj? They have 260k on stock inj. No smoke other than normal, light puff between gears dark in color.
  4. I know it has been written a thousand times, what oil filter number for a wix oil filter?
  5. It's not every time. Also my truck sets a lot, it might be 4-5 days go by and some times more. I thought maybe the fluid settles in it or something along those lines. I live on a county rd and it's about 4 hundred yards to the hwy. I drive slow and you can hear it pulling air, I don't think it's fully engaged because I have heard them really making a loud noise. This wont last long, maybe 20-30 yards and it kicks out. It checks out ok the best I can tell, it has a drag when you try to turn it and no slack.
  6. My 05 will lock on start up and kick off when rpm get above 1300. Then I never hear it again.
  7. About three days ago he came by and I said to him your truck sounds like it has a miss. He said it started that a few days ago, not really a dead miss but just slight. I told him to change fuel filter, and he said it was past due. Well on the way home it got worse, so he pulls head and #4 has part of the piston cracked and missing (out the exhaust my guess) so he puts it back together and off to the dealership he go's. Well first stop they didn't like what they heard so he goes to the next, hook line and sinker they offer him 18k for it and he gripes about the electric 4x4 knob on the 2015 3/4 4x4 and how he wasn't going to pay that much for it and they cut him another 1k off the sticker. Well out the door was 34k, finally somebody I know stuck it to the dealership. lol
  8. I see the screws you used but what is it screwed to. In other words your not going to get a screw in the azz are you? lol
  9. Hey guys, I am looking for a roof mount rack for my rifle. Dose anyone have one that they would recommend?
  10. Somebody tell me why after 40 miles there was no oil in the hubs. This has me scratching my head. The diff was full of oil coming out the hole and nothing in the right hub. The right side also has no rust (clean). Then I over fill and it has oil in less than 1/2 mile. These rear ends are strange.
  11. Ok guys here it is. I don't have a smart phone to prove what I saw so You can take my word for it or not but I am not going to do it again to prove to the non believers. My house is 1/2 mile from my shop, I drove straight home after putting it all together all I did was over fill it and it set in the garage. I went straight to the shop because I thought what if there right about the grease blocking the bearings. I did lean it in a ditch before I came to the shop about 5 min. At the shop I drove on to a 4x6 block so it is leaning to the right I left the bottom bolt in the axle to be ready for it and sure enough the oil came flowing out ran all over the rim. I believe over filling it and lean it in a ditch is the way to do it. I think really the over fill is the real cause just my thought. I also believe 80-140 is to thick I will be draining my 05 and putting 80-90 in it. I also believe the grease will be diluted in a short time. Anything with a chemical base that is thinner than another it will thin it out. Just my two cents.
  12. Stay tuned, I will pull wheels hang axle again and see if it runs over to both sides.
  13. Fail as it may by the amount that's in there its done anyway. I used a lite amount of Mystic tube grease then put Mystic 80-90 in the diff. The right side is the clean side and it took it 1 1/2 hours for it to get over there and drip from the axle. I put the Mystic in thinking they are at least compatible, the make up is the same. But like I said I think it done anyway so why put 45.00 worth of Amsoil in it if its done. She has 300k on diff. You know what gets me is the right side has no rust at all, its some what brown but no flakes like the right. What you saw was one swipe with the rags attached, I swabbed it several more times after that then just called it quit's. Here's the real pisser to all this, I spent 450.00 the first time around and 210.00 today, I hate to think for another 750.00 I could get a rebuild. Which is what I will be looking for when this one bites the dust.
  14. All the rust and crud is coming from what we thought was the good side (driver side). I'll be back in a little while, got to finish putting it together.
  15. I am putting new bearings in now and just to give you a up date. I called Mike and let him know what was going on and while we were on the phone I had the frame on jack stands rear end just hanging from the springs. I jacked the left side up till it was 8 inches off the shop floor and the right side was 5 1/2" off the ground, no results. With Mike on the phone I increased the left side to 8 !/2" and right 5" At that time it just started to flow thru the inner bearings at the diff, this was 11:30 at 1;10 it made its first drip from the end of the axle tube. I also went to only true good shop in town and told him what was going on and he laugh and said learning the hard way huh. I said pack the bearings, so the bearings are getting packed. Also that is Amsoil 80-140 I am switching to Delvac 80-90 I'll let you know how that works.
  16. Go back to Mikes post click on apps install, go to 24 valve then go to Eng. system and its right there.
  17. I thought about putting oil on the bearing (like you say) but if splash fed like I thought (my fault) it should have had oil in it before I left the shop. BUT I should have done some reading up on the subject. Thanks
  18. All I can tell you is it locked up in 48 miles and these are short trips to town with a full rear end. That was the first thing I did was try to put more oil in the rear end, it held two pumps of oil with the small pump you get from amsoil. The hub was completey dry just like I left it, because I thought it would get oil right away.
  19. My son races Southern Sport Mod. and we added a fill plug to the rear end so we can fill it 3/4 full due to the force of the car turning to the left all the oil runs down the axle tub. Believe it or not it does no blow out the breather tube. We also did away with the stock tube and just run a hose down the tubing frame. Any way you live and learn, I just seem to keep learning and learning. lol
  20. Ok, I cant be the only one that has screwed up doing this (I hope anyway). I did a rear brake job with new drums, brakes, wheel bearings, seals, and change rear end oil. When I took the hubs apart they had oil in them and running out everywhere. Put everything back together and 40 miles later the rear wheels lock up. WTH right. THE REAR HUBS ARE NOT SPLASH FED FROM THE REAREND. Just because you put oil in the rear end don't mean the bearings are getting any. I went and found me a big hill to park it sideways on so oil can get in the hubs, I let it set there for 15 min then swap sides let it set for 15 min that side. I plan on doing this once a month (call me crazy) but the hubs are not getting oil if you are driving flat down the HWY. That is the stupidest crap designed for a one ton truck I ever heard of. How the heck the bearings going to stay cool with a heavy load on asphalt in 108 degree heat in the summer? Singed PISSED OFF
  21. My headliner is falling and I am about to just rip it out. Is there any place out there to purchase a new one.
  22. I think he's getting one or two months out of them. not running ATF might be the reason.
  23. A friend of mine's boss has a 04 and it keeps blowing pump seals. He is putting in the fourth pump tomorrow, there from Auto Zone. I told him that's the problem, lol you would think one of them would hold. Anyone had this problem?
  24. I personally think the donations are chicken feed, there should be a 50.00 fee at least. How much does it cost to get some info from Dodge the next time your truck throws a code. You wont get it, will you. I think you should have a donation set up every time you need info on how to set valves, injection pump, how to clean injectors.
