Yea your right about the chemicals they will probably have a ATF- 5 out by next week LOL. So in your research have you found any inj. cleaners that will work. The only reason I ask is the old tractor has valvue guide seals that are letting a little oil past and she smokes a little if you leave her idleing and well you know I just trying to take care of the old girl.

I know this is a little off subject but can apply to older trucks. I read a subject somewhere that ATF fluid was better for cleaning injectors on older model diesel eng. I know we dont wont to run in VP44 will cause damage. Is there any truth to this? And new trucks with particulate filters is a big no no with any type of oil. (right) The reason I bring this up is I have a 1974 model 4030 John Deere and thought about the 35 year old injectors in this tractor.

Do you know what your mileage is now? If you put a Bhaf (air filter) and 4"exhaust that will make big dif. right there.Check out my mods. but rember I weigh 8900lbs and getting 16 in town and 18 hwy and all kinds of wind drag. When fuelmileage was checked I didnt know at the time that inj. where low pop pressure and nossels werent in good shape. Michael if you are reading this these are the ijn. that I was sending you all had low pop pressure and 3 nossels where not to his liking.These inj. only had about 45k on them that is acording to Sean that is who I bought them from.
