I never had luck spinning the tires, get drums turned or new ones and set shoes to were you have a little difficulty getting drum over the shoes has worked for me.

I bought a new to me 2012 5.7 1/2 ton 4x4 and according to the book it claims run 5-20 weight oil. Here in central Texas it gets hotter than hell and that just seems to light so I put 10-30 in it, anyone see a problem with it?

The compressor is fine blows cold its the clutch that is squeaking and its 10 years old so I decided to replace. When adding oil should I measure what comes out and fill new compressor to that level? The compressor calls for 6.4 oz.

So I bought this 2012 Ram 4x4 Auto with the Hemi and got a good deal until I noticed the whining noise, It only whines when decelerate at 30 mph down to 20 mph and you don't hear it anymore. I didn't think anything about it at first. So I changed all fluids and no metal, what the heck is going on?

Getting ready to replace tie rods and found some ball joints by Detroit, I never heard of them. Or whats your suggestions? All I know is stay away from Moog.

A little late to the conversation but I'll throw this iron on the fire. Replace crossover tubes, I know 500 people reuse them but that 501 is me and yes it will bite you in the azz. I had a dead cylinder miss that I tore down 3 times and my I told you so brother said its a cross over. I blew them out all 3 times but there was crap inside one that wouldn't come out with air and that's all it was. Also they are a softer metal designed to crush(that's how it seals) been there done that.

I am close to stock, DDP 50 hp injectors is all. Your cool down seems hot, I can come in off the hwy at 800 and it will idle down to 250 in less than 1 min. Now pulling is a lot different.

I am still running a isolator on my fuel pressure gauge and I don't think its reading right. I remember some sort of needle valve, is there a brand or size I should look for ?

Yeah I have a 2003 gasser with the 5.7 and she has 200k on her and I just want to get rid of her before she cost me anything. Just curious to any years to stay away from and such, I don't like the electric dial for trans on the dash but hey IDK.

Looking to buy a good used 1500 4x4 any year models out there to beware of ?

I am leaning towards the resonator.

The 5" is not bad in cab but I was pulling farm tractor and a friend said good lord that thing was loud. I know its got to be loud, its over the axle and angled to the side some. The muffler is straight through so it cant muffle much at all. Is a resonator straight through?

So I been running 5" with a muffler and its sounding old. Back a few years ago I heard people talking about running Catalytic Converters that had a good sound to them. I just find it hard to put a cat on my truck. lol Anybody running them or is it bunk?

Had to many bad dealings with programmers, just wanting injector hp with out the smoke. Just checking around to see whats new in the injector world.

Hey Mike, long time no post. Fill me in on the stock injectors that sounds interesting. I don't run the EZ anymore, all I have is DDP 50hp injectors and they have always had strange miss. I think you mentioned adjust valves, no help there so I was looking to see what was the next best injector to go with.

Drum brakes, they have hit so hard that it brakes keepers and springs. Hasn't done that in a while,

My rear brakes are real touchy and been that way for a while. The Hydro boost started leaking so replaced and everything was good for 2 days and now back to locking up right rear. I ordered a divider valve today just because it was cheap enough to throw at it. No codes or anything so what do you think?

I made a post a few weeks ago about erratic miss at ldle. Well after adjusting the valves and remembering back I had this problem on a old eng. These are DDP 50hp injectors with about 5k on them and they run good but I believe there is something wrong in the injectors. I was looking through DAP site and my head was swimming, could not find what I am looking for. What I would like is 60hp injectors, bosh bodys , very little smoke. I mostly pull heavy tractors and don't want to break anything so just staying with injector hp. I had a set of 75hp years ago but to much smoke for me, I don't remember any erratic idle with those.

Is 8 and 18 still a good setting on valves?

Injectors set for a few years with only 600 miles on them. I suppose they could be bad. These are DDP's 50hp what would you suggest for a top of the line injector?

Eng has 3ook on it and just changed the injectors, they were real bad. Eng sounded fine but no HP slow spool up and low EGT. Now it has good hp and all but at idle it is sorta erratic. Its not a miss. Tach has a little bounce to it, I think I read somewhere cam sensor need replace? No codes with the key but the 1693 comes up but nothing else.

Did axle seals about 2 years ago, good thought.
